Muslim Cleric: Israel Belongs to the Jews!
In a world gone mad, there is still a semblance of sanity. Now brace yourself: a Pakistani Muslim cleric has declared that Israel belongs…to the Jews.
You read that right. At the same time four Arab countries have normalized relations between themselves and Israel, a Muslim leader in a very, very hostile country says that it’s clear his holy book is a sort of title deed to the land of Israel, for the Jews, not Muslims.
This is extraordinary, as the grotesque and unholy “Biden administration” evidently prepares to make good on their stolen election and begin to unravel President Trump’s accomplishments. Those accomplishments of course include the most pro-Israel policy in modern times.
It is supremely ironic that as pressure increases on Israel from one direction, it lessens in another. The relationships being created for Israel now will be vitally important in the years ahead. That includes individual epiphanies in faraway places like Iraq.
Remember, in the past decades, Muslim leaders in the Middle East have marginalized the Jews and sought to erase their history. Yasser Arafat repeatedly said the Temple Mount had nothing to do with Jews, ever. He and others in the PLO and other countries claimed the Jews had no linkage with the land. Arafat famously said he was descended from the Canaanites, and since they had occupied the land before the Kingdom of Israel, the land belonged to Arafat’s people! Never mind the fact that he was really an Egyptian and had helped the mythical narrative of the Palestinian nation.

Pakistani political and religious leader Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani announced Saturday, Dec. 20, at a conference, that he supports the normalization of his country with Israel, according to a report by British-Pakistani writer Noor Dahri.
“This is an international issue, I support recognition of Israel,” Sherani said. “Educated Muslims need to understand that the Quran and history prove to us that the Land of Israel belongs only to the Jews. King David built the house of God in Jerusalem for the Israelis and not for the Palestinians.”
Amazing! Sherani acknowledges the historical reality of David. And, in a nod to the growing annoyance with the Palestinians by their Arab brothers, he said the land was never meant for the Palestinian Arabs. In fact, says Sherani, “We should recognize Israel.”
We can hope that all this is sincere. Maybe Arab states are modernizing and realizing normal relations benefit everyone. For example, at the same time Arab states are warming up to Israel, the Jewish state is helping them. Israel is helping Sudan with agriculture, including its vaunted drip irrigation, desalination, and other things that will blossom the parched African nation.
There is also talk that Sherani’s religious announcement will give political cover to Pakistan’s political leaders. Could we handle it if Pakistan normalized relations with Israel?
I could. It would also help ease the pain of the gang of criminals in Washington holding the reigns of power.
