Washington’s Evil Regime

Very honestly, I am so sick of the so-called “Two State Solution” that I can’t stand it. Twenty-eight years of futility has led to thousands of Israeli casualties. A slew of political operatives has mucked-up any chances for real peace between Israel and the Palestinians.

Now Biden’s illegitimate administration is attacking Israel once again, reminiscent of the 1990s and 2000s. Whether it’s Warren Christopher or Anthony Blinken, left-wing diplomats are malevolent forces when it comes to the Jewish state.

The US State Department has voiced its displeasure with Israeli plans to approve thousands of new settlements in Judea/Samaria/West Bank. Reports are that Prime Minister Bennett will knuckle-under and pare the list back, so as not to “anger” the US.

Israel’s first modern “settlements” emerged in 1882, the first wave of the prophetic ingathering of the Jewish exiles. By the last 1940s there were hundreds of thousands of new Israelis. Today the number is approaching 10 million!

This is in part the State Department’s statement on the matter:

“We believe it is critical for Israel and the Palestinian Authority to refrain from unilateral steps that exacerbate tensions and fundamentally undercut efforts to advance a negotiated two-state solution.

“This certainly includes settlement activity which will make achieving a two-state solution much more difficult. It’s critical to advance steps that will promote calm and reduce tensions.”

It’s astonishing how wrong these left-wing diplomats are. The only sensible ideas in the last 50 years regarding this conflict came from the Donald Trump administration. He realized the obvious: rewarding the Palestinians’ bad behavior is a non-starter. Giving the PLO millions of dollars, appeasing the Arab Street, and demanding concessions from Israel (with none from the Palestinians) has produced a colossal diplomatic failure.

If you’ve seen the lavish Palestinian homes in “Area A,” the exclusively Palestinian-controlled areas, as I have, you’ll understand that Israel isn’t oppressing the Arabs.

(It is unconscionable that American clergy and ministries work to attack Israel on these matters. Mainline denominations openly are hostile to Israel, and growing numbers of evangelical leaders do as well.)

Evidently, Israel initially approved the construction of 3,200 homes. That number has been slashed by a thousand, so as not to anger not Biden, but the people really in charge. People such as Valerie Jarrett and Susan Rice.

Here’s how crazy this all is: at the same time the US is demanding to restrict the number of Jews that can live in the Land of Israel, Defense Minister Benny Gantz has approved the construction of 1,000 Palestinian homes in Area C, controlled by Israel. Most of these will be built near Jenin and Bethlehem.

Like a child that repeatedly behaves badly, the diplomatic cabal in Washington makes the most breathtaking mistakes. For one brief period, 2017-2021, a US administration used common sense in dealing with the Middle East.

One wonders if that will ever happen again.
