Provocation?

According to a Jerusalem Post report, Israel plans 2,000 more housing units in Samaria, while in 2019, 617 Palestinian homes were demolished.

The units will be built in the Harasha outpost and a little beyond. According to the UN, Israel plans a whopping 22,000 new housing units in the “West Bank.”

We shall see. That is ambitious and, with the demolitions, will be seen as a red flag waved in the face of the international community. As we’ve written before, good and bad things are happening simultaneously where Israel is concerned.

On the one hand, we have historically good relations between the U.S. and the Netanyahu administration, which is giving great cover to the Israelis. With Netanyahu announcing that he wants to annex the Jordan Valley, and Trump’s State Department giving the green-light to consider the Golan Heights as sovereign Israeli territory, Israel is enjoying boom days.

Of course, this doesn’t even take into account the astonishing move of the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem in 2017.

What we also know, however, is that the other side is relentless in their evil. The Left never rests, and will give no peace to Israel in the coming years. The stage is setting up “nicely” for Zechariah’s prophecies to be fulfilled, because Jerusalem will be the match that lights the great and terrible Day of the Lord.

And although FOX’s Pete Hegseth recently produced a wonderful report on the source of the Palestinian Christians’ plight in Bethlehem (featuring my good friend, Brian Schrauger), the BBC is continuing its usual flawed reporting on same.

According to a CAMERA report:

“Barbara Plett Usher, notorious for her tearful eulogy of arch-terrorist Yasir Arafat  and her participation in BBC’s longtime campaign to delegtimize Israel, was sent to Bethlehem to report about Christmas there.”

In part, this is Usher’s report:

“Bethlehem, regarded as the birthplace of Jesus, typically sees a tourism boom at Christmas and this year looks like it could be one of the busiest years in recent memory. But as a Palestinian town in the West Bank, Bethlehem is also feeling the economic effects of the Israeli occupation. Israel has restricted movement out of the West Bank and confiscated some Palestinian land to build Jewish settlements.”

This kind of stuff, these falsehoods, only inflames Israel’s many international enemies, and keeps going the fictional narrative that the “Occupation” is responsible for the Arab ills.

There are more problems.

A rash of anti-Semitic attacks—in the U.S.!—the latest at a Hannukah celebration in New York portend troubling days ahead. This is especially so as the generation of “leaders” like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez become more emboldened to spew their anti-Jewish filth.

We must brace ourselves for what is to come, and enjoy these days of relative peace.

As always, we know that our Lord is watching and in control.

Maranatha!
