On Oct. 8, 2026, Pres. Trump said, “We will not be attacking Iran at any time prior to the midterm elections to be held in the United States on Nov. 3.”
The JewishInsider Daily Kickoff wrote:
- The president’s comments could be taken with a grain of salt: In June 2025, he suggested that the U.S. was pursuing diplomacy a day before joining Israel’s attacks on the Islamic Republic, and earlier this year, he said he had not decided on whether to attack Iran, hours before the U.S. and Israel launched coordinated military strikes that took out the top echelon of Iranian leadership.
Here is Hal Turner’s Oct. 8, 2026 Snap Analysis:
- Iran has publicly assured the entire world that if they are attacked again, “It’s all-out war” and that they will “target all US bases, US Allies in the region, all Oil Infrastructure in the region, and US Bases outside the region.”
- Iran has said that if they cannot sell oil, then no one in the region will sell oil, either.
- With US Oil Reserves at their lowest level in 40 years, and with the Oil Reserves of most other countries already totally exhausted by this same situation, if Iran were to do as they say, the entire world would suffer immediate economic depression, and likely global economic collapse within weeks. Before Christmas.
- Iran has missiles that can reach space. It is not known if they have also developed the ability to release warheads in space and have them orbit to strike on the other side of the planet. If they have developed that, they may actually be able to hit us here in the United States.
- It is extremely likely that Iran would use everything it has against Israel, doing massive and horrific damage to Israel – perhaps to the point where Israel replies with a nuke.
- If anyone on this planet uses a nuke, I strongly believe other countries will do so as well.
Hal doesn’t claim to know what Pres. Trump will do, and neither do I, but more war could change the global situation in a hurry.
We need to pray that our leaders will seek God’s guidance.
(My opinion: Israel won’t use a nuke on Iran because Iran must survive until God destroys her in the Battle of Gog and Magog.)
Here are some recent events that seem to indicate that the end of the age is near:
One, concerning war with Iran’s proxy Hamas in Gaza: on Oct. 8, 2026, Amir Tsarfati wrote:
- A one-minute truth bomb this morning from Gen. Jack Keane, just back from Israel: the 20-point Gaza plan has no chance of working.
- Hamas is regenerating.
- Five to seven thousand new recruits, already through training.
- Still fighting from a tunnel network Keane walked himself — cement floors, walls, plumbing, electricity, about 400 miles of it.
- Israel has killed a lot of commanders and is systematically blowing those tunnels.
- It has not eliminated the terror organization.
- An Israeli brigade commander who has been in Gaza since October 7, and who has lost three company commanders in the fight, told Keane that Hamas has not changed one bit.
- Their identity is destruction of the state of Israel.
- That is what they’re about.
- They are not going to disarm, despite all the initiatives to help them do that.
- They’re going to stay in the fight.
(My opinion: The Bible teaches that God will not let Iran or its proxies destroy Israel, but their effort to do that COULD lead to the Tribulation Period. People need to realize that radical Islam believes that they are destined to rule the world.)
(My opinion: God is not in the process of destroying Israel. He is in the process of regathering Israel. The Holy Spirit is in the process of gathering the Jews back into the Promised Land. The step-by-step restoration of Israel – the Fig Tree – is a major sign that the end of the age is near.)
Along this line: On Oct. 8, 2026, the Prophecy News Watch (PNW) staff wrote the following: Israel Has Eliminated Thousands. But Has Hamas Changed?
- Israeli officials have announced that approximately 4,000 of the estimated 6,000 terrorists who invaded Israel on October 7, 2023, have been killed.
- By any reasonable military measure, eliminating two-thirds of the original attackers represents a significant achievement.
- Hamas has suffered devastating losses, its military infrastructure has been battered, and Gaza has experienced destruction on a staggering scale.
- Yet here is the question that should trouble every Israeli and every world leader demanding a lasting peace: What happens when the enemy loses thousands of fighters, watches its territory reduced to rubble, and still promises to do it all again?
- Most people would recognize such devastation as a reason to reconsider their objectives.
- But Hamas apparently saw no reason to abandon the organization’s murderous ambitions.
- October 7 was not a terrible mistake to be regretted. It was a model to be repeated.
- Israel is not simply fighting armed men hiding in tunnels.
- It is confronting an ideology that treats the elimination of the Jewish state as an objective worth pursuing even at an extraordinary cost to Palestinian civilians.
The PNW staff concluded that: You Cannot Bomb an Ideology Out of Existence.
Two, concerning wars and rumors of wars at the end of the age (and Iranian-backed proxies): on Oct. 8, 2026:
- Iran-backed Houthi rebels intensified ballistic missile attacks against Saudi Arabia’s capital, Riyadh, disrupting international flights, threatening critical infrastructure, and raising fears of a broader regional war as fighting spreads toward Islam’s holiest cities.
- The renewed fighting has transformed Yemen’s civil war into another major front in the expanding confrontation involving Iran and its regional allies.
- Saudi Arabia is seeking military assistance from Turkey and Pakistan under the recently established Mecca defense agreement, while Syria is reportedly considering providing defensive support or deploying forces against the Houthis.
- Turkey has pledged technical and defensive assistance, including intelligence sharing and military equipment, while Pakistan has reportedly supplied military equipment and deployed personnel to support Saudi defenses.
- The battle for Yemen is no longer confined to Yemen.
- It is drawing additional nations into a confrontation that threatens global commerce, regional stability, and the heartland of Islam itself.
(My comment: Iran is ruled by Shiite Islamists, and Saudi Arabia is ruled by Sunni Islamists. Their beliefs differ in some ways, but both believe they are right and the other one is wrong. Both believe that the one that is right will eventually prevail. So, fighting between the different kinds of Islam is not that unusual. One of them will eventually prevail over the other, and Israel will eventually prevail over all of them.)
Three, concerning a U.S. economic collapse – which will likely trigger a global economic collapse: – Pres. Trump keeps saying that the U.S. will go into a 1929-style depression if the Democrats win the mid-term elections next month.
Several experts are saying this is fact and not just campaign rhetoric.
Four, concerning an increase in the frequency and intensity of natural disasters at the end of the age: a magnitude 7.7 earthquake struck southern Panama, damaging homes, cutting power, halting flights and sending residents into the streets, while triggering more than a dozen aftershocks.
Five, concerning Israel: on Oct. 11, 2026, Amir Tsarfati wrote:
- People often ask me why I talk so much about Israel.
- My answer is simple: If Israel is so important to God that He will judge all nations for how they treat it, then it should be important to every child of God.
- Satan knows this all too well. That is why he makes every effort to stir up hatred against Israel and portray it as a liability instead of a nation to bless, stand by, protect, and help.
- Sadly, this deception has also entered the church.
- Claims such as “The church has replaced Israel” or “The New Testament ends God’s promises to the Jewish people” cause many believers to turn away from the very nation God has promised never to abandon.
- Knowing God’s Word and being filled with His Holy Spirit are essential to guarding our hearts against this deception. We must know what God has said, understand His promises, and trust His unchanging character.
Six, concerning wars and rumors of wars, the attacks on refineries, oil and diesel shortages, etc.: on Oct. 13, 2026,
- Russia struck Kiev with multiple ballistic missiles.
- Ukraine struck an oil depot in Russia.
Last week, Pres. Trump told Ukraine to stop hitting Russia Refineries.

- In the past forty-eight (48) hours, seventeen (17) United States Air Refueling Tanker aircraft arrived in Europe for further transit to the Middle East. Three (3) more such Tankers were moved from elsewhere in the US to the East Coast for further transit to Europe. That will be twenty (20) air-refueling tankers in 72 hours.
- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is reportedly seeking Saudi Arabia’s approval to launch military strikes against Iran-backed Houthi forces in Yemen, a move that could open the door to unprecedented Israeli Saudi military cooperation as the conflict threatens to engulf more of the Middle East.

Beirut’s Dahieh district will also be evacuated, and its terrorist infrastructure will be struck. More than one million Shiites will be displaced within Lebanon.”
Finally, are you Rapture Ready?
If you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God, who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this.
