John Brennan Hit With Criminal Referral Over Steele Dossier Lies
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan on Tuesday referred former CIA director John Brennan to the Justice Department for prosecution, alleging that Brennan made false statements to Congress about how the 2017 intelligence assessment on Russian election interference handled material from the so-called Steele dossier. Jordan argues that Brennan’s sworn May 11, 2023 testimony conflicted with declassified records the committee says now show the dossier was not only reviewed by the CIA but also included – via an annex – in the intelligence community’s assessment. The letter invokes 18 U.S.C. § 1001, which makes it a crime to “knowingly and willfully” make materially false statements to Congress.

Trump Winning Shutdown Fight As Public Opinion Shifts In His Favor
During the 2018-2019 government shutdown (the longest federal shutdown in US history lasting 35 days), Donald Trump’s first term administration was ill prepared for the tactics used by the establishment media, Democrats and even saboteurs within his own cabinet. The narrative spin was highly effective in painting Trump as the villain, subverting his efforts to achieve lasting security at the southern border. Currently, the US is enjoying the lowest immigration numbers in over 60 years as border encounters plummet, but this is largely contingent on Trump’s presence in the White House and cuts to subsides for illegals.

Hundreds of US military advisers to remain in Iraq to counter ISIS threat
While al-Sudani acknowledged that the agreement between the United States and Iraq initially required the U.S. military to completely withdraw from Ain al-Asad by September, the Iraqi prime minister told reporters that “developments in Syria” require a “small unit” of 250 to 350 U.S. advisers and security personnel to remain at the base.

Budapest talks on hold — but Europe still on edge
Ukraine’s European allies are rallying around Zelenskyy after mixed messages from Trump. The prospect of talks in Budapest leaves the EU uneasy. News that a highly anticipated meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin has been put on hold will offer some relief to Ukraine’s EU allies, who were left rattled by the prospect of the bloc’s most Russia-friendly member playing host to talks on the future of Europe’s security.

160 Terrorist Millionaires Released in the Gaza Ceasefire Deal
Convicted murderers received over $70 million from Palestinian Authority while imprisoned—raising questions about incentivizing terrorism. Israel’s recent release of 250 Palestinian terrorists serving life sentences for murder has created an unprecedented situation: 160 of them are now millionaires, each having received more than 1 million shekels from the Palestinian Authority’s “pay-for-slay” program during their incarceration.

Trump hosts Senate Republicans as the shutdown drags into fourth week
President Donald Trump Tuesday welcomed Republican senators for lunch in the newly renovated Rose Garden Club and breaking ground on the new White House ballroom. The GOP is projecting a unified front as Democratic refuse to vote to reopen the government. As the government shutdown enters its fourth week — on track to become among the longest in U.S. history — the country is feeling the financial hit. Economists have warned the federal closure, leaving most the 2.4 million-strong federal workforce without pay, will shave economic growth by 0.1 to 0.2 percentage points per week.

Israel’s next big security threats? Opposition leaders call on Netanyahu to prevent Turkish & Qatari troops in Gaza
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu cryptically warned of “new threats” that are facing Israel. According to the newspaper Israel Hayom, this hint referred to Turkey and Qatar: “Our enemies are trying to rearm and challenge us. In the Middle East, old threats are taking on new forms, and there are also new threats. We stand guard to thwart them. Not everything is known, and not everything will be known,” said Netanyahu.

Arctic polar vortex shows rare early signs of weakening and displacement
Forecast data indicate an early weakening and displacement of the stratospheric polar vortex over the Arctic in October 2025, as a developing high-pressure anomaly over Greenland interacts with the circulation earlier than usual, increasing the chances of colder air movement toward the mid-latitudes of North America and Europe.

Rare tornado hits Paris, France, killing one and causing major structural damage
A deadly tornado struck the Val-d’Oise department, north-east of Paris, France, at around 17:45 LT (15:45 UTC) on October 20, 2025, killing one person and injuring nine, four critically. The violent, short-lived storm collapsed several construction cranes in Ermont, caused widespread roof damage, and uprooted trees across neighbouring municipalities.

US city grants mosques preliminary approval to broadcast call to prayer over loudspeakers
The US city of Paterson, New Jersey, has backed an ordinance to allow the adhan, the Muslim call to prayer, to be broadcast over loudspeakers. Under the new measure, which still has to go through two public hearings before being implemented, the adhan would be exempt from the city’s noise control ordinance and allowed to be broadcast outside every day between 6am and 10pm.

Portugal Bans Burqa: Is It Really About Women’s Rights?
Portugal has just approved a nationwide ban on full face coverings in public, adding another country to the long list of European nations abolishing burqas and niqabs. Does this protect rights, or restrict them? Is it even about rights at all?

URGENT WARNING to the West: An Imam Groomed to Islamize Europe Has Defected — and Is Now Exposing the Plan
A Belgian convert groomed in Saudi Arabia to spread Sharia across Europe has defected, reclaimed his identity, and now risks his life to expose from the inside how Western converts are manufactured into agents of Islamization — warning the West that “behind every smile lies the will to spread Sharia.”

Sweden Surrenders: Jewish Film Festival Shut Down After Venues Fear Jihadist Violence in Islamized Malmö
A Jewish film festival in Malmö was canceled after every venue refused to host it out of fear of jihadist violence—proof that Sweden’s open-borders experiment has produced a city so Islamized that Jewish life can no longer exist in public without surrender or flight.

Gigantic Muslim ‘Planned Community’ Meets Resistance From Texas AG
Texas attorney general Ken Paxton has asked the Texas State Securities Board (TSSB) to review what he says is evidence that entities tied to the East Plano Islamic Center (EPIC)’s EPIC City project violated state and federal securities laws — and to refer the matter back so he can file suit.

‘This is not the end.’ Vance seeks to salvage shaky Hamas ceasefire in whirlwind Israel trip
Vice President JD Vance warned against rooting for failure in the shaky Israel-Hamas ceasefire, as he kicked off a whirlwind trip to shore up President Donald Trump’s signature foreign policy priority. “There is this weird attitude almost this desire to root for failure,” Vance said at a military installation North of Gaza. “This is not the end.”

Project 9212! :: By Asher Mandel

Dear Saints, Thanksgiving will soon be here! I have an idea I hope you will like. I am calling it “Project 9212” because in Psalm 92:1-2, we find this…

“It is good to give thanks to the Lord, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; to declare Your loving kindness in the morning, and Your faithfulness every night.”

I would like to propose that we, as the RR community, send up to the Lord a “thank offering” by contributing our personal expressions of thanks and praise. If you would be so kind as to send them to my email … is53@att.net … I will compile them and post them back to RR by early November so we can all have most of the month to rejoice over each contribution. If we get enough of a response (and I hope we will), I may have to post a part 2!

Entries could include thanks for: deliverance from trouble, salvation testimonies, answers to prayer, revelations from His Word, and any other personal accounts and recollections you want others to have a chance to rejoice over. I only ask that you meet 3 conditions…

1 – Keep your submissions to just 4 sentences if at all possible and include a title.

2 – Understand that I reserve the right to do some minor editing if necessary.

3 – Make sure that your submission meets the criteria of Philippians 4:8.

I thought I would share a few of my own testimonies below so that you can get an idea of the type of offering I am thinking of…

Cast Your Bread Upon the Waters…

In 1984, I had the joy of leading one of my 6th-grade students to Christ from a very abusive home. In 2017, my wife was on dialysis and in desperate need of a new kidney. God miraculously reconnected us all, and my former student (now a middle-aged woman) happily donated her healthy kidney to my wife. Now almost 10 years later, my wife is still here, active in ministry and blessing me daily – – Praise the Lord!

53 Years of Grace!

Last month I celebrated 53 born-again years! I have been compiling a list of dramatic answers to prayer, and even though I have forgotten most of what the Lord has done for me, I am closing in on 150 stories of His mercy, kindness, and grace! (Psalm 116:1-7)

John 7:17

As a young Jewish believer, I had a hard time with the title: “Son of God.” One day, I asked the Lord to please show me if this title had ever been used of the Messiah in the Old Testament so I could accept it and rejoice in it more easily. Within a few days, and without researching, I came across the prophecy of Nathan to King David in 1 Chronicles 17:11-14! I cried tears of joy because our God is an awesome God!!

Well, I just found out that 4 sentences is a challenge! Still, it is possible, and I hope you will try. Another thing I just discovered is that it would probably be even more of a blessing if you could attach a scripture reference as I did above. Just the reference, please, because the entire verse would make our “thank offering” longer than folks would want to read through.

Here is just a bit of what the Bible teaches us about the importance of giving thanks…

1 – Fighting a battle? – Give thanks!

“…the king appointed singers to walk ahead of the army, singing to the Lord and praising him for his holy splendor. This is what they sang:

‘Give thanks to the Lord; his faithful love endures forever!’ At the very moment they began to sing and give praise, the Lord caused the armies of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir to start fighting among themselves” (2 Chronicles 20:21-22).

2 – Wondering how to witness? – Give thanks!

Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done” (Psalm 105:1).

3 – Want to enter His presence – Give thanks!

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name” (Psalm 100:4).

4 – Are things pretty rough right now? – Give thanks!

“Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus” (1 Thess. 5:18).

5 –  Wrestling with anxiety? – Give Thanks!

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done” (Philippians 4:6).

6 – Want to honor God? – Give Thanks!

“…giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors me…” (Psalm 50:23).

7 – Wondering if it might be prideful to make your praise public? – Give Thanks!

“They shall also exalt Him in the congregation of the people, And praise Him at the seat of the elders” (Psalm 107:32).

Well, this is Project 9212! I am feeling especially thankful as I write this because I get to be the first one to read and rejoice over all the testimonies I hope to receive! Please send in your thanksgiving accounts in the next 3-5 days, if possible, so I can put them up on RR by early November. Now, in closing, King David has a question to ask you…

“Has the Lord redeemed you? Then speak out! Tell others he has redeemed you from your enemies.”

Thanks to all who choose to participate!
