Abusing Allies, Rewarding Enemies

Donald Trump keeps touting Middle East ceasefires that Lebanon and Iran say are not in place. He also trashes Benjamin Netanyahu in private and in public.
Months ago, America had an historic victory over the demon mullahs of Iran, and now looks ridiculous to the world, as Trump’s now-infamous ultimatums breeze by at record speed.
What’s going on?
This week, the private phone call between Trump and Netanyahu was made public by the President. One wonders why he feels the need to publicly humiliate the Israeli premier. He’s done this now several times, often bragging that he tells Israel what to do. This also comes at a time when pre-election campaigning in Israel is underway. Again, why in the world would you treat an ally this way?
According to The Jerusalem Post:
“WASHINGTON, June 3 (Reuters) – U.S. President Donald Trump acknowledged calling Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ‘crazy’ in an expletive-filled phone exchange over fighting in Lebanon, while the U.S. was trying to negotiate an end to hostilities with Iran.
“In an interview broadcast on Wednesday, Trump was asked whether he had called the longtime Israeli leader ‘effing crazy’ and accused him of ingratitude, paraphrasing a report by Axios.
“’I did,’ Trump told the ‘Pod Force One’ podcast. “I wouldn’t say angry. I was a little bit perturbed at his constantly fighting with Lebanon, you know.
“Trump went on to say he and Netanyahu get along very well.
“According to the Axios report, which cited an unidentified U.S. official, Trump said to Netanyahu in a call on Monday: ‘You’re ******* crazy. You’d be in prison if it weren’t for me. I’m saving your ***. Everybody hates you now. Everybody hates Israel because of this.’
“Trump said in the interview: ‘At some point, I said, Bibi, we got to stop this. We got to stop it.’”
Outrageous.
Notice the anti-Semitic tropes Trump uses. Israel is fighting with Lebanon. Everybody hates Israel because of Netanyahu.
Pathetic and unacceptable.
Does Trump talk this way to Erdogan? Abdullah? Those crumbs are bad dudes. Netanyahu is a proud ally that has in fact saved the West’s ass many times. How do you like that? We have no clue how much Israeli intelligence and the military do for us. Do you think we could have struck Iran like that without Israeli intelligence? Please.
I had hoped this was Fake News, the profanity laced diatribe against Netanyahu—who, by the way, saw actual combat as a young man.
But no, Trump himself confirmed it. The Israelis in the north cannot live normal lives because Hezbollah was not eradicated. Why? Because Trump wouldn’t allow it. Just like he keeps Hamas upright. And Iran’s mullahs.
Foreign policy is not a New York business deal.
We all know who the bad actors are. Turkey is run by demons. The Jordanian guy in his homemade uniform with dozens of fake medals is not a friend.
Israel is steadfast and right now under existential attack. This status quo cannot be maintained. Something has to give.
We now see that our Once-a-Generation President is not quite that. The chance existed to get rid of the devils that rule the Middle East, but of course, biblically, that is not in the offing. Only Messiah can bring that.
The Administration is now playing into the hands of the bad actors. Absolutely snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
What an embarrassment.
Israel will be here much longer than the president administration in Washington.
