Having read the prior two fictional books in C. O. Wyler’s end-times series, I recently finished reading the third: UNTAKEN THREE: 12 Weeks Following the Rapture, which continues to explore the devastating aftermath on earth after our Lord calls us believers up in the Rapture. I must say that I believe readers will be emotionally drawn into and swept along by this swiftly developing story.
In Wyler’s first book covering the twelve hours following the Rapture, the dark, personal grief of protagonist Sarah Colton deals with her loved ones who are missing, including her unborn child she wanted to abort. In the second book, the increasing control of an artificial intelligence implant is experienced and challenged throughout the next twelve days. In the just-released third book that covers twelve weeks, AI surveillance becomes more important than ever after the incredible event.
While I like that each book in the series discusses and applies events of the Rapture from different angles, I’m impressed that the third one also includes advancing technologies and their application in an early-Tribulation environment. And I’m doubly impressed with its nonfiction explanation and concerned matters appended at the end. I very much like how the topics prophesied in God’s Word are placed in the proper junctures of the story. These follow the way things will unfold to a satisfactory extent—and I’ve been studying and working in Bible prophecy for many years.
This third book is so detailed that it really promotes character development beyond what’s done in most such novels I’ve read. It drew me in and even elicited some emotional tugs that I didn’t expect. Believe me, that’s not something usual for this seasoned veteran of prophetic fiction!
I believe these novels can be used as intended—to reach people with the salvation message and inform them that these end-times matters are close at hand.
