It’s a Spiritual Warfare :: By Gene Lawley

The ongoing political is much more clearly showing itself, now, to be the true spiritual warfare between the ideologies of the liberal left and the conservative right; it is really just that… Ephesians 6:10-12 tells us this: “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

As the falling away from the faith, and from lawfulness increases, the raging anger of the devil against the righteousness of God is more clearly visible. God created the physical world and all of the creature life in five days, the account in Genesis 1 tells us, but His greatest creation was on that sixth day when He created man.

The physical body functions of animals and man are generally the same. They all eat physical foods, breath air for oxygen, and “the life of the flesh is in the blood,” as Leviticus 17:11 says. But man is different from animals, and that is what has the evolutionists, the “no God” faction, upset. The animal world is motivated by instinct, but mankind was created in the image of God and is motivated by choice. The fact that man, created in God’s image, makes mankind God’s highest creation. And that is proving to be Satan’s target in the turmoil of the world today. It is his way of slapping God in the face, so to speak.

In the case of Job, for example, Satan told God to let him have Job for a while and God would see how well Job could hold onto his faith in God. Read again the last of that story, and you will see that Satan’s plan did not work there, either.

Remember that he tried and almost succeeded in those days of Noah, but the sovereignty of God is greater than anything Satan can bring up. Then, God destroyed by a flood all flesh and blood except those with Noah and his family in the ark.

Note, also, that passage in Luke 17:26-37 where Jesus says, “As it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the day…of the revealing of the Son of Man.” That full context, also partially noted in Matthew 24:37-39, is key to this discussion of conditions and events in the last days.

The groundswell of clamor for acceptance of the homosexual as normal and honoring to God, or at least acceptable to God, is aimed at the destruction of the human race, no less. God made humans as male and female, and told them to populate the earth, which they did, one after another. The bottom-line is this: No man who thinks he is a woman will ever carry a baby in pregnancy. Nor will any woman, who thinks she is a man, ever father a child. Their equipment, simply put, is not made that way.

So the sexual revolution is pointed to an empty ending; and Satan quite possibly is laughing his head off at the foolishness of mankind, who demands that their civil rights override those who would live by faith in God and in obedience to Him.

The truth is that the LBGTQ faction cannot deny their sense of moral guilt that is built into their consciences, where resides the knowledge of moral right and wrong. Therefore, if social acceptance is created in greater amounts, the age-old excuse “almost everyone is doing it, so it must be okay” eases the moral pressure to repent.

Let’s face it squarely. God does not “create” homosexuals or bisexuals, or mentally deficient children, or deformed children. They are the result of the fall of man, the sin of Adam. All people are born of Adam, and none will get to heaven in that heritage. Thus, Jesus demands of all mankind, “You must be born again” (John 3:3-6).

In another arena of Satan’s attack, but similar, is the now hot issue of abortion. After the Supreme Court decision in 1973 in the Roe v Wade case to legalize abortions, the issue somewhat lay dormant in the face of churches. Currently, as the pro-abortionists push for total recognition of absolutely no inherent rights to life of the baby in the womb, or even the “new-born,” a wakeup call has begun sounding in the consciences of those who hold to the sanctity of life from conception. It is another slap in the face of God that His creation in His own image is considered nothing more than an unwanted tumor in a woman’s womb.

Since 1973 the calculation of abortions in America is considered to be 61 million and counting. Not all of those would have survived to adult age, of course, nor even be productive citizens, but none of that reduces the value of that life in God’s eyes. Psalm 139:13-16 gives us the mind of God on this issue: as the psalmist relates it:

“For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed, and in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me when as yet there were none of them.”

The commandment to that first couple, Adam and Eve, was to reproduce and fill the earth. It is clearly a Satanic effort to kill off the future increase of God’s highest creation. Therefore, God’s judgment is hovering over the actions of those who are puppets of that enemy of God. For many it is impossible for them to turn back, repent and turn from their evil deeds. Their consciences are hardened like steel castings. It may be stainless steel in their minds, but the truth is that a hardened heart cannot respond to the call of God.

Scripture accounts show that the Lord does not go where He is not wanted, where there is no conviction of sinfulness—except for His judgment.

Revelation 3:20 tells us how the Lord approaches the lost sinner: “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him and live with him and he with Me.”
