A Distinct Change Is Taking Place! :: by Don Twobears

I can still remember a time in my youth when the matter of  “right” or “wrong” was a way of life and it never mattered if you were an adult or a child; everyone played the same game, so to speak. I can remember that it was significant to us kids to be our best and we also knew it was impossible to be the best at everything. We understood we could be really good in music, but fail miserably in football, or we could show excellence in world history and fail in mathematics. We dealt with being turned down by the prettiest girl or best-looking guy in school. We had failed relationships as boys and girls─this was just the way life was and it usually made sense.

We also had parents who would take time and explain these things to us, who were always there to give us a heaping teaspoon of reassurance, whenever needed. We had teachers that were concerned about our future, almost as much as our parents. Preachers would stand up in the pulpits of America and would extol the truth of Jesus Christ and HIS Gospel of life to us. It was a time where the entire family would attend church together, where every hand was needed and all were too willing to help others. A time of “please” and “thank you.” Or it could have been us kids saying, “Mr. and Mrs. Such-n-Such” always with respect and conviction. Alas, times have changed and so have the people of the world.

Here is something that I wonder if others have noticed… We have seen the natural disasters in recent times and we see perplexing governments struggle. Ever wonder if these are biblical prophecies taking place? Looking a little deeper, have you noticed a division, taking place in everything? Have you noticed where robberies and thefts take place and where they do not? This awareness of downward change could include almost everything and anything, like where Islam is accepted and where it is not and then to what degree? Closer to home, the churches that teach and preach the Word of God and those that do not, the ones that have huge congregations and those that do not? Ever wonder why there are these divisions and what they mean?

It does not require anyone to be a rocket scientist to figure out something very strange is going on and it’s on a daily basis to boot. We have the “Haves” and the “Have NOT’S,” the 47%’ers, the upper 1%’ers,” the “shrinking middle class.” And we must not forget the “gifted” and the “ordinary!” In almost every single aspect, whatever it may be that you choose, it seems to me─in my minds eye that there is a distinct dividing line being drawn.

Too many are willing to say, “There is no dividing line, no absolutes; the lines in the proverbial sand are merging, as all people should merge together.” And yet, every time I hear that statement, I must see the entire thing from a third person perspective and then move way from the subject matter and see it how an astronaut from space would see the earth. All of a sudden the lines of division are more clear and distinct! It’s almost like the proverbial “gray” areas are no longer visible. Is this not strange to you??

“And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty” (2 Corinthians 6:16-18, emphasis added).

Just wondering here, but do you see a “date” for this to be seen as to when we should be separate? No?? Neither do I. That being the case, we could or should be “separate” at any time, even today for that matter. So why would God say something like that if HE didn’t mean it?! If this is indeed from the Word of God, from God’s mouth to our ears, then would the separation taking place everywhere today have some sort of distinction to you and me?? Would that make things easier for us to see, as far as the path we all are walking in this life?

“And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said unto them, see ye not all these things? Verily I say unto you, there shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows” (Matthew 24:1-8 ).

My friends, from the very beginning everything has been simple. You are either male or female. You are tall or short, fat or thin and yet each and every one of us is unique! It must be stated as well, you are either saved by Jesus Christ or you are not and you are headed for heaven or you are headed for hell! The Gospel of Jesus Christ is SIMPLE! And with everything that is in the Bible, there is a right and a wrong, a good and an evil and the differences are in stark contrast.

Since 1948, when Israel became a recognized nation in this world, these divisions have been changing and moving and now it appears that they are becoming more distinct. As we enter into another presidential election, the lines once again are drawn and clear and as with everything else in our lives, we must make a decision. And once again, we are reminded that we are responsible for each and every decision we make, we must be wise and make an educated choice. That is not the education according to this world, but a decision through education from the Lord God. We must seek HIS will in every single decision. I am going to also add this: To choose without HIS divine will in our hearts is to decide against the Lord God.

When we look to the Lord for HIS guidence we will see the changes, the differences, and we will know they will effect us all in the price of our fuel, our food and utilities and every way possible. In this way, we come to see the basic and probably most defining difference in the world: The saved and the unsaved, the blessed and the unblessed. Indeed God’s Holy Word to you and me is distinct and the prophecy therein─is true!!

We are living in the times where we can see these things taking place on a daily basis and we should be intelligent enough to seek out the answers. The one and only place that gives that information in detail is the Word of God─the Bible. Here’s another definitive choice: Those who will read and accept the Word of God and those that will not! The question then is, “Which are you?”

May the Lord be praised and glorified!!!
