Abdication

“It’s remarkable that much of Christianity does not highlight that there is a physical/literal Second Coming.”

So wrote @Exodus15_11 on X this week.

This week I want to have more of a theological discussion, rather than what is going on geopolitically with Israel. Because it is always important, I think, to assess where the Church is regarding Israel. As regular readers of this column know, I am not so sure that pro Israel sentiment is all that high in the American Church. Two things are clear to me: many churches are still faithful to Scripture, and they have the blessing of a faithful pastor that teaches the scriptures. But also, large swaths of the Church are committed to pragmatism, Church Growth technique, and the inevitable minimizing of the Bible.

In too many cases, the Church has abdicated its role in teaching the whole counsel of God. We know that about 35 percent of the Bible is prophecy, yet prophecy is ignored by a ton of churches. The Second Coming is not a popular topic. My theories about that are that the Kingdom Now people like Rick Warren rightly see that God’s sovereignty in history is an obstacle to man’s best-laid plans. If Jesus return to rescue the planet is imperative, how does He also wait for the Church to be at its best, so that it can be “handed-off” to Jesus?

An added problem is a topic I return to again and again: too much of the Church simply does not like Jews. I base this on my research, and 25 years of conversations with leaders and laity that betray their dislike of Jews. They by extension resent a strong Israel. In the world of pretereists and amillennialists, modern Israel is an unfortunate coincidence.

It is the question of what one thinks of Jews and a restored Israel that is the key. It causes people to interpret Scripture in a skewed way. If you are taught that Jews are shifty and greedy and control the money in the world and foment wars, you are not going to like the good things promised to them in Scripture. What one thinks of Jews influences how we see the Bible.

As much as I like some things the scholar Oswald Allis wrote (though he was a fierce opponent of Dispensationalism), I see in his discussions of the Jews a bias that comes from human perception.

In his 1945 book, Prophecy and the Church, Allis is almost obsessive in minimizing the amazing last days’ role of Israel and the Jewish people. He tries repeatedly to make the point that Paul did not linger much on the issue of the Jews’ return to the land in the last days. Actually, this is known as the argument from silence. If Paul was mostly concerned with the spiritual rebirth of the Jews, he likely would not have spent considerable time on the return to the land…but his brethren like Ezekiel, Zechariah, Jeremiah, et al, were very much concerned with it and God was quite clear that it was going to happen.

But Allis continued in his personal need to minimize the Return (one of the very greatest prophecies to be fulfilled, as promised in antiquity). In the appendix to his book, Allis wrote:

“Paul’s great concern for Israel was not earthly, but heavenly. Whether Israel was to be restored to the land did not apparently interest or concern him. His great concern was that Israel might be saved. Is it not there that we should leave this question of the earthly promises? The hope of Israel is to be found in the acceptance of that Gospel which Paul preached first to the Jew and then to the Gentile, and in inclusion in that Church in which this ancient distinction is unknown and forever done away. Whether, consistently with this all-important teaching, we may expect a literal restoration of the Jewish nation to Palestine, is a question of minor importance, if indeed it can be regarded as important at all.”

It is supremely ironic that Allis wrote this two years before the United Nations voted to partition Palestine, thus giving the Jews there a toehold in establishing a state, which of course we know happened in 1948. I would love to know what Oswald Allis thought about the re-establishment of Israel, just months after he expended considerable effort to convince us that the Return is no big deal.

Allis had a Jew problem.

That dislike of the People has promised to preserve and love continues to this day, unfortunately.

Mega media star Tucker Carlson, whose popularity exploded after his departure from FOX and the establishment of his own online show, has a problem with Jews and Israel. I have been dismayed to see just how much this is the case.

Carlson, with the reputation as a conservative commentator, is a member of the Episcopal Church, I do believe. Last year, after a great start to his new endeavor, Carlson took a sharp turn backward as he began interviewing anti-Semites. He’s too smart for this to be a mistake.

CAMERA exposed this recently:

“Under the guise of advocating for Palestinian Christians, Tucker Carlson launched a two-pronged assault on Israel and American political and Christian support for the Jewish State. To provide legitimacy for his campaign, he enlisted the help of Rev. Dr. Munther Isaac, pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Christmas Church in Bethlehem and notorious propagandist for the Palestinian anti-Israel narrative. Carlson’s interview with Isaac aired on April 9, 2024, on “Tucker Carlson on X,” receiving tens of thousands of likes and shares.”

“Munther Isaac has a long history of promoting falsehoods about Israel and the Arab-Israeli conflict in his roles as pastor, academic dean of Bethlehem Bible College (a self-identified Evangelical university that promotes a Palestinian Christian theology), and director of Christ at the Checkpoint conferences (the infamous venue where anti-Israel libels are proclaimed in the name of Christian love, justice and peace).

“For many years, CAMERA has exposed the deceptiveness in Isaac’s teaching, as well as the fallacious theological and historical foundation of the narrative promoted by Bethlehem Bible College and Christ at the Checkpoint. Examples of that documentation can be seen herehere, and here. In light of the blatantly anti-Jewish activism of Isaac and these institutions, it is appalling that Carlson would provide a platform for such thinly-veiled hatred.”

Carlson has hosted others that have problems with a “Jew-centric” view of Scripture. His interview with music star John Rich was really disturbing as they sought to bear false witness against Dispensationalists and the Scofield Reference Bible. This is stunning in light of the fact that the Bible was recorded by Jews, in Jewish culture, and the whole thing is about a Jewish Messiah. Jewish names are on the gates and foundation of the New Jerusalem.

This the world hates. The Church has abandoned its mandate to teach the whole counsel of God. I recently did a podcast with Chris Quintana of Old Path Ministries, one of my favorite teachers. One of the comments went like this:

“My husband taught small group in our last church and we met an entire group of people that have been in churches for years and, I kid you not, they had NO idea who Israel and the Jews even were. It was crazy. They said all they needed was a relationship with Jesus.”

Who do they think Jesus is?

This kind of anecdote is stunning, given the fact that we have had hundreds of years in this country to teach the Bible in free churches. I believe of course that the tactic of minimizing the Jews and Israel is satanic.

It infects otherwise smart scholars, smart political commentators, and ordained ministers.

In all this, we are seeing fulfillment of prophecy. Let us rejoice in this, even though it is painful to realize where much of the Church is. This must be how Charles Spurgeon felt in the late 19th century.

Let us not, as individuals, drop the ball in what God has given us to teach!

Beast Tech Rising: Conditioned for Control :: By Joe Hawkins

“He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads” (Revelation 13:16). These words written 2,000 years ago depict a future global system that controls who can buy or sell (Revelation 13:17). I’m coming at this from a Pre-Trib Rapture view and hold to the view that believers will be raptured before this Beast system fully manifests, yet we already see its technological groundwork emerging.

In this article, we explore how astonishingly close modern technology is to enabling the kind of total surveillance and control described in Revelation 13, why these advancements are accelerating, and what prophetic significance they carry. The goal is not to set dates or induce fear but to analyze the signs with a sense of urgency and ask whether the focus should shift from the tech itself to the mindset that would embrace it.

The tech is here, and it’s not going anywhere, but are people’s minds ready? Are they being preconditioned or coerced into accepting such a system? Much like the frog slowly boiling to death in a pot of water, is society’s mind being slowly conditioned to accept this future Beast System?

A Prophecy 2,000 Years in the Making – Why Our Generation Is Unique

For nearly nineteen centuries after the book of Revelation was written, its vision of a global regime seemed incomprehensible. How could “authority…over every tribe, tongue, and nation” be given to one leader (Revelation 13:7) in an age of quills and scrolls? And how could a mark control all commerce when most trade was done with coins and bartering?

Moreover, a key prerequisite for end-times prophecy was missing: the nation of Israel. From the Roman destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. until 1948, no generation witnessed Israel reborn as a nation. Yet Bible students knew it had to happen, as Scripture foretold Israel’s dispersion and regathering. The re-establishment of Israel in 1948 was a prophetic milestone no previous generation had seen, and it signaled that the clock for the “last days” was ticking again (Matthew 24:32-34, Isaiah 66:8).

At the same time, the past century unleashed a surge in knowledge and technology that is utterly unprecedented. The angel told Daniel that in the time of the end, “many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase” (Daniel 12:4). I believe that is more in relation to going back and forth to Scripture; however, there is application here. Today, exponential increases in knowledge are the new normal. What took centuries of progress now happens in years, months, days, and even hours! From the invention of computers to the internet to artificial intelligence, technological advancement is accelerating at breakneck speed.

This explosion of knowledge is not random; prophecy watchers see it as providential. It’s as if the stage is being rapidly set for fulfillment of what Revelation describes. No previous generation had the capability to literally track every person’s buying and selling, or to monitor behavior worldwide in real time. Ours does. As Jesus said of end-time signs, “When you see these things, know that it is near—at the doors!” (Mark 13:29).

Global Surveillance: The Rise of All-Seeing Eyes

Revelation 13 envisions a world where no one escapes the Beast’s reach (Revelation 13:7). How close are we to a system capable of tracking every human? Consider the dramatic growth of surveillance technology. By the end of 2021, over one billion surveillance cameras were installed worldwide, roughly one camera for every eight people on earth. Many of these are tied into AI-powered systems that can recognize faces, track movements, and compile digital dossiers.

In China, for example, the government’s massive “Skynet” camera network (estimated 600 million+ cameras) and social credit system foreshadow how a centralized authority could monitor compliance or dissent. Western nations, too, have rapidly expanded CCTV networks in the name of security. Today’s advanced facial recognition can identify individuals in a crowd within seconds, and AI analytics can flag “unusual” behavior automatically.

AI surveillance systems are increasingly ubiquitous. Modern cities are blanketed with cameras on streets, buildings, and even in smart home devices. Powerful algorithms can sift through feeds from thousands of cameras simultaneously, meaning an AI “watcher” could theoretically keep tabs on an entire population’s whereabouts. The mass data collection by Big Tech companies and governments adds another layer. Our smartphones, searches, social media, and purchases are constantly harvested for data. It’s often said that agencies today know more about us than we know about ourselves.

As Yuval Noah Harari has observed, past tyrants like the Gestapo or KGB could not surveil everyone effectively—but soon, “corporations and governments will be able to systematically hack all the people. We humans should get used to the idea that we are no longer mysterious souls – we are now hackable animals.” Harari warns that the combination of biometric sensors and AI could create a “digital dictatorship” of total monitoring.

Imagine a regime knowing not only where you are and what you do but even how you feel about the supreme leader. Harari paints a chilling scenario: a future North Korean citizen forced to wear a biometric bracelet 24/7 – “You listen to a speech… and they know what you actually feel… if you’re angry, they know, you’ll be in the gulag tomorrow.” This kind of intrusive surveillance was pure science fiction a few decades ago; now, it’s on our doorstep.

Importantly, such technology aligns uncomfortably well with the Beast system’s goals. Revelation 13:15 says the False Prophet will cause those who refuse to worship the Beast’s image to be killed. A feat that implies identifying and locating dissenters. Under pervasive surveillance, identifying non-compliant individuals (e.g. those who won’t take the mark or worship the Beast) becomes feasible on a global scale.

We already saw a preview in how some governments tracked people during COVID-19 lockdowns via cellphone location data or enforced quarantine with electronic monitoring. The infrastructure for global tracking of every human is being erected now under various guises—public safety, health, anti-terrorism, etc. Each rationale edges us closer to an “omnipresent” monitoring network. The Beast system will simply inherit and weaponize it fully.

Cashless Society and Digital IDs: Precursor to the Mark

John’s prophecy could not be fulfilled in a world of strictly physical cash and local marketplaces. But in our digital economy, the pieces fit. Revelation 13:17 says, “No one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast.” To control all buying and selling, currency itself likely becomes centralized and digital. We see a strong push toward cashless transactions, credit cards, online payments, and now Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) on the horizon. Digital ID programs are being rolled out worldwide, aiming to give every person a verifiable e-identity linked to their finances, medical records, and more.

The United Nations and World Economic Forum have championed the idea of universal digital identification (such as the ID2020 initiative) as a way to include everyone in the financial system. But prophecy students note: what is sold as inclusion and convenience could easily become a tool for exclusion and coercion. Once your money is just bytes in a cloud ledger, access can be turned off with a keystroke. A digital ID tied to a central system could be required to log onto the internet, travel, or make transactions. Exactly the kind of control the Beast will need to enforce the mark.

It is sobering to see how quickly people embrace the technology that could enable the mark. In some countries, governments are testing biometric ID payment systems (scanning your hand, face, or eyes to pay). Companies have begun implanting microchips in employees for building access and cashless cafeteria purchases. One U.S. tech company’s CEO even boasted about hosting a “chip party” where employees voluntarily injected an RFID chip the size of a grain of rice into their hand. He envisions that “eventually, this technology will become standardized, allowing you to use this as your passport, public transit, all purchasing opportunities, etc.”

In other words, one small implant could replace your wallet, keys, ID cards – EVERYTHING. It doesn’t take much imagination to see how such implants (or a future iteration of them) could fulfill the role of the mark of the Beast in controlling commerce. The technology itself isn’t the mark, of course, but it demonstrates the “architecture” of control is here.

Even Klaus Schwab, founder of the World Economic Forum, spoke in a 2016 interview about this coming transformation. He noted that first we put tech on our wearables, “then we could imagine implants in our brains or on our skin,” and that by 2026, people will communicate directly with the digital world via these implants. His vision is essentially a merge of our physical, digital, and biological identities. A chilling echo of Revelation’s prediction of a mark in the right hand or forehead.

Beyond implants, governments are also proposing digital health passports and national ID apps. In India, over a billion people are enrolled in “Aadhaar,” a biometric ID program using fingerprints and iris scans for authentication in banking and public services. The European Union is planning a digital identity wallet for all citizens. These systems promise greater efficiency, but they also create the framework where one central decision can lock a person out of society.

In the Tribulation, refusing the Beast’s mark will carry exactly that penalty: exclusion from the economy under pain of death. We can already see how a future Antichrist could co-opt existing digital ID networks to enforce allegiance. All that’s missing is the trigger event and the charismatic leader to implement it.

Global Connectivity: Satellites and the Internet Everywhere

Another factor enabling Beast-like control is instant global connectivity. The False Prophet will “cause” the earth’s inhabitants to worship the Beast’s image and take the mark—implying rapid mass communication and coordination (Revelation 13:14-16). How could one regime issue orders to billions worldwide in real-time? Enter our era’s satellite networks and high-speed internet.

Projects like SpaceX’s Starlink are launching thousands of low-earth orbit satellites to blanket the globe in internet coverage. Currently (as of Feb 27, 2025), over 7,000 Starlink satellites are in orbit, with plans for over 40,000 to come! The goal is no corner of the planet left offline. This has positive aims (bringing internet to remote regions), but in a prophetic context, it also ensures no one can hide. A future global authority won’t have to worry about remote villages being out of reach; satellite internet and cell networks see to that.

Likewise, the ubiquity of smartphones means nearly every adult on earth can receive an alert or message instantly. In the past, a dictatorial decree took days or weeks to disseminate through newspapers and radio. Now, a push notification or emergency text can flash on everyone’s screen in seconds. We saw a hint of this power with the coordinated messages and lockdown orders during the plandemic. In the Tribulation, when the False Prophet enforces worship of the Beast’s image, he could leverage the global network to broadcast the command and monitor compliance.

Even the image of the Beast that speaks (Revelation 13:15) becomes conceivable with modern tech. Think of an AI-powered hologram or broadcast of the Beast’s image that people are required to honor, under surveillance of “smart” devices in their homes. Science fiction? Perhaps, but only a few years ago, so was the idea of carrying a device in your pocket that tracks your location, listens to your voice, and can scan your face. Today, that device is your smartphone. Of course, I’m not saying thus sayeth the Lord that this is how it will be, but let’s use our critical thinking skills.

Consider also the rollout of 5G/6G networks and Internet of Things (IoT). In the near future, billions more devices (cars, appliances, wearables) will be connected and reporting data. This creates an ever-tightening web of connectivity around individuals. Under a benevolent government, such connectivity offers convenience; under an authoritarian regime, it becomes a tool for a techno-police state. The Beast system will have at its disposal an always-on, always-connected information grid spanning the whole planet. A grid largely built in our time under the banners of progress and innovation.

“Hackable Animals” and Going “Under the Skin”

Perhaps the most startling aspect of today’s technology trends is how openly influential thinkers talk about using them to transform humanity. Take Yuval Noah Harari, a lead advisor to global forums, who bluntly calls humans “hackable animals” in the age of digital surveillance. He argues that with enough data and biometric information, authorities can understand people better than they understand themselves and thus manipulate or control them.

In his warning to world leaders at Davos, Harari said that if a 21st-century tyrant manages to get biometric sensors “under the skin” of millions, the result would be “the worst totalitarian regime in human history,” one that even Stalin could only dream of. That phrase “under the skin” is striking. It echoes the kind of invasive control Revelation implies with a mark in the hand or forehead. Harari’s point was cautionary, but others speak of these same capabilities as positive innovations.

Klaus Schwab of the World Economic Forum often discusses the “Fourth Industrial Revolution.” A fusion of technological breakthroughs that blur the lines between the physical, digital, and biological realms. Schwab noted that this revolution will lead to microchips that can be implanted in the body and even the brain. In one interview, he described a timeline: At first, we will implant them in our clothes… then we could imagine implanting them in our brains or on our skin… in the end, maybe, there will be direct communication between our brain and the digital world.” This isn’t a conspiracy theory; it’s a stated vision from the architect of Davos.

When powerful leaders talk of internalizing technology into the human body (“under the skin”), prophecy watchers can’t help but recall the language of the mark. Schwab’s top advisor (Harari) adds that this kind of intimate surveillance tech can “go under the skin, collect biometric data, analyze it, and understand people better than they understand themselves.” The convergence of these ideas (microchips, biometric surveillance, AI analysis of behavior) reads like a prelude to the Beast system.

It’s crucial to emphasize that neither Schwab nor Harari are the Beast or False Prophet (certainly good candidates, though). But their agendas and quotes show the mindset of technocratic elites: a belief that technology should reshape society and even humanity itself. They often argue this is for the good (health, efficiency, equality), but Scripture warns that human pride and power often pave the road to oppressive ends (see Proverbs 16:18).

In any case, the fact that world leaders are openly pursuing the ability to monitor, chip, and data-mine humans should set prophetic alarm bells ringing. The Beast system described in Revelation will have exactly those powers. It will “monitor everyone all the time,” to quote Harari’s description of a digital dictatorship. The groundwork is being laid in plain sight.

15-Minute Cities and Climate Compliance: Control in the Name of “Good”

Not all precursors to the Beast system come draped in scary or overtly tyrannical packaging. Some are presented in a way that the public would perceive as “utopian.” Now, you and I know better. We can see right through the smokescreen and know it’s more “dystopian.” Take the rise of the “15-minute city” concept. Urban planners promote it as a way to design cities so that all necessities (work, school, shopping, healthcare) are within a 15-minute walk or bike ride.

Many worry it could devolve into districts people are not allowed to leave freely, under the guise of climate lockdowns or rationing fossil fuels. We’ve already heard trial balloons about limiting driving into certain zones and monitoring personal carbon footprints. It’s not hard to imagine a near future where, for “environmental reasons,” governments use smart city tech to restrict travel. Say you’ve exceeded your 15-minute zone trips this month, so your digital pass won’t unlock the train station gate.

The eco-justified control systems emerging (from energy usage tracking to smart thermostats that can be controlled remotely) carry a whiff of Revelation’s warning. People might accept severe restrictions if told it’s to save the planet. In the Great Tribulation, the Antichrist will certainly exploit crises (environmental, economic, etc.) to justify draconian control.

The COVID-19 plandemic gave us a real-life case study in how quickly populations can surrender freedoms in the name of safety. Virtually overnight in 2020, billions complied with stay-at-home orders, travel bans, business shutdowns, and later vaccine mandates and digital health passes. To be clear, many of these measures had public health motivations. But prophecy students noted how it revealed a precedent: in a fearful global crisis, most people will submit to sweeping controls (even censorship of dissenting voices) and even shaming or coercing those who don’t comply “for the public good.” We saw societies willingly adopt smartphone contact tracing apps, stand in biometric queues to prove their health status, and accept a new normal where government could dictate occupancy of your home for holidays.

Now imagine a crisis post-Rapture: tens of millions vanish, chaos ensues. The world will be desperate for order and safety. Enter a charismatic leader with an explanation and a plan. It’s easy to see how, in that panicked atmosphere, the masses would embrace extraordinary controls, temporary, of course, until the emergency is past (but the measures never truly go away). The psychology of compliance learned in 2020–2021 may well be a dress rehearsal for the ultimate compliance test in the Tribulation: take the mark and swear allegiance to the new order, or be cast out as a threat to peace and security.

Quantum Leaps: Technology Racing Toward a Control Threshold

Why is technology accelerating so fast right now? Many experts speak of a coming “technological singularity,” a point where AI and computing power advance beyond human control. It’s as if an unseen hand is removing restraints (2 Thessalonians 2:7) so that all the tools needed for Revelation’s scenario will be ready on time. We are the first generation with not only widespread digital systems but now AI that can analyze and make decisions at superhuman speed, and emerging quantum computing that could dwarf the power of all today’s computers combined. Just this year, researchers made breakthroughs with Majorana fermions—exotic particles that are enabling more stable quantum bits (qubits).

Microsoft introduced a prototype quantum chip (Majorana 1) using a “topological” design that they expect can scale to a million qubits on a chip. To put that in perspective: a conventional supercomputer might use a few hundred bits in an encryption algorithm, but a quantum computer with a million qubits could theoretically break nearly any encryption in seconds. That means no data would be secure from a regime with such technology. Financial records, personal communications, even cryptocurrency blockchains could be cracked open. The Beast’s control system would have no trouble accessing every database or communications channel if it harnesses this kind of computing power.

Quantum computing also promises AI advancements (since AI can run vastly faster with more computing muscle). Pair that with ubiquitous 5G/6G internet, and you have the means to process and respond to every human action in real-time. It’s as if the world is rapidly constructing the central nervous system of a global Beast. Even things like Majorana fermion discoveries have prophetic intrigue – Majorana particles are their own antiparticle, a curious parallel to how the Antichrist will be an imitation “Messiah” opposite to Christ. Whether or not that connection is meaningful, the takeaway is that science is unlocking almost god-like capabilities (though often without considering moral implications).

The acceleration we see all hints that we’re nearing what Jesus called the “days of Noah” (Matthew 24:37), a time of unprecedented evil and intervention. In Noah’s day, humanity was on the verge of irreversible corruption, and God stepped in. Today, we race toward a moment when human and machine might merge, when privacy is gone, and when global governance has the tech to become all-powerful. It suggests we are on the threshold of the Tribulation hour.

From Technology to Mindset: Are We Ready to Accept the Beast?

Given all these developments, one must ask: what’s still holding back the full implementation of the Beast system? The technology is essentially here or imminent. The geopolitical pieces (a revived Israeli nation, talk of global governance, etc.) are in place. The missing ingredient may simply be timing and mindset. 2 Thessalonians 2:6-7 speaks of a Restrainer holding back the “mystery of lawlessness” until He is taken out of the way. I believe this Restrainer to be the Holy Spirit-Indwelt Church. The Holy Spirit does not leave. He remains. He has been here since creation when He hovered above the waters (Genesis 1:1).

Once the Church is removed at the Rapture, all bets are off. Lawlessness will surge, and the Antichrist will be revealed (2 Thessalonians 2:8). At that point, there will also be a strong delusion sent on those who refused the truth, so they will believe the lies of the Antichrist (2 Thessalonians 2:11-12). In other words, the mindset of the remaining world will be primed to accept Beast system control.

Even before that moment, we can see the conditioning at work. Society is increasingly trading freedom for promises of security, convenience, and even virtue (as in “good citizens do X, only troublemakers refuse”). The cultural mindset is shifting toward one that might openly welcome a messiah-like figure—someone who says, “I’ll solve climate change, pandemics, and war if you’ll just follow me and take this mark of loyalty.”

The book of Revelation says the whole world will marvel and follow the Beast (Revelation 13:3). That doesn’t happen by coercion alone. There will be a willing, even fervent, buy-in by the masses. We see seeds of that fervor in the almost religious nature of some political and environmental movements today. Humanity is yearning for unity and safety amid chaos. The Antichrist will offer exactly that, and with Satan’s backing, he’ll have an allure that people cannot resist (apart from God’s grace).

So perhaps the question now is not what new tech is around the corner but what events or narratives will flip the switch to implement what’s already here. Are we on the verge of a major psychological inflection point? Some speculate another global crisis (bigger than anything before) could be used to justify instituting the full Beast infrastructure practically overnight.

Others point to the Rapture itself: when millions vanish, the world will be shocked and terrified, creating the perfect environment for the “man of sin” to rise with persuasive answers. If tomorrow a world leader announced a secure global ID to restore order and “ensure this never happens again,” many would applaud and line up to receive it—especially if rejecting it meant social shame or exclusion from the rebuilt “peace.”

In conclusion, the pace at which Revelation 13’s scenario is becoming technologically possible is startling. Jesus told us to “watch” for the signs of His return (Mark 13:37) and to understand the season (Matthew 16:2-3). We are watching prophecy convergence like never before: Israel restored, worldwide instant communication, and tools for global economic control in play.

This analysis isn’t wild speculation; it’s reading headlines and hearing quotes straight from the shapers of our future. It carries an urgent question: if the technology is essentially ready, is humanity now being prepped in heart and mind to embrace the Beast system? And by extension, how close must we be to the Lord’s shout to call His Church home before that wicked one is revealed (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, 2 Thessalonians 2:8)?

As believers, this is both a warning and an encouragement. A warning that the world is hurtling toward the very scenario the Bible predicted, meaning those left behind will face exactly what God prophesied. But an encouragement that God’s Word is true and His plan of redemption is right on schedule. We don’t know the day or hour, but we can see the Tribulation shadows lengthening.

Now is the season to share the Gospel, to implore friends and loved ones to understand what’s coming. The stage lights are dimming, and the curtain is about to rise on the final act of this age. The technology for the Beast system is here; the only question is, will the world now embrace the mindset to fully accept it?
