Desperate and Searching :: By Daymond Duck

On May 15, 2025, Harbingers Daily posted an article by Dean Dwyer, long-time Pastor and President of Eiser Street Baptist Church in Queensland, Australia.

Here is part of what Dwyer wrote:

>It seems that nearly everywhere you turn, people are talking about peace.

>On every continent and in nearly every country, leaders are holding out hope that somebody will be able to advance the cause of peace throughout the world.  Many are desperate for a resolution to the problems plaguing the world, and we know that desperate and spiritually blind people often lack sufficient discernment to make good decisions.  There is already a Prince of Peace, but since most of the world has rejected Him, a counterfeit will soon arrive.  The world’s longing for peace and safety will play into the hands of the Antichrist, who will convince the world that only he can provide the lasting peace and security that has long been desired.

>Peace is on the lips of many at present, and what is interesting to note is that the UN has scheduled a high-level conference on the Two-State solution to take place from June 2-4, 2025, in New York.  So that nobody is left with any doubts as to the intention of the summit, it is being referred to as the “Peaceful settlement of the question of Palestine and implementation of the Two-State solution.” As this date approaches, expect to hear more and more about “peace.” Whether or not anything tangible will come out of the summit remains to be seen.  But it reminds us that as the world desperately searches for peace, it will soon welcome a person who will ultimately bring it anything but.

Dwyer definitely has a good knowledge of the Scriptures and an understanding of the current political situation.

In the days of the prophet Joel, God warned that He would deal with the nations because they had scattered His people and divided His land (Joel 3:2).

And in the days of the prophet Daniel, God warned that a coming leader (the Antichrist) would confirm (strengthen) a worthless covenant with many for peace in the Middle East (Dan. 9:27).

Starting on May 13, 2025, Pres. Trump:

  • Visited the Middle East and discussed peace (normalization agreements) between several Arab nations and Israel.
  • Met with the new president of Syria and discussed peace with Israel.
  • Met with an official of Iran and discussed an agreement to peacefully settle the controversy over Iran’s quest for nuclear weapons.

Pres. Trump has been clear that he prefers to be a Pres. of peace instead of a Pres. of war.

When asked about the signs of His Second Coming, Jesus said there will be wars and rumors of wars.

There are so many wars and rumors of wars today, the world seems to be desperately searching for peace.

Here are some articles that seem to indicate that the end of the age is near.

One, concerning peace and Iran: on May 15, 2025, U.S. Sec. of State Marco Rubio said:

>Our problem is not with the Iranian people. The Iranian people are a peaceful people, an ancient civilization and culture we admire greatly.

>Our problem is with a clerical regime that is behind every problem in the region: Hezbollah, Hamas, the Houthis, the militias that have conducted attacks out of Iraq and Syria.”

>All of those terror groups track back to the Iranian regime.

>All the instability in Syria tracks back to the Iranian regime.

>It’s a regime that every day and every Friday chants, ‘death to Israel, death to America.’

>We have to believe them when they say that.

>The Iranian regime must never get nuclear weapons.

>The end decision lies in the hands of one person, and that’s the supreme leader in Iran, and I hope he chooses the path of peace and prosperity, not a destructive path.

>We’ll see how that plays out.

Two, concerning peace and Iran: on May 18, 2025:

Trump’s Special Envoy Steve Witkoff said

  • We have one very, very clear red line, and that is enrichment. We cannot allow even 1% of an enrichment capability. Everything begins… with a deal that does not include enrichment… because enrichment enables weaponization. And we will not allow a bomb to get here.
  • Iran’s foreign minister responded on X: Enrichment in Iran… will continue with or without a deal. If the US is interested in ensuring that Iran will not have nuclear weapons, a deal is within reach.

Three, concerning peace and Hamas: on May 15, 2025, Pres. Trump said Hamas is going to have to be dealt with (in order to bring peace in Gaza).

Here are some daily updates on the war.

  • On May 16, 2025, Israel escalated its airstrikes in the Gaza Strip by attacking more than 150 targets in 24 hours. Netanyahu’s promised ground invasion appeared to be imminent. The U.S. and Qatar were searching for a way to bring about a ceasefire.
  • During the late hours of May 16, 2025, Israel said it is working to seize strategic areas of the Gaza Strip in preparation for expanding its military campaign there.
  • On May 17, 2025, Hamas said it would return to ceasefire negotiations.
  • On May 18, 2025, Israeli Prime Min. Netanyahu confirmed that ceasefire negotiations are underway, and he repeated that Israel is open to ending the fighting if Hamas is disarmed and all the remaining hostages are released.
  • On May 19, 2025, it was reported that Israel had struck more than 160 targets in the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours.

(Update: On May 19, 2025, Israel ordered the total evacuation of Khan Younis, a major city in Gaza.)

Four, concerning the Houthis in Yemen: on May 16, 2025, 15 Israeli jets dropped 35 bombs on two Houthi ports, so the Houthis now have no place for large ships to dock.

Five, concerning the Two-State Solution: on May 16, 2025, a reader sent the following to me and said it was from Bubba News Telegram:

  • The June 2-4, 2025, UN meeting on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is no longer scheduled.
  • It has been rescheduled/replaced by the France and Saudi Arabia-backed conference on a 2-state solution, now set for June 17-20, 2025, at UN headquarters in NYC.
  • No evidence currently suggests that a separate meeting is still planned for June 2-4.
  • The “High-level International Conference for the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution” is the primary event, co-chaired by France and Saudi Arabia, aimed at advancing UN resolutions on the two-state solution.
  • It was mandated by a September 2024 General Assembly resolution and is now scheduled for June 17-20, 2025.

(Update: On May 19, 2025, it was reported that Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu called it “a huge prize for terror.”)

(My opinion: The desperate search of unbelieving world leaders for peace and safety is on the verge of a giant step toward the Tribulation Period.)

Five, concerning the Two-State Solution (the division of Israel) and God’s threat to drag the nations into the Battle of Armageddon for that (Joel 3:2): on May 19, 2025, France, Canada, and the UK released a communique that said in part:

  • The level of human suffering in Gaza is intolerable. We call on the Israeli government to stop its military operations in Gaza and immediately allow humanitarian aid to enter.
  • If Israel does not cease the renewed military offensive and lift its restrictions on humanitarian aid, we will take further concrete actions in response.
  • pointing to an upcoming international conference co-chaired by Saudi Arabia and France, scheduled to take place next month (June 17-20) in New York.
  • We must all work toward the implementation of a two-state solution, which is the only way to bring long-lasting peace and security that both Israelis and Palestinians deserve and ensure long-term stability in the region.

(My opinion: The Two-State Solution will not bring peace and security – peace and safety. It will not stabilize the Middle East. As I said above, it will be a major step toward the beginning of the Tribulation Period, and that is where all of this is heading. The core problem is not Israel defending itself against Hamas. It is radical Muslims trying to conquer the world for Allah.)

Six, concerning peace between Russia and Ukraine: on May 19, 2025, Pres. Trump said he had a two-hour conversation with Russian Pres. Putin.

Trump added that Russia and Ukraine will immediately start negotiations toward a ceasefire and, more importantly, an end to the war.

According to Trump, the Vatican is interested in hosting the negotiations.

(My comment: Be aware that God said He would put hooks in Gog’s jaw, turn him back and drag him and his allies – Iran, etc. – onto the mountains of Israel in the latter days and latter years; Ezek. 38:4. We don’t know that this is it, but it bears watching).

Seven, concerning natural disasters increasing in frequency and intensity at the end of the age: on May 17, 2025, it was reported that a massive dust storm struck Chicago’s 2.6 million people that was so big and bad, it could be seen from space.

The National Weather Service issued a dust storm warning for only the second time in history, and a Chicago meteorologist said this was the first dust storm to ever hit Chicago.

Visibility was near zero, wind gusts were up to 60 mph, and after many accidents, people were told not to travel unless it was absolutely necessary.

Eight, concerning the moral decline of America at the end of the age, here is a link to an excellent three-minute video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTB4aTGaG_M&t=15s

Nine, concerning the long-awaited battle of Gog and Magog, on May 21, 2025, Iran’s parliament ratified a new agreement with Russia.

It reportedly stops short of a mutual defense clause, but it commits both nations to respond to common military threats, advance military-technical collaboration, and engage in joint military exercises.

FYI: God does not send anyone to Hell (all of us are born with a sin nature and destined to go to Hell because we sin), but God has provided a way (Jesus) for everyone to go to Heaven (and He is the only way to get there; John 14:6).

Finally, are you Rapture Ready?

If you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this.

Share The Gospel Before It’s Too Late :: By Nathele Graham

Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is” (Jeremiah 17:7).

Why do so many people complicate salvation? Salvation isn’t hard, but too many religious groups misrepresent Scripture and confuse many people.

Things like infant baptism aren’t Scriptural. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:9-10).

I’ve never met an infant who can understand what sin is, believe he is a sinner, repent, and ask for forgiveness. An infant only knows to cry when hungry or when he is in need of a diaper change. The infant can only understand asking to feel better, and not what it means to tell a lie or steal. The choice to believe in Jesus has to be a decision each person makes for themselves; parents cannot make the decision for their child, only guide them. Unfortunately, it’s more important for many parents to be sure their children believe in Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny than to believe in Jesus.

Salvation is only found in Jesus Christ, so no matter where you attend services, if you haven’t personally accepted Jesus Christ and repented of sin, then you need to do that now.

God didn’t complicate salvation but actually simplified it. Scripture makes it clear as to what God considers sin, and the Jewish Law was a bit complicated. God made a covenant with Abraham, which was evidenced by circumcision. Then came the Law given to Moses on Mount Sinai. It took work in order to perfectly keep the law, and nobody was able to keep it perfectly. The sacrifices would cover sin but couldn’t take sin away. Why? The blood was not human blood, and God never requires spilling human blood for a sacrifice. Besides, human blood is tainted by sin, and sin cannot remove sin. Sin could not be removed by the blood of animals, only cover it.

For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins” (Hebrews 10:4).

To take sin away, the sacrifice would have to be a human without sin-tainted blood. That sacrifice was Jesus, who was fully human and fully God. Mary was just a normal human, so Jesus was human because of her. If she were anything other than human, Jesus could not be our Kinsman. On the other hand, God was His Father, which means that Jesus did not inherit the sin-tainted blood that fathers pass on to their sons. Jesus’ blood was pure. Because of that, He qualified as our Redeemer. According to the Law, a kinsman-redeemer had to be willing, and Jesus willingly shed His blood to redeem humanity.

If you reject this free gift, you’ve chosen your eternal fate. If you have made the all-important decision to accept the free gift of salvation offered by Jesus, then you are forever sealed with the Holy Spirit, and your eternity is very bright.

In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory” (Ephesians 1:13-14).

That’s so reassuring.

Jesus is our Good Shepherd, and just like a flock of sheep know the voice of their shepherd, Christians need to know the voice of our Shepherd. We learn to hear His voice and follow Him by studying Scripture.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. I and my Father are one” (John 10:27-30).

Sometimes Christians begin to doubt their own salvation. This verse should put aside all doubts. If you were sincere when you accepted Jesus for salvation, your salvation is secure.

Sin is a part of our human failings, but that isn’t an excuse to keep sinning. We need to confess our sins, not to a priest or any other human, but confess to God.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).

Only Jesus can forgive sin. No amount of saying “Hail Mary” or doing penance will forgive your sin. Only Jesus can and will forgive. Once you ask forgiveness, then it’s time to turn from the sin.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service” (Romans 12:1).

Living sacrifice? That means you need to represent our Lord in a way that pleases Him. He desires more than lip service from us.

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of Good works” (Titus 2:11-14).

That word “peculiar” comes from the Greek word “periousios,” which means a people selected by God for his own possession. It might be easier to understand by reading a modern translation.

Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works” (Titus 2:14 NKJV).

Good works won’t bring salvation, but they should be a result of our faith.

Can your friends see a change in you since you accepted Christ? Other people watch Christians, mostly to mock us when we fail, but if you live your life as a living sacrifice to God, you just might influence someone to accept the Lord before it’s too late. It’s important to study Scripture because there’s a good chance a friend will ask questions about why you don’t join in the party scene like you used to.

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear” (1 Peter 3:15).

You probably have questions of your own that can only be answered through Bible study.

Why do I talk so much about salvation? I feel an urgency to encourage Christians to share the Gospel with others. Time passes quickly, and we will either die like so many before us, or the Rapture will happen.

I’m watching signs of the times and can see prophecy is being fulfilled quickly. If you’re waiting until tomorrow to share the Gospel with a friend, don’t wait; tomorrow may be too late. Even young people die unexpectedly.

Biblical prophecy can be trusted to be true. It may not be crystal clear how it will all play out, but you can be sure that it will all happen just like Scripture says. For instance, prophecy made it clear that Israel would be back in the land that God gave to them. Men who thought they knew more than God came up with the false teaching that the church has replaced Israel. God will never completely turn against Israel, and He promised that they will be back in their land. In 1947, it happened, just as Scripture says.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth” (Isaiah 11:11-12).

There are many other prophecies that are being fulfilled, and it’s very clear that we are living in the very last of days. Pray for Israel. Other prophecies tell us that there is coming a time when Satan will rule and Great Tribulation will grip the entire world, worse than anything the world has seen. Technology is being put in place that will allow the mark of the beast to be a reality. Anyone taking that mark will not be able to be saved from damnation.

The good news is that none of the final judgments will happen until Christians are Raptured. We will be taken to Heaven prior to the onset of the final seven years of life. Demons will be released, and God’s wrath will be poured out on the entire world. Now is the time to talk to your friends and family about Jesus. Now, before it’s too late. Today, the Holy Spirit is living in Christians and restraining the evil. Now is when salvation can be obtained by sincerely asking for it.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?” (Romans 10:13-14).

How indeed? You need to speak up and not be ashamed of your faith in Jesus Christ.

Time is short. Share the Gospel before it’s too late.

God bless you all
