Are We Facing a New Energy Crisis?

Last week, President Biden went to England to recommit America to the Paris Climate Accords agreement. This treaty has goals that cannot be achieved, particularly in the area of energy.

The International Energy Agency is operating under the guidance of the Paris Agreement emission targets. According to the IEA, natural gas demand must peak between 2025 and 2030 and start declining from 2030 onwards if the world is to achieve net-zero emission status by 2050.

The Biden administration pledged that the U.S. will cut its carbon emissions by 50% by 2030. It then announced that it seeks to ensure that half of all new passenger vehicles sold in the United States by 2030 are powered by electricity.

It would take a huge miracle to reach these goals. We simply do not have the basic materials to create this green new world. The supply of copper, cobalt, platinum, and various other vital metals is running out. The head of one of Tesla’s divisions is only hoping for 10 million electric cars by 2030. The Biden administration produced a goal that one would expect from a Soviet central planning board.

It is easy to set targets, but the difficult part is to reach them. All-new rules for energy usage can have dire consequences that either come out of nowhere or result from bad planning. These energy problems are not like a bad haircut that you just let grow out to fix it. We could be facing an energy crisis that requires a decade to fix.

Coal is the dirtiest of all fuels because it creates the most amount of carbon dioxide. The switching of many power plants to natural gas drove down the price of coal and put many coal mines out of business. Now that the pandemic, hurricanes, and other factors are driving the price of natural gas to the moon, there is a huge demand for coal again.

In just this year, U.S. power generation derived from coal increased from 15% to 25%. Power plants are expected to burn 19% more coal this year.

The latest Bloomberg data shows U.S. coal supplies are at two-decade lows ahead of the winter. If we have a very cold winter, we could see things that made the Texas power problems in February look like a minor event.

Peabody Energy Corp., the top American supplier, has contracts for more than 90% of its coal from the Powder River Basin region next year and all of the power-plant fuel from its other U.S. mines. And Arch Resources Inc., the No. 2 producer, has lined up deals with utilities for all of its 2022 output from the basin at an average price that’s 20% higher than current spot prices.

“It’s pretty much sold out,” Peabody Chief Executive Officer Jim Grech said Thursday during a conference call. “We only have a small portion left to be sold for 2022 and 2023.”

China is so short on coal it has had to shut down factories to save power. The power crisis in the world’s top consumer of coal comes as strong demand from manufacturers, industry, and households has pushed prices to record highs and triggered widespread curbs.

China partly got itself in trouble by boycotting Australian coal over some political dispute. An estimated one million tonnes of Australian coal have stayed in bonded warehouses along China’s coast for months, uncleared by customs after Beijing’s ban last October.

Beijing has suddenly decided it loves Australian coal and has released the coal from bonded storage. China has had bad luck with boycotts. It told the Trump Administration that it would not buy any soybeans from America. When the Chinese crop was wiped by floods and South America had no spare soybeans because of drought, the Chinese made record purchases of American soybeans.

Rebounding U.S. oil demand, a slow recovery of domestic production, and extreme weather-related events have drawn many barrels this year out of the key U.S. crude hub at Cushing, Oklahoma. Crude oil stocks at Cushing—the delivery hub for the WTI Crude futures contract—have more than halved since April 2020, when the market was fretting about high inventories as the pandemic forced governments to announce widespread lockdowns. Even with oil at $80 per barrel, Cushing is at a historic low end of its capacity.

Our energy infrastructure is failing with greater frequency because of mismanagement. Politicians are so fixated on green energy that they are leaving people to face power outages, soaring heating bills, and gas stations that are out of fuel.

In so many areas, we have less margin to handle a mishap. If we have an extremely cold winter, there could be places that could run out of a vital form of energy. I think demonic forces are largely to blame for why leaders are making so many bonehead plans. The devil knows that chaos is what allows him to gain greater control of this world.

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” (Ephesians 6:12).

Is “the Jab” Prophetic?

Thanks to an emailer friend recently, this postulation, in the form of a question, emerged to the forefront of my cerebral ruminations. Is the vaccine mandate madness, and particularly the COVID-19 virus which it involves, a part of Bible prophecy?

The many signals of end times prophecy we have witnessed and continue to witness, proliferating in frequency and with intensity, make the postulation/question highly pertinent, I think. Is the Jab, an all-pervasive matter so at the center of all the signs, a prophetic indicator of Christ’s Second Coming?

The emailer said she recently heard preachers/teachers mention Rev 18: 23 … “for by your sorceries were all the nations deceived.” This “vaccination,” she said, “sure has been, and still is, a huge deception.”

It sure has been exactly that…! So we need to examine this prophetic passage.

“And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived” (Rev 18:23).

This prophecy/condemnation given John by the Lord Jesus, Who is the Word, is part of the judgment of the city called “Babylon,” which will take place near the end of the Tribulation. That judgment from Heaven is God’s Holy Wrath poured on this system of evil that has deceived and corrupted all of mankind. This Babylon is the apex –the ultimate manifestation—of the globalists’ attempt to throw off all Governance of the Creator of all that is. It is God bringing to Fulfillment His prophetic utterance found in the Old Testament.

“The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision” (Psalms 2:2-4).

Thus will the final assault on humanity and upon God, like in the days of Nimrod’s Tower of Babel wickedness, be thrown down. At the heart of that wickedness is the evil that God’s Word terms “sorceries.”

This designation, “sorceries,” has very interesting connotations in regard to developments since the so-called pandemic plaguing the world since 2020. We consider the Greek dissection of the term, given in the New Testament. Here is what I found when researching the term briefly.

Sorceries is from the Greek φαρμακεια, or pharmakeia, Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance number 5331, is said to mean “medication, “pharmacy,” magic, literally or figuratively – sorcery, witchcraft.”

So sorceries in Revelation 18:23 can mean both that the merchants as world traders of Babylon drug the nations with their medications, but also in a broader sense, Babylon and her merchants, the giant international corporations, deceive the world by their more figurative “magic” or witchcraft, the allure and bait of these merchants to appeal to the flesh of men.

It seems that at the center of the globalist elite blueprint for the enslavement of mankind to corruptive, destructive activity is this thing called pharmakeia.” It is the root of the word sorceries in this prophecy.

All we have to do to understand what is at the center of the COVID controversy today – whether to Jab or not to Jab— is to remember the chaos surrounding what the press terms “big Pharma.” These pharmaceutical behemoths have produced the serums called vaccines, almost all of which have been untested to the extent that has been required of every other such injectable material throughout modern scientific history.

The “Jab” has set on fire anger and disruptive actions throughout the nation and world. Dictates by politicians who relish the absolute power mentioned by Lord Edward Acton prove his renowned apothegm: “Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.”

The vaccine power grab as it might be legitimately called, seems beyond any doubt – to me, at least, to foreshadow the one who will demand absolute control. He will be of his father, the devil, who is, as scripture tells us, the father of lies. That is, the progenitor of great deception at every level of human interaction.

So I believe we can conclude that – yes – the Jab” is indeed prophetic. It looks to be a major stage-setting utility for producing the platform from which to launch Satan’s son of perdition.

But that earlier Psalms prophecy gives us the final disposition of Antichrist’s short-lived reign.

“Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession” (Psalms 2:5-8).

War Prep

Due to the spiritual sickness the world over, Israel has been at war at least regionally since May 14, 1948. Even before the state was established, the Arab nation was killing Jews just because they were Jews in Palestine.

I learned a great deal many years ago by visiting the Haganah Museum in Tel Aviv; this is dedicated to the very beginnings of what would become the Israel Defense Forces. The murderous Arab assaults on the Jews of Palestine in 1929 and 1937 were brutal reminders that the Jews would have to fight savagely for their own peace in their own country. And they were the lucky ones; Europe’s Jewish population was about to be decimated by the Germans.

Today, nothing has really changed. That’s why it is vital that Israel maintain preparedness. I remember during the Gulf War…Israeli pilots sat in their planes on the tarmac, for hours at a time. This is the kind of edge they need to maintain if they are to fend-off their enemies.

According to the Jerusalem Post:

“Israel’s Home Front Command and National Emergency Authority (RAHEL) is holding a week-long drill that started on Sunday simulating a large-scale war in which civilians are evacuated from northern border communities and security agencies will deal with massive rocket barrages sent by Hezbollah.

“Following the May fighting, the Home Front Command ‘carried out a very significant learning process with a lot of research, and this exercise is going to test what we’ve learned,’ said Home Front Command Chief of Staff Brig.-Gen. Itzik Bar.

And this was a nationwide effort; the police and medical services are also participating.

Understand this: projections are that with a full-scale war in the north, Hezbollah would send 2,000 per day into Israel. We are talking on a scale that requires intervention by the Lord for Israel to survive. He will, of course.

Israeli planners realize that Hezbollah will concentrate fire on specific areas—surgical strikes near border communities. A second wave potentially is the utilization of shock troops pushing through those weak areas.

Hezbollah leader and psychopath Sheik Nasrallah has threated to hit various plants around the country.

I was struck by how much operational detail was included in the JPost report. It seems to me they are tipping their hand to the Arabs, but what do I know?

For decades, those that love Israel have dreaded a truly modern full-scale war against the Jewish state. In fact it’s almost unimaginable. Recent wars have been traumatic enough:

“The Home Front Command was criticized for its response during the 2006 war with Hezbollah, in which more than 160 Israelis were killed. Since then, it has strengthened its units, and its liaison units are active in hundreds of municipalities across the country.”

All this reminds me very much that those of us on the outside looking in can do our part by praying continually for Israel. Prayer for the Jewish nation in the Bible is a dominant theme: Joshua, Moses, David…all served as a leader for their people, first and foremost in the area of praying for God’s divine protection.

My fellow believer: as Israel faces a multitude of threats, including catastrophic outcomes, pray, pray, pray as never before.

It makes a difference!
