“You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book” (Psalm 56:8).
Dear child of God, please take a moment with me and let us reflect upon this scripture that was written by King David so very long ago.
This truth is so very beautiful that it is a little hard to even find the words to express gratitude to our Heavenly Father for Him doing such a thing as this.
I have thought long and deep on the reality of God keeping all of my tears in a bottle and recording each one of them in a book.
I can’t speak for anyone else, but for this heart and these eyes, that would be an enormous volume of tears, and it would take an enormous bottle to fill and a rather large book to record and contain them all.
There is no shame in admitting that I have shed lots and lots of tears. Especially the heavenly kind of tears. Like tears of repentance, tears of empathy, tears of compassion, tears for those who are suffering, and tears for the lost. Tears of gratitude and thankfulness. Tears of awe. Tears of tenderness, mercy, and grace.
All of these tears, and yet our Precious Lord keeps every single one of them in a bottle.
And He does this for everyone.
I cannot speak for anyone else, but my mind is blown in a wonderful way by this amazing revelation.
At 79 years of age, I must admit that more tears have rolled down these cheeks in the last two or three years than all of the tears from infancy and childhood and possibly all of the years between then and now put together. Just wondering, why is that? I think I have a clue!
Losing my wife of fifty-eight years nearly two years ago and all of the grief and tears that followed is one reason. The other main reason is the state of the world here in these last days leading up to the seven-year-long “Great Tribulation,” also known as “the Time of Jacob’s Trouble” and “the 70th Week of Daniel.”
We are, of course, talking about the times that Jesus referred to as being so terrible and dangerous that unless He Himself intervened, no flesh would be saved.
If not for Jesus, humankind would become extinct (Matthew 24:22) (Mark13:20).
What we are witnessing right now, in the summer of 2026, here on this beautiful little planet we call Earth, are the multiple forms of evil that are expanding and growing progressively more evil with each passing day (2 Timothy 3:13).
Watching this happen is tear-inducing for any decent person who has a heart. Especially a heart that has been transformed by Jesus into a justice-loving heart of compassion.
A heart that, like Jesus, who did the transforming, has no desire to see anyone perish. (2 Peter 3:9). Yet a heart that, at the same time, yearns for justice, especially justice for the non-repenting few who cause massive amounts of harm to the many.
How can one not weep at the overwhelming cruelty and violent ugliness that is being inflicted globally on fellow human beings by Satan, through his deluded minions? Minions such as the wicked Globalists and their shadow army of Lucifer worshipers, and the insane godless communist spawns of Stalin, with their hordes of useful idiots who are determined to repeat their horrible histories that have always ended in countless deaths and utter failure.
And the brutal, hate-filled, cruel, and murderous Islamists, who take great delight in ruthlessly raping, torturing, and slaughtering all who are unwilling to submit to the death cult known as Islam.
Let’s not forget about rogue billionaires driven by money and the lust for power such as George Soros and Bill Gates, who seem to delight in using their fortunes to finance chaos, rioting, election rigging and pain, misery and death through poisonous “vaccines,” the unleashing of modified insects, sun blocking, buying up massive amounts of farmland to take out of production while producing fake meat and other fake food that is made out of things Bill Gates would never let pass through his own lips.
Delusion, deception, out-and-out lies, and vicious hatred of truth, especially biblical truth, are coming at us from every direction by demonically possessed humans who truly believe they are better than you, smarter than you, and have the right to rule over you or even kill you.
It is no small wonder why Jesus opened the Matthew 24 discourse to His disciples regarding the last days with “Let no one deceive you.”
Here in the year 2026, it is difficult to believe anything anymore, especially coming from social media and the mainstream news networks. So much of it can be proven false with even minimal research.
Add to that the unrelenting scams, aided now by AI, with some being so sophisticated that you need the most powerful VPNs (virus protection networks) to protect the personal information contained on computers and phones. And now, even many ads for VPNs are themselves scams.
Many of these scams are aimed specifically at the elderly.
Older folks nowadays cannot seem to help spending some time in those Father Knows Best or Leave It to Beaver moments, pining for how it used to be, and how much nicer life was before the reprobate delusional insanity started kicking into high gear.
And many older folks hope for that moment when, in the twinkling of an eye, preceded by the dead in Christ, we will be called home by Jesus (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18).
Home to be with Jesus, where we will no longer have to live in a world where evil is viewed as good and good is viewed as evil (Isaiah 5:20). A world where godless reprobate humans not only willfully embrace complete lunacy, but also violently demand that everyone else should do the same.
Meanwhile, many tears roll down. Tears for the lost, for the persecuted, for the down and out and homeless, for the addicted, and tears especially for the loved ones who have yet to accept the free gift of salvation offered to everyone by way of God’s bountiful mercy.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, so that all who believe in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
There are so many reasons to shed tears, and so very many tears are being shed; yet our Heavenly Father keeps every tear in a bottle and recorded in a book.
It is a pretty safe guess, based on the scriptures defining the nature of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, that God cherishes the tears shed for the sake of others. Tears for the sake of righteousness and justice. Tears of longing for an eternal home free of wickedness and even temptation.
Billions of people with eyes to cry have breathed the breath of life in their years on planet Earth and shed God only knows how many tears along the way in their earthly sojourn. Amazingly, God has a bottle so as to hold the tears of each person and a book to record the reason for each tear.
Jesus said to read the signs of the times regarding the fulfillment of “last days” prophecies, and when those signs began to be fulfilled right before our very eyes, to watch and look up, for our redemption draws near (Luke 21:28).
Many of these last days signs were given by Jesus Himself to be studied alongside the prophecies of Old Testament prophets and of the disciples of Jesus.
As we wait for Revelation 3:10 to become reality, undoubtedly, many more heavenly tears will fall like the rain, and our Heavenly Father has promised to place each precious tear in a bottle for safekeeping.
If you have read this article and do not yet know Jesus, you can know Him this very day and ask Him to come into your life and to become your Lord and Savior.
No man nor woman nor government of any kind can save you in any shape or form, but Jesus can save you for all eternity, and He will if you simply ask Him to do so, and then trust in Him with all of your heart, mind, and soul.
“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved (Romans 10:9-10).
