A few years back, I told the ‘Christmas Story’ simply by using 16 Christmas hymn titles. It was posted on Rapture Ready in 2013. Now I have used 71 traditional hymn and gospel song titles that proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and inform people just how great our Christian God is, in the form of the Holy Trinity. See how many of these traditional old song titles you can find.
How great thou art, O God, our help in ages past; great is thy faithfulness, our dear Lord and Father of mankind. To God be the glory, our God of ages past and the God of our fathers. A mighty fortress is our God, and God will take care of you. The Lord bless you and keep you, and God be with you.
Have thine own way, Lord; precious Lord, take my hand, open my eyes that I may see, and be Thou my vision. Help me take time to be holy, trust and obey you, and count your blessings.
Fairest Lord Jesus, my faith looks up to Thee. What a friend we have in Jesus; joyful, joyful, we adore Thee. Abide with me, oh rock of ages, and the church’s one foundation. How firm a foundation is the solid rock, Jesus Christ. Savior, like a shepherd, lead us, and pass me not, oh gentle Savior. I need Thee every hour, Jesus, lover of my soul.
He leadeth me, and I praise Him, praise Him! Blest be the tie that binds us nearer my God to Thee; what a blessed assurance. ‘Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus, safe in the arms of Jesus, and leaning on the everlasting arms. To have just a closer walk with Thee, to learn more about Jesus. All hail the power of Jesus’ name. Crown Him with many crowns! More love to Thee, O Christ.
When they ring the golden bells, when the saints go marching in, and when the roll is called up yonder, beyond the sunset, in the sweet by and by, we will hear wonderful words of life. The Lord is my shepherd; softly and tenderly, Jesus is calling. Jesus calls us and Jesus loves me, just as I am, what an amazing grace! We are saved by grace, a grace that is greater than all our sin.
And when I survey the wondrous cross, the old rugged cross, it is well with my soul, for there is power in the blood, and I am standing on the promises. He died for me; are you washed in the blood? Jesus died, once for all. Then Christ arose, and He lives! Oh, happy day for believers, when we all get to heaven!
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
