Psalm 100:1-5: “Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into His presence with singing; know that the Lord, He is God! It is He who made us and we are His; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise! Give thanks to Him; bless His name! For the Lord is good; His steadfast love endures forever, and His faithfulness is all generations.” (ESV – all emphasis is mine.)
Hebrews 13:8: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” John 16:33: “I have said these things to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart, I have overcome the world.”
In this world that is constantly changing and leading us toward the end of this age, we have one constant that never changes. Compliments of our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ, there is a definite hope for all who receive Him and accept His pure, sinless blood sacrifice for our sins. There is nothing we can do on our own to secure a place in Heaven forever without Him (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Philippians 2:6-8: “who though He was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, by taking on the form of a servant; being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death; even death on a cross.”
Philippians 2:9-11: “Therefore God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus, every knee should bow in heaven and on the earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.”
Once again, no matter what any false prophet may try to tell you, we can in no way do anything other than to receive and accept Jesus as our Savior and as our only means to have a home forever with Him in Heaven.
Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Peter, Paul, and Jesus Himself all gave signs of what would be taking place as we approach the end of this age. In Luke 21:28, Jesus gave us this encouragement: “Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”
God’s timing and ours are not the same, but if we look at all the signs given in His holy word, we can see a definite move away from anything to do with Jesus.
As Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 1:18, “For the word of the Cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God.” He also tells us in 2 Timothy 4:3-4, “For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having “itching ears” they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.”
Paul also tells us in 2 Timothy 4:8, “Henceforth, there is laid up for me the Crown of Righteousness, which the Lord, the Righteous Judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing.”
This will most likely take place at the Judgment Seat of Christ in 2 Corinthians 5:10. Unlike the White Throne Judgment of Revelation 20:11-15 to determine the degree of punishment in the lake of fire, the Judgment Seat of Christ is to gain or lose rewards for our deeds on earth, but the outcome is still eternity with Him in Heaven.
Knowing the pure joy that waits for us when we leave this earth, we should be filled with happiness and joy and sing praises to the Lord. In 1876, Phillip P. Bliss released a song called “I Will Sing of My Redeemer.” It applies today as much as ever.
1.) I will sing of my Redeemer, and His wondrous love to me. On the cruel cross He suffered, from the curse to set me free.
Ref.) Sing of, Sing of My Redeemer, with His blood He purchased me; on the cross He sealed my pardon, paid the debt and made me free.
2.) I will tell the wondrous story how my lost estate to save; in His boundless love and mercy, He the ransom freely gave. I will praise my dear Redeemer; His triumphant power I’ll tell, how the victory He gives me, over sin and death and hell. (ref)
3.) I will sing of my Redeemer, and His Heavenly love for me. He from death to life has bought me, Son of God with Him to be. (ref)
Nothing that is happening in this world today is a surprise to our Heavenly Father, our Lord and Savior, and the Holy Spirit. The blood shed by our Jesus on that cruel cross at Calvary was for every human soul who will have lived on this earth.
For those prior to Calvary that were in the will of the Father, the blood reached back for them. From Calvary to the end of this earth, it will cover all who will receive and accept Jesus as their Savior, and is the only pathway to God (John 14:6).
There is a stipulation that has always been in place, and will be there to the very end. A person must have received and accepted Jesus as their eternal Savior before taking their last breath on this earth. The best example of this was the thief on the Cross who asked Jesus to remember him, and was told he would be in paradise with the Savior before that day was over (Luke 23: 40-43).
For anyone who has not called out to become a part of the Savior’s precious flock, today would not be too early to do so. We are not guaranteed another day on this earth, and to put off making this important decision could be the biggest mistake anyone could ever make.
Romans 10:9-13 gives the ABCs of Salvation. A – Admit or confess you are a sinner in need of a Savior. B – Believe and have faith that Jesus the Christ (Messiah) is that Savior. C – Call out to Him to forgive you and come into your heart forever.
As humans, we will still slip and sin right up to the moment we leave this earth, and that’s why the Father promises to forgive us when we do so, and ask Him for that forgiveness (1 John 1:8-10).
It’s a free-will choice that the Father will force no one to make, but will accept all who truly call out to be saved. Choose eternal life today. He will take your call 24-7.
Maranatha! Come, Lord Jesus!
