A Child of The King :: By Dennis Huebshman

Today, more than ever before, we need to humble ourselves and put every bit of our faith and trust in our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ. All who will call on Him to forgive them and to save them from the Lake of Fire (Hell) will be saved (Joel 2:32; Acts 2:21 and Romans 10:13). No matter what our earthly age is, we are to be filled with the faith of a child in order to become one of His precious flock. No particular organized religious organization is mentioned, as it’s strictly an individual decision. (all emphasis mine)

Matthew 18:2-6: “And calling to Him a child, He put him in the midst of them and said, ‘Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child, is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. Whoever receives one such child in My name, receives Me; but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck, and be drowned in the depth of the sea.'” (note: this applies to all females as well.)

Many people are totally enslaved by all the evil garbage that is taking place in this world today. It’s not as if we weren’t warned it would be this way, as the Bible is very specific about how the end of this age would be. Never before have all the signs been completely present and in force as they are now, yet Jesus knew more would accept this world than His precious gift given for all of us (Matthew 7:13-14).

Israel is back in their land after almost 2,000 years of being scattered worldwide; the Ezekiel 38 coalition of Russia, Turkey and Iran formed just within the past several years; Jerusalem is the center of controversy as a “hook” as given in Ezekiel 38:4, as God promised it would be in Zechariah 12:2; and the attack against Israel will take place in just a matter of time. With the latest U.S. election results, our country is being aligned to not be an ally of Israel, and Genesis 12 will be our fate – those who bless Israel will be blessed; those who condemn Israel will be condemned. It becomes very understandable as to why the U.S. is not mentioned in end-time Bible prophecy.

People try to say they believe in Jesus and God, but have they actually received and accepted the Savior’s gift that He paid for so dearly at Calvary? Are they prepared for the persecution that will come just for being a Christian?

John 16:2; 33: “(2) They will put you out of the synagogues. Indeed, the hour is coming when whoever kills you will think he is offering service to God…. (33) I have said these things to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

All who receive and accept Jesus as their Savior are said to be “Born Again” and are like children to Him. In Matthew 19:13-15, Jesus showed how he views ‘children.’ “Then children were brought to Him that He might lay His hands on them and pray. The disciples rebuked the people, but Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them; for to such belongs the Kingdom of Heaven.’ And He laid His hands on them, and went away.”

Imagine, if you will, the ability to put your “old” life behind you and to start out fresh as a new child. Age is but a number that doesn’t count with the Father. All time was made at the creation for human use; God is not bound by it. Having seen people of every age pass from life to death has made a definite impression on me. At the moment the last breath was taken, a soul entered eternity, destined for one of two places. There are people who believe that once we die, that’s it, and there’s nothing further.

Problem is, there’s nothing further from the truth. There is only one unforgivable sin at the present time, and that is to die without Jesus. Those that lived prior to the crucifixion were to be in the will of God to receive the promised future gift of eternal life because of the coming Messiah. From Calvary to the end of the Millennial Reign, the gift has already been provided and must be accepted to be saved. The other unforgivable sin is in Revelation 14:9-11 and applies to all who receive the mark of the beast.

To receive the complete forgiveness of our sins that are not to ever be remembered again (Psalm 103: 11-12), the simple “ABCs of Salvation are given in Romans 10:9-13. Once Jesus is in our hearts, and the Holy Spirit is within us, we can proudly sing a song written by Cindy Walker (7/1918-2/2006) from Mart, Texas. It’s called “A Child of The King” and has been recorded by many people. My favorite versions are by the Cathedrals and the Gaither Vocal Band.

(1) Once I was clothed in the rags of my sin; wretched and poor, lost and lonely within. But with wondrous compassion, the King of all Kings, in pity and love, took me under His wings.

(ref) Oh yes; Oh yes, I’m a child of the King; His royal blood now flows in my veins. And I, who was wretched and poor now can sing; Praise God! Praise God! I’m A Child of The King!

(2) Now I’m a child with a Heavenly Home; My Holy Father has made me His own. And I’m washed by His Blood, and I’m clothed in His love. And someday I’ll sing with the angels Above. (ref)

When we become a member of Jesus’ flock, our guarantee of a Heavenly Home is formed. In John 14:6, it’s recorded; “Jesus said to him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; No one comes to the Father except through Me.” Also, Acts 4:12; “And there is Salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under Heaven given among men, by which we must be saved.” Add to this John 3:16-18; Romans 8:1; 1 John 5:10-12 and many others.

When God says something, it is true and holy. When He repeats something, He wants us to take special heed to this.

Forever is something we can hardly imagine, but it will either be in Heaven or in Hell. There are no other options, and both are very real. The Lake of Fire was made for Satan and his fallen angels (demons), as given in Matthew 25:41. All who rejected God prior to Calvary, and all who have and will reject Jesus from Calvary forward, will join Satan and his followers there (Revelation 20:11-15).

As I mentioned earlier, the decision as to where each person will spend eternity is an individual choice, and no one else can make our decision for us. It’s hard to believe, but people are willingly following Satan and are even proud of it. He has them so programmed that they believe they will enjoy their final destination. Just reading about the rich man and Lazarus in Luke 16:19-31 should be enough to convince anyone they don’t want to be in Hell. Also, the torment begins at the moment of death. Hell isn’t occupied yet, as the first two occupants will be the false prophet and antichrist as given in Revelation 19:20. They will be followed 1,000 years later by Satan (Revelation 20:10), and then all the condemned from the White Throne Judgment.

Jokes about partying with friends in Hell are seriously sick. Each and every soul there will have their own personal punishment, and they will endure it forever in total darkness.

All who followed the Father and those who accepted Jesus will be in eternal light, enjoying their forever immortal, imperishable bodies. No more pain ever; no sickness; no more death; and no more being subject to temptation.

Call on the Savior today, right now, and become a “Child of The King.” It’s only too late after you die, and we don’t know exactly when that moment will be. We don’t know when the Rapture will happen, but all the fulfilled prophecy leading up to it has been completed, and it will be very soon. To miss that “call” will place a person in the worst period of time on this earth that they have ever seen.

Jesus is waiting; Call out today!

Maranatha!
