Death and Sheol :: By Mark A. Becker

Wherefore hear the word of the Lord, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem. Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves: Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste (Isaiah 28:14-16). (emphasis mine)

The Hebrew word for “covenant” is 1285 בְּרִית “berith” and means confederacy, confederate, covenant, league. From barah (in the sense of cutting (like bara’)); a compact (because made by passing between pieces of flesh) — confederacy, (con-)feder(-ate), covenant, league. (emphasis mine) [All definitions biblehub.com]

The Hebrew word for “death” is 4194 מָוֶת “maveth” and means to be deadly, death, died. From muwth; death (natural or violent); concretely, the dead, their place or state (hades); figuratively, pestilence, ruin — (be) dead((-ly)), death, die(-d). (emphasis mine)

The Hebrew word for “hell” is 7585 שְׁאוֹל “sheol” and is the underworld (place to which people descend at death) where the unsaved dead are awaiting the Great White Throne judgment (Revelation 20:11-14).

The Hebrew word for “overflowing” is 7857 שָׁטַף “shataph” and means to overflow, rinse or wash off.

The Hebrew word for “scourge” is 7752 שׁוֹט “shot” and means shot: a scourge, whip.

The Hebrew word for “pass through” is 5674 עָבַר “abar” and means to pass over, through, or by, pass on.

The Hebrew word for “come unto” is 935 בּוֹא “bo” and means to come in, come, go in, go.

When taking this all in, one can’t help but wonder if what we’re seeing here is vaccines for pestilence. After all, what Hebrew words should be used to convey something in the future and unknown at the time of writing? Is this the covenant of death?

Could this “cutting” that is “made by passing between pieces of flesh” be alluding to a vaccine in the only words available in Hebrew to emphasize something so futuristic? And that the Hebrew word for “death” can also refer to “pestilence”?

Isn’t it fascinating that “overflowing” means to “rinse or wash off” like we are doing with our hand-washing rituals during this pandemic?

Isn’t it interesting that “scourge” is the Hebrew “shot” and means “whip” like the sting of an injection?

Israel certainly, by her extreme efforts, wants the COVID virus to “pass through” and not “come in” to her people.

Israel is the one nation that has more people “immunized” per capita than any other nation on earth, and they have certainly been in agreement and in cooperation with all of the pharmaceutical companies to carry out this mass campaign.

Many have been warning of the dire consequences of what this “vaccine” may entail long-term, but, of course, they have been silenced into submission. Why?

In Revelation we see what seems to be a similar event after the rapture of the church:

And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth (Revelation 6:7-8) (emphasis mine)

We see “death and Sheol (hell)” again. Is there a link?

The Greek word for “beasts” is 2342 θηρίον, ου, τό “thérion” and is the generic term for wild animal (“beast”); (figuratively) a brutal (“bestial“) nature.

If the Bible were to be speaking of viruses (or any other microscopic creatures), I would presume that this Greek word would be used. After all, the actual identity of plagues would not have been known 2,000 years ago, and viruses can certainly be considered “wild” beasts of a “brutal nature.”

As always, let the reader be the judge.

Love, grace, mercy, and shalom in Messiah Yeshua, and Maranatha!
