Lamb of God :: By Dennis Huebshman

Revelation 5:6-10; “And between the Throne and the four living creatures, and among the elders, I saw a Lamb standing as though He had been slain; with seven horns and with seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God, sent out into all the earth. He went and took the scroll from the right hand of Him who was seated on the Throne. And when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty- four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp and golden bowls full if incense, which are the prayers of the saints. And they sang a new song, saying,

‘Worthy are You to take the scroll and open its seals; for you were slain, and by Your blood, you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nations; and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God; and they shall reign on the earth.’” (all emphasis mine)

The above is a prelude to the start of the seven seal judgments that Jesus will open to start the Tribulation/Wrath. As stated, our Savior is indeed worthy because of His sacrifice at Calvary, for all who will receive and accept Him. As stated, “Your blood ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nations.” This plainly states that the gift of everlasting life in heaven is offered for all – everyone – who will accept it. It’s the only way to the Father, and the Lamb paid our price in full (John 14:6; Acts 4:12).

As I have stated previously, for a gift to be worthwhile, the “receiver” must “open and accept” it. Then, the gift can be claimed by the person who received it. Sadly, the majority of everyone on this earth will leave it on the table, unopened. They are more controlled by the so-called “treasures and pleasures” of this earth that are nothing more than garbage when compared to the rich blessings we will have in Heaven. Satan is very well versed about offering this earth and making Heaven seem like a fairytale. Many people today are only too willing to follow his enticing deceptions (Matthew 7:13-14; 2 Thessalonians 2:10-11).

John 10: 4-5; “When He [Jesus] has brought out His own, He goes before them, and the sheep [true believers] follow Him; for they know His voice. A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.” (This could be interpreted as a “Rapture” verse.)

Going to John 10:9-11; “I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he/she will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief [false prophets and antichrists and Satan] comes only to steal, kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.”

Jesus plainly states in John 10:16 that He is not only for the Jews, but everyone; “And I have other sheep that are not of this fold [God’s chosen]. I must bring them also, and they will listen to My voice. So, there will be one flock, One Shepherd.”

It was totally obvious by the signs and wonders that Jesus did while in human form that He is the Messiah. John 20:25-26; “Jesus answered them, I told you [that He was the Christ], and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father’s name bear witness about Me; but you do not believe, because you are not among My sheep.”

Twila Paris wrote and performed a song in 1985 that is pure praise and worship. Please consider these inspirational words.

(1) Your only Son, no sin to hide; but You have sent Him from Your side to walk upon this guilty sod, and to become the Lamb of God.

(ref) Oh, Lamb of God, sweet Lamb of God; I love the Holy Lamb of God. Oh, wash me in Your precious blood; My Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God.

(2) Your gift of love, they crucified. They laughed and scorned Him as He died. The humble King, they named a fraud, and sacrificed the Lamb of God. (ref)

(3) I was so lost, I should have died. But You have brought me to Your side, to be led by Your staff and rod, and to be called a Lamb of God. (ref)

In Romans 8:1, Paul states; “There is therefore, now no condemnation, for those who are in Christ Jesus.” This follows what is written in John 3:18 and 1 John 5:12:

“Whoever believes in Him is not condemned; but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he/she has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.”

“Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.”

All who worshiped God and did His will from the Creation to Calvary will have eternal life. All from Calvary to the end of the Millennial reign, who received and accepted Jesus as their Savior, will have eternal life. All those mentioned here have their names written in the Book of Life. Their earthly sins have been forgiven and will not be brought up again (Psalm 103:11-12).

However, there is no defense or pardon or excuse for all others. Their names will not be in the Book of Life, but they will be judged by everything they ever did. Each and every sin they ever committed will be brought out, and they will join Satan, the false prophet and the ultimate antichrist in the Lake of Fire – Hell – forever (Revelation 20:11-15). There is no advocate to stand up for them and save them, and they will be shown forever just how easy it would have been to not be in torment.

God accepted various sacrifices before Calvary as a “temporary” path to forgiveness. Sacrifices had to be repeated on a regular basis to show submission. Once the “Lamb of God” had shed His pure sinless blood, there were no more sacrifices for sin that humans could ever make. No works or any monetary offerings would be accepted. To insinuate otherwise would be the same as saying that Jesus didn’t complete what He specifically came to accomplish. Personally, I don’t want to tell the Father that His Son, one third of the Holy Trinity, was insufficient (Isaiah 64:6).

Another song states, “Jesus paid it all; all to Him I owe. Sin had left a crimson stain; He washed it white as snow.”

At this time, if you haven’t called on Jesus to forgive you and be your Savior, it would be very wise to do so. Right now would not be too early, but to wait for another day could be too late. The signs given in the Bible pertaining to the end of this age are all here right now for the first time ever. The Wrath/Tribulation is just a step away from the “Lamb” opening the first seal.

For all true believers, prior to that event, Jesus will call us up to meet Him in the air to be kept from that horrible seven years. Just follow the steps in Romans 10:9-13, and you can be assured you will be saved.

Satan will try to convince you to hold off until later as there’s plenty of time. He will try to convince you there’s many ways to Heaven and that Jesus is just a myth.

It’s totally up to each individual to choose which path you will follow. The straight and narrow to Jesus and Heaven, or the broad path with Satan and his demons leading straight to Hell. There are no other options; no exceptions. Jesus said in John 8:32, “and you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.” John 8:36; “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”

There are no special hours or occasions to call on Him. He’s right there, right now, to receive you as one of His flock. Revelation 22:20; “He who testifies to these things [Jesus] says, ‘I am coming soon.’ Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!” (Maranatha)
