An executive order signed by Defense Minister Naftali Bennet on Wednesday freezes the bank accounts of eight Palestinian terrorists and their families. All of the terrorists are currently in prison in Israel, with five serving life sentences. The order freezes the monthly allowance given by Palestinian sources to them and their families.

Erdogan announces plan to send troops to Libya
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced military backing for Libya’s internationally recognised Government of National Accord (GNA), now that the north African country requested it. In a speech in Ankara on Thursday, Erdogan said on January 7 he will present a bill to the Turkish Parliament on deployment legislation.

New Zealand gun confiscation program steps on a rake
The deadline for the mandatory gun buyback program was Friday. The New Zealand program successfully led to the compensated confiscation of 51,000 of the targeted firearms. But as the left-leaning Guardian newspaper reports, this is out of an estimated 170,000 such guns currently in circulation. And there are still a minimum of 1.2 million legally owned firearms in New Zealand on top of that. This means that many people ignored the demand that they turn in their guns and trust the supposedly benevolent government to protect them from themselves.
