Imminent :: By Dennis Huebshman

The Rapture

Imminent – About to happen, ready to take place (Merriam-Webster; all emphasis mine). If you were to read through the Bible for the very first time, and then take a “serious” look at all that’s happening in the world today, it would be safe to say you would see end-time prophecy being fulfilled daily. World events that are here have always been present to a lesser degree, but nowhere near the intensity and magnitude of today. Human attitudes are shifting to the satanic side all over the world. We could safely say, the end of this age is Imminent.

Just one example: can anyone remember any other pope than the current one who ever promoted all religions worship the same god? Or any who went all-out seeking a one-world religion?

Has there ever been a time prior to just the past couple years where a baby can be killed at birth, and called a woman’s right? I’ve heard of other countries that have actually had it proposed that parents should have up to two years to decide whether or not to keep their baby, or euthanize it. This goes back to the “BAAL” days when child sacrifice was taking place. Is it any wonder that God made sure some cultures disappeared, and that He severely disciplined His chosen for seeking after and worshiping other gods?

The attitude, especially in America, is that anything “Christian” is now considered hateful. Just because we don’t engage in alternate lifestyles or condone the killing of newborns, we’re called “haters.” This is totally satanic, pure and simple. To believe our nation won’t be judged just because more and more people do not believe in Jesus or our Heavenly Father, does not change what the outcome will be. It does not mean we hate the people; we just don’t accept their actions as being right.

Jesus spoke of the “straight and narrow” path in Matthew 7:13-14, and made it plain that there would be many on that broad path that leads to destruction. America’s attitude has shifted from a “God-fearing” nation to a “God-denying” nation. There is the belief that the message of the Bible is totally out of date, and does not apply in this “modern” world. People are eager to believe the lies that Satan is so skillful in presenting.

Consider Numbers 23:19, “God is not man, that He should lie, or son of man that He should change His mind. Has He said, and will He not do it? Or, has He spoken, and will He not fulfill it.?”

Next, Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever.” Remember, Jesus and the Father are One (John 10:30).

Also consider James 1:17, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.”

Malachi 3:6, “For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob (Jews) are not consumed.” Applies to everyone today, not just His chosen. Isaiah 40:8, “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.”

These are but a few of the verses that tell us our God does not change. That other garbage is what Satan and his demons are putting out; and, unfortunately, the world wants to believe him. The “lie” is more enticing than the “truth.” People would much rather be told their earthly desires are perfectly proper, and there are plenty of false prophets out there confirming these thoughts. Jesus, Paul, John, Peter, James and others spoke of the false prophets and antichrists that would be here just before the rapture, and His return.

Sad to note, even previously biblical evangelical churches are succumbing to the modern-age thinking. Bible verses are being “tweaked” to insinuate alternate lifestyles are now acceptable. Christian businesses are being singled out for persecution through the “legal” system to try and shut them down. We’re told in Matthew 24, 2 Timothy 3 and 1 John 2:3-5, that this activity would increase, and “modern” churches are not giving the full message from the Father. The pews being filled to hear ear-tickling sermons with fancy stage productions and catchy music to entertain, rather than truly “ministering” to the needs of the souls, is all too common today.

My belief is that when Jesus calls all the “true” believers to meet Him up in the air, some churches will not see any change in attendance at the next meeting time. And, of course, everyone will be in disbelief that they were left behind. The most popular line will be, “I’m good. Why am I still here?”

Has anyone taken note of what the political environment in Israel is right now? They have held two elections this year, and no one has been able to form a majority government. The president of Israel is expected to appoint his choice of Prime Minister, and it appears it won’t be the current administration.

In America, we have witnessed a revamping of our economy for the better, yet the radical left is trying to take down our president by any means. The media is totally trying to control the country’s thinking with faux news, and the radical left is buying it completely.

Ezekiel 38/39 is about to take place. With a change in Israel’s government, it’s obvious there will be a shift in the successful surge Israel has experienced over the past two decades. Without the strong leadership, and with America’s internal disarray, the attack from the “coalition” is imminent. Russia, Iran, Turkey and several smaller nations are having failing economies, and are looking for ways to just survive. What better way than to take over the resources of Israel, which far outshines all of them put together. They see this “small” nation as something that will be easy to consume. After all, they are very large countries, and Israel is only about the size of New Jersey. They don’t realize God doesn’t require a lot of room to do His work.

We need to not be surprised, as God is in control of all the events taking place. All the way back in Ezekiel’s time, Chapter 38:4 states, “And I will turn you about and put hooks into your jaws, and I will bring you out; and all your army, horses and horsemen; all of them clothed in full armor; a great host; all of them with buckler and shield, wielding swords.” He goes on to name the nations that have only recently formed as a coalition for the first time ever.

Paul tells of an event in 1 Corinthians 15:51-53 and 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 that will take place prior to the seven-year wrath/tribulation officially starting. It’s commonly called the “Rapture,” and could be at any moment. Everything spoken of that has to happen prior to Israel being attacked is totally in place. Only the Father knows the exact day and hour, but to say it’s imminent would be totally accurate.

Rapture
True believers, while not happy with the state of the world, are not in total despair. God promised all who belong to His Son’s flock will not go through the wrath. To be a part of this flock, call on Jesus to forgive you of your sins. You have not done anything that He cannot forgive if you truly repent. Ask Him to be your Savior, and have the Holy Spirit come to live within you. This is a free gift that was paid in full by Jesus Himself. You can’t earn or buy the gift; He gives it freely. Today would not be too early to call on Him as His return for all believers is Imminent.

Shalom! Come Lord Jesus
