The King Is Coming :: by Clay Smith

The King that is coming is the Lord Jesus: the Son of God. He came once almost 2,000 years ago as the Saviour, died on the Cross, was placed in the tomb, and walked out of that tomb three literal days later. Jesus is in Heaven now at the right hand of the Father, waiting to return to bring his bride, the Church, back to Glory with him.

1) 1 Thessalonians 4:17 “Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

Back again:

2) The King is going to come back again at the “Second Coming” at the end of the Tribulation which lasts for seven years. The believers are coming with him to reign on earth from Jerusalem, Israel, for 1,000 years called the millennial reign of Christ (Revelation 19:14).

Revelation 20:6 “Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death have no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ and shall reign with him 1,000 years.”

Christ is coming back in his splendor and glory to reign, and there will be peace on earth for a thousand years. He will be (and already is) the King of kings and Lord of lords (Revelation 19:16) over all living souls and the animal kingdom. The people who survive the Tribulation will be the ones to repopulate the earth during this time period. There are many scriptures for this which I will not go into at this time.

As I write these articles, the Holy Spirit always lets me know without a doubt what I am to write. I don’t plan in advance (except maybe the first one I did) what subject I will write on. So, therefore, at the appropriate time, I know when He inspires me; and this one was no different. But there was a unique twist in this one, and I’m still in awe. Even as I sat down to begin writing earlier, God’s presence came over me, and I felt that there is something to this one. It took me about five minutes to get composed. That’s never happened before.

The other night I was watching a show (nothing in particular), and I was pressing the mute button on the commercials. At one of the commercials, immediately the Holy Spirit spoke the words (not audibly), “The King!” Immediately, as usual I thought ok, here is my next article; this one is going to be great. This one is on our King. After 3-4 seconds, I got the other half of it; and wow, I was amazed. It was so plain and obvious that I didn’t know what to do or think.

“Is Coming!” What does this mean? What is God saying? There are only two options.

1) That’s my next article for sure, and we know He’s Coming (but we do not know the day or the hour).

2) But could it be that it’s extremely close? I’m not saying what you might be thinking. I’m just a watchman on the wall like the rest of us. I’m no prophet.

We know all the signs and Scriptures that the Bible mentions are really converging now like never before (all at once), and we are seeing prophecy come to reality. When ALL these appear, Jesus is close to returning to take his bride to glory. This is happening right now, in real time. There are so many articles that have been written on this here at Rapture Ready for you to look at.

I wanted to give you some scriptures pertaining to “King” and “Coming.”

King of kings: six references to the word King/ king.

Ezra 7:12 “Artaxerxes, king of kings, unto Ezra the priest…”

Ezekiel 26:7 “Behold, I will bring upon Tyrus Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, a king of kings, from the north…” [the king’s name in the Bible is spelled both ways: Nebuchadnezzar and Nebuchadrezzar].

Daniel 2:37 “Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven have given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory” (Daniel speaking to Nebuchadnezzar-king of Babylon).

1 Timothy 6:15 “Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords” (Apostle Paul writing to Timothy).

Revelation 17:14 “They shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings” (at the end of the Tribulation period).

Revelation 19:16 “And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King of Kings, And Lord of Lords” (Jesus).

Coming: for the Rapture of the Church – the Bride of Christ (us believers).

Rapture: snatching up; taken, lifted.

1 Thessalonians 4:17 “Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

1 Thessalonians 2:19 “For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?”

2 Thessalonians 2:1 “Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him.”

James 5:7 “Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord.”

Matthew 24:37 “But as the days of Noe were, so shall also be coming of the Son of man be.”

Matthew 24:39 “And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”

Christ’s 2nd Coming: a few scriptures.

Matthew 24:27 “For as the lightning come with out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”

Matthew 24:30 “And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.”

1 Thessalonians 3:13 “To The end he may stablish your hearts unblamable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.”

Luke 21:25-27 “And there shall be signs in the sun and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And they shall see the coming of the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.”

So I hope you will see the urgency of this article and what I’m stating. Be ready when the King comes to take us to heaven. It could take place any second; and in the twinkling of an eye, we will be gone. There is no time to prepare. Tell people there’s not much time.

I hope this has helped and cleared things up for you.
