I Will Lift Up Mine Eyes Unto the Hills :: By Geri Ungurean

“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help [cometh] from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD [is] thy keeper: the LORD [is] thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore”  (Psalms 121:1-8).

Keep Your Eyes On Jesus

The Lord spoke to my heart through the Holy Spirit last night. I feel that He told me that just like Peter walking on the water with Him, I must keep focused on Him alone. When I keep my attention on that which is happening in this world, I am just like Peter sinking down into the water as he looked around at his circumstances.

“But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary. And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased” (Matthew 14:24-42).

Do Not Fear

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7).

Trust In the Lord

“Every word of God [is] pure: he [is] a shield unto them that put their trust in him” (Proverbs 30:5).

Trust That He Hears You Always

“The LORD [is] my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him” (Psalms 28:7).

“I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears”(Psalms 34:4).

You Can Do All Things Through Him

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (Philippians 4:13).

We Are Not Appointed To Wrath

“For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do” (1 Thessalonians 5: 9-11).

Give Him Your Burdens

“Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved” (Psalms 55:22).

The Lord Has Only Good Thoughts Towards Us

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end” (Jeremiah 29:11).

He Will Fill Us With Joy and Peace When We Believe Him

“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost” (Romans 15:13).

We May Cry Now, But We Will Reap In Joy

“They that sow in tears shall reap in joy” (Psalm 126:5).

The Only Real Peace Is In Him

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid”(John 14:27).

His Word Sustains Us

“For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12).

For Those Who Are not Saved But Wish To Be:

How Can I Be Saved?

Brethren, these times in which we live are unsettling and sometimes very scary. We see the world becoming darker and darker. We realize that many in this world consider us an “Enemy” as Jesus told us it would be. That which is good is called evil, and evil – good.

Satan realizes that his time here is short. He accuses us night and day before our God. But when God hears Satan’s accusations, He reminds him that we were purchased and redeemed. He reminds him that the Blood of Jesus covers all of the trespasses of which the devil speaks against the children of God.

I believe it will not be long before we are removed from this wicked world, and after this, the Great Tribulation of 7 years will begin. Then God’s attention will turn to His Beloved Israel.

Print this out if you can. We must focus on God’s Word and His promises. He cannot lie! We can trust every Word in the Bible because these words are God breathed and will never pass away.

“The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever” (Isaiah 40:8).

“And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven” (Acts 1:10-11).
