In this article I would like to get very serious about the topic of hell and the lake of fire. And by the same token, who and what Satan really is, in which most people are confused. It is so obvious now days who really understands who Satan really is and what hell and the lake of fire really are. It is this set of lies” by Satan that brings this about.
1 Kings 3:8-10 “And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude. Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people? And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.”
How obvious is our awareness of our own sin? In this, we must realize that we are sinful in almost every way. Adam and Eve ate of the “fruit of the knowledge of good and evil.” Knowing this we are able to see that all of us, do indeed, know the difference between what is good and what is evil. This alone is a statement that bears reference to what Adam and Eve did against the Lord God in Eden.
It matters little who you are or what place you hold in this world. Good and evil exist in each of us and we know the difference in every act we make.
I am not aware of where we got the picture of Satan as a completely red reptilian; having horns, a long pointed tail and carrying a trident with that devious smile, the long, thin mustache and the ever present sadistic grin. Trust me when I say, the Bible does NOT describe Satan in this manner. Although I am absolutely sure that visage is what Satan wants you to think he looks like. Once again, Satan uses lies, false information and deception to make you think this way.
Revelation 12:9 “And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”
Revelation 20:14-15 “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
Revelation 21:8 “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
Could this be a true and real “oops” moment? The passages in the book of Revelation best describes who Satan and his angels really are and what will happen to those who follow them. Did you notice the part about the lake of fire having been created by the Lord God for Satan and his ilk?
And then did you notice het human beings that followed Satan and his ilk would join them in the lake of fire as well? That is something very serious to think about. Take a serious look at these verses of Scripture concerning those who follow Satan and his ilk…they are deafening to say the least!
Matthew 25:41 “Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.”
Matthew 7:21-23 “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
Now many people have taken that comical visage of Satan to heart. Let’s understand, that will only work to Satan’s advantage because it is pure deception. Was it not deception that Satan used on Eve in the Garden of Eden? You bet is was and we can be sure it is a tool Satan uses today.
2 Corinthians 11:14-15 “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”
Why do people believe these misconceptions? The answer is found in what they enjoy most: SIN! If you are having such a good time, why would you even think to stop? Please consider this carefully.
Lets create a picture here. You’re standing on the shore of the ocean and you have a cup of water in your left hand and a medicine dropper in your right hand. So you draw up a dropper full of the water and you drop 90 drops of water into the ocean. Are you able to see if you have created any difference in the level of the ocean? Of course you won’t. Now let’s consider a similar thing.
Let’s say you get to live 90 years on this earth. How much of a difference is that 90 years going to make when compared to the vastness of eternity in time? In terms of the water, it wouldn’t even make a ripple. Your 90 years won’t make a ripple in time either. My friends, that is your 90 years here on earth…almost nothing.
So then the question is this: Why would you trade 90 years here, for an eternity in the lake of fire? Just to indulge in a life of sin? Do you see the “delusion” here? Do you see the “deception” Satan has given you? A life in eternity that screams of pain and suffering, unending tears and the gnashing of teeth (your teeth?).
You’re lost in a situation. You have just had a heart attack and the doctors are working feverishly to save your life. In the meantime, your family and close friends are wringing their hands, praying and saying “Oh my God, I hope he lives!” That my friends, is known as having “hope” that you will recover.
There is NO HOPE for you if you are in hell or in the lake of fire…absolutely NO HOPE at all and it will be that way for ALL of eternity! There will never be any way to back up to do it all over again; there will never be any escape from the lake of fire. There will be no breaks, there will never be any chance of going to heaven…YOU will be there forever and ever.
I am wondering who came up with the idea that dead people would ever be able to reign with Satan in hell or the lake of fire? It is absolutely ridiculous to think such a thing. Satan will never be able to reign anywhere. The Lord God created hell and the lake of fire and God will be the ONLY one to reign anywhere or at any time in eternity.
The Lord God has the keys to the gates of hell and once the Lord God judges Satan and all of his followers, those keys will be deposited in the lake of fire as well. The Bible states that the lake of fire will be like a huge furnace where the smoke will rise for eternity.
Is that somewhere you want to go to for eternity?
Don’t believe me…read the Word of God…believe that instead. I am endeavoring to help you understand everything you are up against when it comes to your “spirit” and your life. No one is able to make that decision for you, no one is able to pray you into heaven, no one is able to forgive your sin…except Jesus Christ.
If you never believe anything else, believe this: Jesus Christ is the only One that is able to forgive you of your sins. That is the reason HE went to that Roman Cross on Calvary to die and shed His precious blood—to cover your sin!
YOU must ask for His forgiveness, you must ask Him to cover your sin with His blood. That is the only way into heaven Anything else will get you an eternity in the lake of fire. God said so! The Bible…His words…to your ears. Believe it.
