“Will Israel’s Omen Be America’s Judgment?”
In 2015 the Judeo-Christian world will look to the heavens as an astronomically, scientifically and biblically-rare occurrence involving a solar eclipse and two Blood Moons appear which some believe to be the prophecy of Joel:
“The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord” (Joel 2:31).
NASA has documented four Blood Moon tetrads since Jesus’ birth. EACH time these Blood Moons appeared on Jewish holidays – Passover and Feast of Tabernacles – and EACH time they coincided with significant events pertaining to the Jews and Israel.
The Blood Moon tetrad of 1493-94 signified the Jews being expelled from Spain during the Inquisition; the 1949-50 tetrad signified Israel becoming a national state (the single, most significant prophecy pertaining to the return of Christ); the 1967-68 tetrad represented the Jews recapture of Jerusalem during the Six Day War.
We are in the fourth Blood Moon tetrad of 2014-15. After this one, there will be no more appearing on Jewish holidays Already two Blood Moons have appeared on April 15 (Passover) and October 8 (Feast of Tabernacles). The remaining two will appear in 2015 on April 4 (Passover) and September 28 (Feast of Tabernacles). Both of these Blood Moons will be preceded by a solar eclipse on March 20, 2015 – hence the prophecy.
God uses the heavens as His ‘high-definition’ billboard to communicate to His people with the sun, moon and stars as signs. (Genesis 1:14). Jesus reiterated this when He said:
“And there will be signs in the sun, moon and stars . . . now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws nigh” (Luke 21:25, 28).
2015 will also be a Shemitah year in which God allows something to happen to get our attention just as He did every seven years in the Old Testament when He punished the disobedient Children of Israel with the ‘Seven Sets of Seven’.
Previous Shemitah years saw the seven buildings of the World Trade Center destroyed in September 2001. Seven years later the Dow Jones dropped 777 points in one day in September 2008; seven years after that brings us to September 2015, which could possibly be the prophecy of Joel.
Israel’s role in end-time prophecy is central to God’s prophetic time clock. Events are unfolding on almost a daily basis concerning Israel and the Middle East. We are living in the last days and Scripture tells us that the Middle East will experience death, destruction and wars as the world sees God destroy the nations that have tormented Israel and her people who are and always have been the “apple of His eye” (Psalm 83, Isaiah 17, Ezekiel 38 and 39).
God is shouting to us that something BIG is about to happen!
