Election Warning :: by Ed Merrick

Mid-term elections are coming up in November and there is a good chance that the Republicans could hold on to the house and retake the Senate. Would this right the ship of state? In ordinary times it probably would to a great extent, but these are not ordinary times.

If you believe that there are political solutions to America’s problems and that electing the right people will solve those problems, then you are probably living in “La La Land.”

Are elections important and should Christians participate in the political process by speaking out and voting and much prayer? YES, YES and YES! We can make a difference.

The changes in our culture over the past few years have far outstripped the political, moral and religious restraints that used to govern our culture. That is because we are not just dealing with powerful, immoral men who have their own agenda but with the prince and power of the air who knows that his time is short.

Ephesians 6:12: “ For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

This election may be extremely pivotal. Just suppose that the Republicans do hold the House of Representatives and retake the Senate. Ordinarily this would tie the president’s hands to some extent and give the Congress the power to begin reversing some of the oppressing policies and regulations that have been forced on us.

But Mr. Obama and his puppeteers have proven adept at outflanking Congress, the Constitution and the Supreme Court, enforcing laws selectively, ignoring others and ruling by decree. Some call it an imperial presidency.

Is there anyone out there naïve enough to believe that Obama and his minions are going to let an election put a stop to their plans to finish the job of fundamentally transforming America in their march toward “the new world order” with two years left to accomplish their goals? (La La Land?)

Most pundits and talking heads seem to think that Obama is inept, a political novice, out of touch, etc. None of this could be further from the truth. The reason that it seems this way is that he is making decisions that will further his agenda which is to take down America—what is best for his (and those behind the scenes) agenda rather than what is best for America.

Remember, he is a disciple of Saul Alinsky (12 Rules for Radicals) and Cloward and Pivin. (And so is Hilary Clinton.) These are avowed socialists who advocate taking down America, or any country, from within by overloading the welfare system (this is why the borders are not closed); impeding capitalism by over regulating, and having big government in charge of everything: health care, energy, etc.

Obama is a radical surrounded by radicals and they are making great gains in furthering their agenda. Inept? Not at all. Just following a different agenda. (If you are not familiar with Saul Alinsky and Cloward and Pivin, I recommend that you do a little research on them.)

There is an increasing fear among political and prophecy prognosticators that if Republicans regain control of congress, that if an outside crisis such as a terrorist attack on America or a natural disaster such as an earthquake or super storm or the collapse or our economy, does not occur, then such a crisis will be manufactured by “the powers that be” sufficient for said powers to declare a national emergency and seize power. At this point we become a socialist banana republic.

This would mean that the president (directed by his puppeteers) would become a dictator. He could by decree make and change laws and suspend elections which would allow him to serve another term.

If you have been watching, you know that he has armed previously unarmed agencies of the government and bought up enough ammunition have a war.

I sincerely hope that I am wrong about this, but I think we have to be considering the possibility and share the warning.

Pray for wisdom and pray for America.
