Give Us a Leader :: by Daymond Duck

Many are stunned at President Obama’s weakness. Some have accused him of “leading from behind.” His staff says that means he sees himself as a guide or a voice within a group of nations, not the leader of that group of nations. His wimpy, wishy-washy character is an embarrassment for many who thought he would be a great leader.

Some are saying he is an incompetent fraud that can’t or doesn’t know how to lead. Sadly, this blasphemer who was once compared to the Messiah is now being compared to Barney Fife, the inept bumbling deputy sheriff of Mayberry, NC. One cartoonist even declared that President Obama’s approval ratings are so low that even the Kenyans are saying he was born in the United States.
President Obama has brought this on himself. His negotiations with Russia over our nuclear stockpiles turned into unilateral surrender. His approach to Libya over the removal of Muammar Gaddafi was inconsistent and confusing. His red line on Syria’s chemical weapons was drawn with disappearing ink. His sanctions on Iran’s nuclear program turned into a charade that evaporated into thin air.

His interference in the Egyptian elections has been a disaster that he doesn’t know how to handle. His threats to attack Iran ended with America’s ships turning and going away. He may do more, but at this time, his sanctions on Russia over her invasion of Ukraine have been characterized as the work of a “prankster.” Unless something happens, his efforts to get the EU to impose meaningful sanctions on Russia have produced very little.

President Obama has acted like a parent who tells his or her child, “Don’t do that,” “Don’t do that,” “Don’t do that” over and over again, but the parent never punishes the child. And the child quickly learns that he or she can do and get away with anything. Our enemies have learned that President Obama talks, but his talk is without substance. They can do whatever they want and get away with it. His weakness is turning the world into a more perilous place.

With this on my mind my thoughts skipped to something I have heard many times. I tried to remember it, but I couldn’t quote it without the help of my friend, Terry James. Many attribute the words to Henri Spaak one of the principal founders of the EU, “What we want is a man of sufficient stature to hold the alliances of all people and to lift us out of the economic morass into which we are sinking. Send us such a man, and be he god or devil, we will receive him.”

I have often said that President Obama is not the Antichrist. But I want to quickly add that I think that his well-known and proven weakness is playing an important role in the coming fulfillment of Bible prophecy. His disappointing tactics are adding impetus to the cry for a strong leader who can lead the world out of the economic morass and chaotic mess it is in. He is setting the stage for more problems and a loud cry for a decisive man that can impress and dazzle the citizens of the world. Such a man will appear after the Rapture. He will be welcomed with open arms and lavished with great power.
Of course, it is just speculation, but President Obama’s weakness could speed up the consolidation of nations into regional groups. Following Russia’s invasion of Crimea, some of Russia’s neighbors felt threatened. The U.S. followed through with joint navy drills with Romania and Bulgaria. NATO started reconnaissance flights over Poland and Romania. That was good, but some leaders said it was too little too late and they now question President Obama’s reliability. Some have decided that they need to look elsewhere for protection and security. Some are considering other alliances and that could hasten the rise of the Ten Kings.

It is also speculation, but President Obama’s weakness will strengthen the cause of those who want to appoint a super-President of the EU. This will be voted on in the summer of 2014. Then, the first super-President of the EU may well be the first of the Ten Kings. And all other regions such as the NAU (Canada, Mexico and the United States) will be required to pattern their laws and political structure after the EU. Eventually there will be ten strong leaders or super-presidents of ten groups of nations and these will be the ten kings or ten horns.

Finally, it is more speculation that may or may not happen (and it may be weeks, months or years if it does), but I believe Israel could get into a war with her neighbors (PA, Syria, etc.) before the Rapture. President Obama’s weakness could cross Mr. Putin’s mind and cause him to think an evil thought. He might think that he can go after Israel’s silver and gold, cattle and goods, and President Obama won’t do anything other than set up his teleprompter and make a speech. Speculation doesn’t always come true, but some of these things are ultimately going to happen.
