Locusts
Plague of locusts set to descend upon Middle East. New extremely alarming desert locust swarms are forming. The previous time the region has been in such danger was during the locust plague of 1987-1989. Not all regions of the Middle East will be affected, however. Despite proximity to Passover, it appears the swarms will not strike Israel.
Coronavirus
In Italy: The situation is especially tragic. With the entire country quarantined at home except for necessities, cases of the virus are still appearing, so far. In 24 hours between Tuesday and Wednesday, 475 people died. Italy announced 627 more deaths on Friday, the biggest day-to-day increase in the country’s four-week epidemic. Doctors are having to decide who is given a chance to live and who isn’t. The death rate is over 8% in this country where one in four people are elderly (the elderly are also apt to have underlying health issues). Over 2,600 medical workers are infected, and some have died. No one can visit their sick loved ones in the hospital, and no funerals are allowed. In Bergamo in the hardest hit Lombardy region, they say “a generation has died.” Coffins are piled up and corpses are sealed off in homes as Bergamo’s funeral firms are overwhelmed. The army had to be brought in this week to ferry coffins to remote cremation sites because local morgues can’t cope with the surging death toll.

Dr. Anthony Fauci says he’s certain efforts to slow coronavirus spread are having an impact despite the growing number of cases at this time. He’s the director of National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
Drug used to originally fight malaria could possibly treat coronavirus. The drug is chloroquine phosphate. “It’s also been shown to be very effective in treating patients who have autoimmune diseases like lupus,” said Judith James, M.D., Ph.D., Vice President of Clinical Affairs at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation. “We use it to treat hundreds of lupus patients at OMRF.” In China, researchers tested the drug in a clinical trial to treat pneumonia associated with COVID-19. Preliminary results indicate that the drug appears to show some efficacy as a therapy.
Israel’s Teva to send US millions of malaria pills with potential to help COVID-19. Israeli generic drug giant Teva announced Friday that it will provide ten million doses of its anti-malarial drug hydroxychloroquine, which could potentially prove effective in fighting the coronavirus pandemic, to US hospitals free of charge.

Several years ago, at age 100, Mrs. Boone told how her family was the only family in a small rural Alabama area that didn’t contract the flu during the 1918 flu outbreak. The first trial vaccine for coronavirus began on Monday in Seattle, which has been a hotbed for COVID-19. The test includes 45 people age 18-55 who are receiving two injections, one at zero days, one at 28 days. The individuals will then be followed for one year. The trial results are still months away.

Trump invokes Defense Production Act as coronavirus response. A long while back, US companies sold out to other countries for the so-called “almighty dollar.” Shame on them all. And we’re really paying the price for that now. President Trump had been trying to correct that situation but with much disagreement, of course. The president is now invoking the Defense Production Act which allows forcing American industry to manufacture medical supplies in short supply. Hospitals, health workers and state and local officials are quickly running out of personal protective equipment, also expected short supply of breathing machines as the demand is expected to increase. China and other countries are also blocking exports of those products as they seek to combat the pandemic within their borders. “There’s never been an instance like this where no matter what you have it’s not enough,” Trump said.

After conducting the largest quarantine in human history, China is now claiming, for a second day, that there are zero new local cases of COVID-19. But Chinese citizens describe a different reality. In Wuhan, ground zero of the epidemic, residents witnessed long lines at hospitals while more facilities were reportedly being set up to accommodate ill patients. Meanwhile, netizens (internet users) said they don’t trust the Chinese regime’s narrative. I wouldn’t take a communist leader’s word for it either.
Chinese scientists destroyed proof of virus in December. Chinese laboratories identified a mystery virus as a highly infectious new pathogen by late December last year, but they were ordered to stop tests, destroy samples and suppress the news. China did not acknowledge there was human-to-human transmission until more than three weeks later.

The Washington Post and Vox are two left-wing media outlets that published stories this week claiming that a Montana-based NIH scientist is appealing to the Trump administration to end its ban on federal funds for research that uses fetal tissue from the body parts of aborted babies so he can develop a treatment for the infection caused by the coronavirus. According to the reports, NIH immunologist Dr. Kim Hasenkrug claims he has been unable to conduct experiments on possible cures for the infection because he cannot obtain aborted fetal tissue.
Abortion Activists Complain Babies May Not be Killed During Coronavirus Outbreak. A National Abortion Federation email this week pressured the medical community to continue providing elective abortions amid the health crisis. Though hospitals and doctors’ offices are worried about having enough staff, resources and beds for people suffering from the virus, abortion activists are urging them to use those precious resources to end lives through abortion.
Planned Parenthood is still open for killing babies. Because in a time of widespread contagious disease, the first thing we’re all supposed to worry about is whether women can still dispense with their unwanted children.
American Idol Contestant Advances to Next Round After Singing Song Celebrating Abortions. “Hellywood” is openly pushing the abortion industry’s attempts to normalize killing of unborn babies through movies, TV shows, music, and now popular contests. And if the floods have come and destroyed their gardens, then food relief is a must. So we’re looking at…approximately twenty-thousand people (affected).”
India: Highest Ever March Rainfall in Delhi. Over last weekend, an intense spell of rain pushed the overall rainfall figures this month to be the highest on record.
Madagascar: Tropical Cyclone “Herold” brings severe flooding, which resulted in one fatality. Herold is the 8th named storm of the 2019/20 Southwest Indian Ocean cyclone season.
East Timor: In this southeast Asian nation on March 13, several hours of very heavy rains caused widespread flooding in capital Dili, East Timor (Timor-Leste). 25,000 people or 4,000 households are affected. Even though the floods have receded, affected communities are still in need of essential relief items such as food and drinking water.
Columbia: Torrential rains and hailstorms, widespread flooding, damaging landslides. Severe weather continued to lash parts of Colombia, causing widespread flooding and landslides. On March 10 streets were left in whiteout conditions after a severe hailstorm hit the Bogota’s. On March 15, a mudslide killed one person and injured two others in Santander Department. Flooding was also reported in Bucaramanga city on March 16, affecting around 100 families.
UK: Flood warnings issued and highs of 15C (59F) ahead of freezing -3C (26.6F) weekend. The topsy-turvy weather this week was forecast to continue into the weekend.

California: A 5.2 earthquake rattled the northern California coast on Wednesday, centered not far from the origin of a larger quake that occurred March 8.
Utah: A powerful 5.7 earthquake struck Utah on Wednesday, it’s strongest quake since 1992. There have been at least 160 aftershocks since. Three of them were 4.0 or greater. The quake caused structural damage in various places, especially where the epicenter was located in Magma.
There were several earthquakes over 5.0 and 6.0 in various places, mostly in the ocean.

Immigration records further show federal authorities deported Lopez-Gonzalez in November 2007, then again in February 2010. It’s unclear how or when he returned to the U.S.
Another Illegal Immigrant Caravan Leaves Honduras for U.S. While the world is absorbed in the Coronavirus drama, yet another caravan of illegal immigrants is heading north to the US from Central America. The group departed recently from Honduras and its final destination is the U.S., according to a Mexican news report that reveals the caravan has some 500 Central Americans but is expected to grow along the way.

Governments looking into advanced surveillance, biometric tech to contain coronavirus. “We understand that given we are in this crisis, that some temporary adjustment of our digital liberties may be necessary, however it’s really important that those adjustments be temporary,” Adam Schwartz, a senior lawyer at the Electronic Frontier Foundation, told The Journal.

CONCLUSION
With the coronavirus outbreak (whether deliberately or accidentally unleashed upon us) and so much fear-inducing news (whether warranted or not), we can see how easily the world population can be manipulated to bow to a globalist government, and even the coming together of the one-world false, humanist religion.
As we brethren know, during the tribulation, this globalist system will be able to track and surveil everyone and will implement the mark of the beast.
ID2020 is not the mark of the beast, which would be a mark in the right hand or forehead. The mark of the beast will be something that people will willingly decide to take or refuse, but we can see the progression and how the world is being readied for it.
“And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him [the first beast—the Antichrist], whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. If any man have an ear, let him hear” (Revelation 13:8).
“And I beheld another beast [the second beast—False Prophet] coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon [a great deceiver]… And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six [666]” (Revelation 13:11, 16-18).
Those who refuse to take this mark will be hunted down and killed. But true believers in Christ won’t be here to worry about it; we’ll be with Jesus, having been raptured.
Mankind brings trouble upon itself; it is a consequence of sin. Surely this world has now become as wicked as it must have been in the days of Noah and Lot, and is overripe for God’s judgment. But God always gives plenty of warning before He judges. And He can also take anything meant for evil and use it to accomplish His purpose. If only people would repent (have a change of mind) and receive His pardon through Christ Jesus. He is the only way, the truth and the life and is the only mediator between God and man. He is God in the flesh. There is no one else in heaven or earth that we are to worship, pray to, or follow for salvation. No “good works” of any kind can save one’s soul. No church can save you. Only what Christ did on the cross for you. He is the only One who can forgive sin.

Think about eternal things. I love you. I died for you. Please don’t ignore me. Turn to me now while there is time.‘”
Speaking of time: “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2).
“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27).
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand” (John 10:27-29).
This is definitely a good time to immerse yourself in God’s Word—the Holy Bible, stay in prayer, and share the gospel. Jesus is coming for us soon.
“Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him” (Proverbs 30:5-6).
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16).
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:12-16).
