“For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither anything hid, that shall not be known and come abroad” (Luke 8:17).
“…these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all…” (2 Timothy 3:8-9).
The man who is widely considered to be the philosopher of American Democracy itself, a pioneer in functional psychology, and the one who laid the foundation of “progressive education” in the United States was an atheist, a radical liberal, and a totalitarian Socialist.
John Dewey died in 1952, but his influence gradually increased after his death to the point where now one could say with assurance that all “US public schools have become Deweyized.”1
His “functional psychology” school of thought is a direct outgrowth of the evolutionary theory of Charles Darwin.
Dewey was a secular humanist/atheist. An article in allaboutphilosophy.org regarding secular humanism and atheism describes them as essentially the same entity. The main theme that unites them is their disbelief in God/Jesus Christ. Their mission is to educate society and change laws to support their belief. An Atheist Pledge states: “An Atheist loves himself and his fellow man instead of a god.”
The “About” section of the website, The American Humanist Association: Good Without a God, describes the following view: “The American Humanist Association has stood as the voice of humanism in the United States for over 70 years. We strive to bring about a progressive society where being good without a god is an accepted and respected way to live life.”
Dewey said, “There is no God and there is no soul. Hence, there is no need for the props of traditional religion. With dogma and creed excluded, then immutable truth is dead and buried. There is no room for fixed and natural law or permanent moral absolutes.”
So, he was against natural law which is “a body of unchanging moral principles regarded as a basis for all human conduct.”
He was against permanent moral absolutes which maintain that there are certain universal moral principles by which all people’s actions may be judged.
Dewey considered conservative Christianity to be evil with political enemies of his philosophy, as he described in his 1924 essay titled “Fundamentals.”3
Dewey was one of the main voices of liberalism. He wrote in his 1935 book, Liberalism and Social Action, “If radicalism be defined as perception of need for radical change, then today any liberalism which is not also radicalism is irrelevant and doomed.”
So we see here that Dewey was also a radical liberal. He was against anything traditional or conservative. He vehemently disparaged anyone who was in opposition to his radical tactics.5
He has also been referred to as a “totalitarian socialist who envisioned total government control over all education through the agency of public schools.”3
His book, Democracy and Education, was listed by Human Events magazine as number five on a list of the ten most harmful books of the 19th and 20th centuries. Number one is The Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx; number two is Mein Kampf by Adolf Hitler; number three is Quotations from Chairman Mao by Mao Zedong; and number four is the Kinsey Report by Alfred Kinsey.
In Dewey’s above-mentioned book, he pompously disparaged schooling that focused on traditional character development and endowing children with hard knowledge. His views had great influence on the direction of American education, particularly in public schools, and helped nurture the Clinton generation.4
Dewey was one of the major writers that contributed to the Humanist Manifesto.
Dewey actually began his career in the elementary school system before returning to university to earn his PhD, after which he began teaching psychology. He held teaching positions at various universities in the US and was awarded four honorary doctorates from colleges and universities throughout the world. He was influential in many fields, but he had the most influence on the education system.

Before Dewey, the American education system was successful and reinforced Christianity. International journalist and educator Alex Newman who coauthored the book, Crimes of the Educators, sees Dewey as a main villain in a plot that been decades-long in the making to dumb down America’s population and bring on socialism.
Newman said of Dewey, “He wanted to move the United States away from what he considered to be an individualistic, Constitutional Republic where people are free to do as they like and worship God – the Christian nation that we had – and he wanted to move us more to kind of a Soviet-type system.”
Newman added that Dewey wanted to downplay the importance of literacy and focus on turning children into social animals who would work for the so-called “common good.” The effects have been catastrophic. “The kids cannot read their founding documents anymore. They can’t read the Word of God. They can’t think critically, and they rely almost exclusively on the government schools and the mainstream media for their information; and the fruits of this are obvious now. Our society’s falling apart all around us.”
“This is a global agenda,” Newman said. “It’s extremely sinister. They want to dumb down the American people and all of humanity for the purpose of attacking the word of God and building kind of a global society, they like to call it, and this is going to be an absolute nightmare.”
Newman warned parents to resist this agenda and remove their children from public schools – either homeschool them or find a good Christian school. If this isn’t possible, then at least opt them out of Common Core testing. “The government schools are destroying the children,” Newman warned. “Common Core is going to accelerate this, and the agenda is unimaginably sinister, and so people need to take action.”

In his research, Samuel Blumenfeld, author of many books on education, stumbled across quackery in the teaching of reading – dumbing down children so they can’t read. From the beginning of education in US schools, it was written in our legislation that children needed to learn to read the Bible and that it needed to be included in school curriculum. Such is the case no more.
This is not to disparage all teachers. Many do the best they can under the circumstances in which they’ve found themselves. But the education system today is a criminal enterprise. It is involved in:
Child abuse: deliberately harming the minds of children, even physically harming the brain itself.
Contributing to the delinquency of minors; pornographic sex “education.” UNESCO, a branch of the UN, recommends teaching sex education to four-year-olds.
Destroying belief in biblical religion: Schools promote atheism, nilhisim, humanism, Satanism, evolutionism, etc.
Drug Pushing: pushing amphetamines onto children for school-induced problems.
Fraud and extortion: They want more taxpayer dollars for education, yet they’re dumbing down the children.
Treason: deliberately dumbing down of the nation to overthrow our system of government and replacing it with a totalitarian system of government. In 1983, Ronald Reagan’s National Commission on Education report showed a failing education system. It stated that if any unfriendly foreign power had tried to impose this education system on America, we might have considered it an act of war.

The Commission also stated in 1983 that the education system threatens our future as a nation. Hundreds of years ago, reading and writing was strongly taught in schools, as was the Bible. By 1812 only four or less out of a thousand couldn’t read and write properly. Now look at today. A surprising number of students finish school unable to do either.
Homeschooling was the norm in early education. Most of our founding fathers were homeschooled; some had a little bit of formal education, yet they knew other languages, the history of political systems, science, economic thought… and the Bible. And we didn’t spend a trillion dollars on education.
Statistics today are unbelievable but true. Go to the US Department of Education’s website if you don’t believe it. Just a very small sampling of modern education from a Federal study showed:
In 1993, half of American adults could barely read. This was true again in a 2003 study.
Two thirds of residents over age 15 in Washington, D.C. are functionally illiterate.
Less than one third of students in 8th grade can read proficiently.
Every ten years they have to re-center the SAT’s to conceal the fact that students are getting dumber and dumber. The students considered smart today are actually in many cases dumber than the dumb students back in the 1950s and 60s.
Alex Newman has done studies from the late 1800s and early 1900s and has found that middle school students then were more educated than a lot of students coming out of today’s universities.
Educators call for more money to be spent on education, yet more money spent hasn’t improved things at all. It’s only worsening.
Horace Mann, after visiting Prussia, came up with the “Prussian Model” – whole-word memorization of words rather than using phonics. While this method worked for deaf students, it did not work well for hearing students. He also came up with the idea of government taking over the schools.
Getting back to John Dewey, he used our entire country as an experiment to overthrow the system and replace it with socialist kookery. He also re-introduced Mann’s whole-word theory of teaching reading (despite its proven failure), obviously as part of a dumbing-down process for his new order socialist agenda of collectivism. UNESCO also promotes this method, and it’s incredibly damaging to children’s brains.
A neuroscience study compared the brains of children who have been taught phonics to the ones who’ve been taught using the whole-word method, and there is a difference in the brains. The whole-word teaching is messing with the minds of the children—literally. And FYI: This study was done by a “progressive” neuroscientist who is okay with government-run schools, etc., but even he said that children need to go back to learning to read the correct way, using phonics.
Despite the knowledge of the damage sight-word reading does, Common Core teaches children to read this way. Now we have people who won’t pick up a book. They won’t read the Constitution or the Declaration of Independence. They won’t read the Bible, etc.
Dewey knew people would never agree to this insanity, so he promoted a gradual change – the frog in the pot comes to mind. It doesn’t realize the danger until the water gets hot.
Dewey went to the Soviet Union and thought Lenin was doing a great job. Imagine that. Useful idiot again comes to mind.
The Clintons involved themselves in bringing about more federal involvement in the schools with the national standards, and Obama imposed Common Core in the states using tax-funded bribes.
The two experts personally selected by the Common Core promoters to evaluate the subject matter of Common Core standards (presuming they’d go along with it given their beliefs) both refused to sign on to it:
One of them, Sandra Stotsky from Harvard, said this is going to reduce student’s critical thinking abilities, take out all the great literature, etc., – dumbing down the students by taking out the important things they need to know.
The other one, Dr. James Milligram, a well-known mathematician from Stanford, said the math was so confusing—this isn’t how you teach math. Some of it he said is based on incorrect math – all of this dumbing down the students.
Yet, Common Core is officially taught in most US states and D.C.
In Science, they’re indoctrinating students to buy into the global warming agenda. They’re teaching them that all humans and animals started out as rocks that were rained down on for millions of years to form slime from which eventually evolved into what we are now. So children don’t see any real value to their lives.
In History, they’re taught that America invented slavery, when in reality every country in the world practiced slavery, and America was one of the first to put an end to it here, and helped to end it around the world.
Lest one think this is just a problem in America, think again. It’s global.
UNESCO is even worse than Common Core. UNESCO was founded, admittedly, for the purpose of world government. Even as far back as 1949, they put out pamphlets indicating that schools need to combat family attitudes and family values. They advocate teaching even to 4-year-olds disgusting things that will “blow your mind.”
UNESCO and Bill Gates together have a World Core Curriculum whose standards are dedicated to Alice Bailey. Alice Bailey founded the Lucifer Publishing Company and writes New Age books. She claimed that “ascended masters” would “take her over” and she would write these books like Education in the New Age.
Arne Duncan, Obama’s education secretary for seven years, said UNESCO is his global partner and his global education agenda – a weapon to change the world, including “sustainability” [aka global warming – ruse for global governance, also Gaia “Mother Earth” nature worship] interjected into every component of the education system.
The current director general of UNESCO, Audrey Azoulay, is a Socialist. And the previous director general, Irena Bokova, is a Communist.
According to Audrey Azoulay, “None of the major challenges facing the world today can be met by any one country on its own without relying on the fundamental pillars of science, education and culture [in UNESCO’s view of what these fundamental pillars are]. Thus, UNESCO can and must fully participate in a world order based on multilateralism (global government) and humanist values (no belief in God).” – source
The previous UNESCO director general, Irina Bokova, was actively involved in the education system and also scientific cooperation for “sustainable” development [aka global warming agenda].

Yes, they’re literally everywhere – so-called intellectuals who are just “educated fools” ruining minds by the millions; “political prostitutes” from the Saul Alinsky school of thought,” adolescents in adult bodies in positions of authority (see Isaiah 3’s example of what is always the last stage in the fall of nations); foul-mouthed fanatical feminists; entertainment industry’s egotistical ignoramuses; mainstream medianite minions; and deceived sheeple slurping from the socialist silver platter, sucking this nation dry.
Sound harsh? So is what is happening to society. We need to stop being silent and instead speak out! Afraid of offending someone? Why? Aren’t we offended by what’s going on?
