Get Israel Wrong and You Go Mad

As Norman Bates watched his next victim eat a sandwich in the back room, he said something that should have made her run for the door.

“I think we all go a little mad sometimes.”

Well, not all of us.

That chilling thought, from a madman, seemed perfectly normal to him. Because he was anything but normal. He wasn’t Normal Norman. Ultimately, he was far from God, and that is always the thing that captures the vulnerable ones and drags them away.

I once again subjected myself to a Tucker Carlson podcast this week. His guest gave us two madmen to listen to, as they trashed the character of God’s People, the Jews. Specifically, Israel.

Carlson has been on a Jew-hating tour for many months now. Hard to believe he was, just a few months ago, laughing in photographs with Donald Trump. And just like that, he disappeared from the photo ops.

Carlson is what is known in some circles as a WASP—White Anglo-Saxon Protestant. Raised in Washington’s tony neighborhoods, he grew up among D.C. elite. It took me a few weeks this spring to figure out his brand of “conservatism,” but I was initially stunned by his anti-Israel agenda. It seemed to come out of nowhere.

The podcast interview, with guest Tony Aguilar, was a vicious diatribe wrapped in a freewheeling discussion. Discussion about an important subject, even debate, is healthy and normal. Irrational attacks on Israel are anything but normal.

Aguilar, a former Green Beret, attacked Israel’s Gaza policies again and again, while Carlson played his role as dispassionate journalist. He knows very well though how to lead a guest, especially one as biased as Aguilar. The latter insists that Israel is committing war crimes in Gaza, including purposely targeting civilians by shooting at them—even with tanks!

I always ask this question: as mindful of international opinion as Israel must be—always against the backdrop of Jew-hatred—why would they purposely murder Arabs? Of course that would be immoral, but let’s be crass and frank: it’s also horrible optics.

At one point, Carlson said that the things the IDF is doing is what got the Nazis hanged at Nuremberg. Get it? Israel adopts Nazi tactics, ergo, Israel is Nazi. How sick is this? It’s a common charge from Jew-haters around the world, but to accuse them of doing the same things the Nazis did to them is irrational. It’s not normal.

Aguilar’s charges have been responded to, offering a different perspective than he spewed with Carlson. Aguilar had been involved in food distribution in the Gaza Strip, but after his 86-minute rant on Carlson’s podcast, one wonders what his real agenda has been about. One comment stood out to me, because I think it has relevancy with Bible prophecy:

“The world is going to be far, far more interested in what’s going on, because I think the world has now taken the blinders off to now look.”

Aguilar was referencing the odious statements by the governments of France, the UK, and Germany, all promising to recognize a Palestinian state by September if Israel doesn’t “do better” in saving the lives of Arabs in Gaza. He disputed the fact that those people are Hamas. This despite the overwhelming video evidence, since 9/11, that the “Palestinian” Arabs despise the West and themselves engage in jihad. Many did on October 7, alongside active Hamas terrorists.

But Aguilar’s comment about recognition of a 23^rd Arab state in the Middle East is an indication that we are moving toward Armageddon. As you well know by now, I believe this will be the trigger: Israeli sovereignty especially in Jerusalem. Of course, Carlson does not understand eschatology at all, and completely misses the real historical role of the Jews.

At the end of the interview, Aguilar did the obligatory Yes, Hamas did bad things on October 7, but his heart wasn’t in it. Neither Jew-hater mentioned the hostages being tortured to this minute. It was all a narrative about the alleged brutality of Jews in the Middle East. Tragically, many undiscerning people that don’t really know what’s going on over there will believe the Middle Ages-level anti-Semitism Carlson promotes. It Ain’t Boring

Well, we can’t complain that nothing is going on and we’re just sitting around with nothing to do.

No, God decided that all of us would be living in one of the most amazing eras in all of history.

What do I mean? Oh, only that Israel is making noise about annexing Judea-Samaria, and France’s goofy “leader,” Emmanuel Macron, is ready to recognize a Palestinian state (out of thin air), and some Israeli government ministers are demanding that Jews re-settle Gaza.

How’s that for starters?

In addition, this week, after months of insane negotiations with Hamas devils courtesy of Qatar, President Trump appears ready to concede that no sane deal can be reached with terrorists. He said that Israel basically should get rid of Hamas. Trying to get the remaining live 20 hostages out will be complex and dangerous in the extreme. Israeli intelligence knows where they are, but the dilemma of course is that any rescue attempt would see the hostages simply murdered as the IDF closes-in. But at this point, is there any other way? Of course, when you’re dealing with Israel—legendary pager gifters—anything is possible. They definitely have things up their sleeves no one knows exists.

(It was also revealed this week that Israeli combat experience, particularly that recently gained by the IAF on its hundreds of sorties, is providing the U.S. with invaluable data and research that will save us 10-20 years gathering! It amounts to potentially $100 billion per year in intelligence value alone, leaving the idiots that bemoan us giving Israel maybe $5 billion a year in aid looking dumber than usual.)

To the issue of Israel resettling Gaza—I’m all for it—this is coming from the Jewish sovereignty wing of the Knesset. I suspect more moderate leaders, including Netanyahu, share the same private views.

“Heritage Minister Amichai Eliyahu suggested Israel is planning to resume Jewish settlement in Gaza in Thursday morning interview on Kol Barama radio.

“’The government is rushing to erase Gaza, and thank God we are erasing this evil. All of Gaza will be Jewish,’ Eliyahu said in the interview.

“Eliyahu’s remarks reflect rhetoric from far-right figures in Israeli politics, led by Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich. On Tuesday, Smotrich participated in the ‘Riviera in Gaza – From Vision to Reality’ conference at the Knesset, where a ‘practical’ plan was presented to establish a lasting Jewish presence in the Gaza Strip.

“During the conference, Smotrich revealed, ‘The chief of staff told me a week ago that the northern border of the Gaza Strip needs to be annexed for security reasons.’ The event’s organizers claimed they had outlined ‘social, legal, security, and logistical models’ for the settlement proposal but refrained from providing further details.

At the same time, France’s government has agreed to offer citizenship to any Arab in Gaza that wants to leave. This of course amounts to a bizarre form of national suicide, something no sane person can understand. Why is France willing to bring-in an alien, hostile body into its national life? Before I give you the answer, remember that the French years ago welcomed in the most radical jihadists, which have now taken over swaths of French territory, including entire suburbs in Paris. I personally believe Macron is being paid obscene amounts of money to do things like this, but France has never made “manly” decisions to protect its own citizens.

As to why they are doing this, on an overall scale?

They are far from God.

The Bible tells us quite clearly that a human mind that does not acknowledge God is damaged in such a way that clear thinking is no longer an option for warding off danger.

“But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear” (Isaiah 59:2)

A reprobate mind is a scary proposition.

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. (Romans 1:28-32)

France is all this and more.

Imagine that you live adjacent to a nation full of criminals and rabid gangs. Now, your leaders want to plant that rabble in your neighborhood. That is what France is doing in endangering the population by bringing in those deranged Arabs the world calls Palestinians. The whole culture is radicalized, for generations.

We are seeing the outlines of amazing things yet to come. As always, let’s guard against setting hard-and-fast timelines and potential scenarios. It’s enough that we have Scripture as our guide, and eyes to see and ears to hear.

The world is hurtling toward the conclusion God set for it long ago.

And we are privileged to see it.
