Mind-blowing, staggering, senseless, mindless, and just plain old unbelievable is the astonishing foolishness of the godless.
Who are the godless, and how do we know that they are godless?
There are basically two kinds of godlessness.
One type is called atheism and is embodied by people who openly admit that they want no part of any belief in God. For example, those Democrats who attended the Democratic Convention in 2016, who all together rejected any mention of God at their convention. For those readers who recall, thousands of attendees stood up and vehemently made it known that any mention of God would not be tolerated at their convention. That included asking God to bless America.
Some of those rejectors of God will still claim to be Christians who believe in God, but God Himself says, “They shall be known by their fruits.”
That would also include the Rino Brigade. The Rinos pretend to have conservative values but, in reality, are hardcore leftists full of treachery and betrayal. Republican In Name Only (Rino).
Common sense tells us that the Democrats demanding that God be altogether expelled from their political party and kicked out of their club, so to speak, are not the “fruits” you would expect from true believers.
Leftists who refer to themselves as democratic socialists, communists, secularists, humanists, and evolutionists are atheistic people who generally do not believe in an intelligent creator who is also known as God.
Especially if any reference is made to Jesus as being the Son of God.
To an atheist, any number of unprovable and often completely ridiculous man-made theories regarding the origin of man is preferable to the notion that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, as well as an accurate account of history here on planet Earth.
A second type of godlessness is practiced by millions and millions of human beings who believe in one or more of a plethora of false gods.
In the Old Testament, false gods are ridiculed by God Himself through His Prophets. Ridiculed as useless figments of the satanically deceived imaginations of humans, and useless is what they literally are.
Except to Satan.
They are very useful to that bent one and his ongoing deceptions. Ongoing deceptions starting in the Garden of Eden and continuing to this day with great success in regard to deceiving the lost into rejecting the One True God.
The one and only One True God, who is capable of actually saving the deceived unbelievers from Satan, and from themselves.
Painting a face on a large boulder or a wooden carving and naming it Baal or Molech and then building temples where people gather to worship it and pray to it and sacrifice their children to it does not make it God. Also, it doesn’t make it a god or anything remotely resembling the actual One True God, aka the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Isaiah 41:21-23 records the Lord our God issuing a challenge to those who believed in idols and false gods.
“The Lord, the king of Jacob, says, ‘Come, present your arguments. Show me your proof. Let your idols come in and tell us what will happen. Idols, tell us what happened in the beginning. We will listen closely so we can make a decision. Tell us what will happen in the future. What signs did you give in the past to prove that you really are gods?
“Do something! Do anything, good or bad, so that we can see that you are alive. Then we might fear and respect you.'”
Verse 24 adds this: “Look, you false gods are worthless. You cannot do anything. Only some horrible fool would want to worship you.”
Another popular group of false gods are the various nature gods and celestial gods such as the sun or the moon. Fertility goddesses complete with debased temple prostitution rituals and war-like moon gods who convert with threats and at the tip of a sword. Such as these have been embraced by deceived lovers of sin and violence throughout history.
The deceived being those who prefer worshiping things that were created rather than worshiping the One who created them.
The deceived, like the folks that believe that if you ask the universe to provide something for you, it will.
Even though the universe is 100% impersonal, as it is a created place and as incapable of hearing or helping you as a rock with a face painted on it.
“Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and do not lean on your own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5).
The above proverb is the antithesis of what Satan convinced Eve of in the Garden. Eve was deceived into believing that she could become like God and to know all about good and evil through her own understanding. She then shared this faulty logic with Adam, and together, they partook in the most infamous meal of all time.
Since then, millions and millions of souls have fallen for this exact same deception.
“The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice” (Proverbs 12:15)
“One who is wise is cautious and turns away from evil, but a fool is reckless and careless” (Proverbs 14:16).
“For although they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks to Him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools” (Romans 1:21-22).
Speaking to Timothy about what the deceived would be like in the last days just before the return of Jesus, Paul said this: “Having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof.”
The 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony offered to the whole world a portrait of such foolishness when a troupe of drag queens posed together in mimicry of Leonardo Da Vinci’s portrait of Jesus with His disciples at the Last Supper.
The drag queens posed together along the runway in open mockery and blatant blasphemy of the Lord Jesus and His disciples.
This was an insult as well to all who call Jesus their Lord and Savior.
One of the drag queens offered an unbiblical explanation about how they were just trying to be inclusive.
In the words of the Apostle Paul, “Claiming to be wise, they became fools” (Romans 1:21-22).
Galatians 6:7 offers this gem of wisdom to those who mock. “God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”
The level of foolishness continues to sink to places of degradation that were not thought possible just 20 or 30 years ago.
Officials at the upper rungs of power in America and the entire Western world who are unable to define what a woman is, and who are convinced that a man can become pregnant with child, and are even incapable of answering simple yes or no questions, are examples of how the prince of the power of the air, aka Satan, is able to destroy minds as well capture souls.
The social media is Satan’s new most favorite tool to create a fool. Or, even whole armies of fools.
This side of the Rapture, an escape route from the slime pit of foolishness still exists, but it requires giving up on the original deception, which is the idea of “leaning on your own understanding.”
Escaping from the slime pit of foolishness requires believing in, trusting in, and turning your life over to Jesus Christ. With the help of the Holy Spirit, Jesus will cleanse your heart, renew your mind, and lead you to the truth in all things. Jesus will introduce you to His Father as your Heavenly Father. He will help you to understand that it is only He that can do this, for He is the Way and the Truth and the Life, and there is no other name under all of heaven whereby you or me or anyone at all can be saved.
In Romans 10:9-10, Paul speaks these words of Godly advice and pure truth to all who are seeking to leave foolishness behind, receive the gift of salvation, and begin the pursuit of wisdom:
“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”
Saved from foolishness, saved from futile thinking, saved from performing acts of blasphemy, saved from a mind filled with mockery, and saved from the deception that causes a person to think they are smarter than He who created them.
The truth will set you free (John 8:32).
Jesus is the truth, and it is He who will indeed set you free.

It hurts for me to say this; with deep sorrow, I must report that some of these jobless men on the street have succumbed to the devil and will ultimately end up in hell. Stop and think about that for a minute at least.
