When It Stops, Part II: Coming Banking & Dollar Collapse :: By Travis Karnes

“Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit…” (Revelation 18:2, KJV).

Beloved brethren, the signs of the times are unmistakable. As we draw nearer to the Lord’s return, the fragile foundations of this world’s economic system are crumbling before our eyes. The great American financial illusion—sustained by endless money creation, runaway government debt, and the dollar’s fading dominance—stands on the brink of catastrophic collapse. When the music stops, the banking system and the once-mighty dollar will fall in a judgment that will eclipse the crises of 2008 and beyond. This is no mere economic forecast but a sobering alignment with biblical prophecy.

The Roots of Monetary Idolatry

For decades, clear voices have exposed central banking as a mechanism that enriches the elite while impoverishing the many through inflation and distorted markets. The U.S. national debt has ballooned to a staggering $39.4 trillion as of mid-July 2026. Interest payments alone now exceed $1 trillion annually, devouring nearly 19% of federal outlays and surpassing defense spending.

America’s consumer-credit economy rests precariously on the dollar’s reserve currency status—a privilege rapidly eroding. The BRICS factor has become a decisive accelerant in this shift. Nations within the expanding BRICS alliance (and its partners) are aggressively de-dollarizing, hoarding gold at record levels (with prices surging toward $4,000–$4,850 per ounce), forging alternative payment systems, and settling trade in local currencies or gold.

Central banks worldwide, led by these powers, are accumulating the yellow metal to shield against sanctions, reduce dollar dependence, and build a parallel financial architecture. This organized move away from the greenback undermines America’s ability to finance its deficits effortlessly and signals the twilight of dollar hegemony.

Chronic trade deficits, offshoring of industry, and trillions in dollar assets held abroad could trigger a run at any moment. The Scriptures warn us plainly:

“The love of money is the root of all evil…” (1 Timothy 6:10, KJV).

We have built a modern Babylon on fiat currency, debt, and greed.

The Fragile Banking House of Cards

Our banking system is a leveraged illusion founded on fractional reserves, accounting tricks, and the false promise of perpetual government backstops. Unrealized losses linger on balance sheets. Commercial real estate (CRE) faces a devastating reckoning, with stress tests projecting up to a 39% drop in CRE prices, 30% in residential housing, unemployment spiking to 10%, and equities plunging over 50% in a severe downturn.

When confidence evaporates—triggered by major defaults, liquidity freezes, or derivative cascades—the “when it stops” moment will unleash panic. The deposit insurance system stands unprepared for systemic failure. Exponential debt growth, zombie corporations, rising consumer delinquencies, and interconnected risks point to an imminent reckoning.

“For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them…” (1 Thessalonians 5:3, KJV).

Accelerating Catastrophic Trends

Several converging crises hasten this judgment:

Fiscal and Monetary Suicide
Persistent deficits near 7% of GDP, coupled with political refusal to cut spending or reform entitlements, ensure the debt compounds relentlessly. Interest costs crowd out essential functions, creating a vicious doom loop.

Geopolitical and De-dollarization Storm
Wars, sanctions, and global fragmentation have accelerated the shift away from the dollar. The BRICS factor amplifies this dramatically, as the bloc and its allies control a growing share of global gold reserves and are actively developing new trade and financial frameworks. A rapid loss of reserve status would trigger soaring import prices, higher borrowing costs, and profound economic pain across the United States.

Asset Bubbles and Social Fracture
Elevated markets detached from reality, housing unaffordability, and widening inequality fuel unrest. Financial collapse often precedes societal breakdown—empty shelves, loss of trust, and chaos.

Supply, Energy, and Demographic Pressures
Tariffs, energy shocks, aging populations, and unfunded liabilities in the hundreds of trillions compound the fragility. Policymakers face an impossible bind: defend the dollar at the cost of recession, or ease and invite hyperinflation.

These trends are not random but fulfill the pattern of end-times prophecy. Revelation 18 describes the fall of a great commercial empire:

“For in one hour so great riches is come to nought” (Revelation 18:17, KJV).

The Dollar’s Inevitable Demise

The dollar will not disappear overnight but through a progressive loss of confidence—rising yields, Treasury sell-offs, and spiraling inflation. Hyperinflation risks loom as monetization becomes the desperate escape. Savings will evaporate. Pensions and insurance giants, laden with vulnerable assets, will falter. The middle class will suffer most, as the hidden tax of inflation punishes the prudent.

We forsook the gold standard for Keynesian fantasies. The dollar has lost over 98% of its purchasing power since the creation of the modern central banking system. Scripture admonishes:

“A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight” (Proverbs 11:1, KJV).

A Call to Biblical Preparedness and Repentance

There is no painless exit from this man-made crisis, but denial guarantees greater judgment. We must advocate for sound money, fiscal restraint, and limited government aligned with biblical principles of stewardship and justice. Individuals and families should prepare with tangible assets, practical skills, strong communities, and above all, unwavering faith in Christ.

As believers watching for the Rapture, let us not be entangled in earthly treasures. Our hope is not in crumbling financial systems but in the soon return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven…” (Matthew 6:19-20, KJV).

The storm is not approaching—it rages now. Heed the warnings of the watchmen and, more importantly, the infallible Word of God. Repent, watch, and be ready. The King is coming!

“And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh” (Luke 21:28, KJV).

Stupidocrisy: When History Waves a Red Flag :: By Bill Wilson

President Donald Trump recently warned at the NATO summit that communism is spreading internationally, arguing that it promises people everything while ultimately delivering poverty and oppression.

At nearly the same time, candidates aligned with the Democratic Socialists of America continued gaining influence inside the Democratic Party, bringing ideas once considered far outside America’s political mainstream into everyday debate.

Whether Americans agree with Trump’s warning or not, every citizen should pause and ask a simple question: When an ideology has repeatedly failed wherever it has been tried, why would anyone believe the next version will produce a different result?

The Democratic Socialists of America openly advocate major economic restructuring, expanded public ownership in key sectors, and a platform rooted in socialist principles.

America’s free enterprise system rests on private property, entrepreneurship, voluntary exchange, and the opportunity for individuals to build wealth through hard work and innovation.

Socialism shifts economic authority toward government, reducing private ownership and market competition. The former Soviet Union, Mao’s China, Cuba, Venezuela, and North Korea each promised equality while producing shortages, restricted freedoms, economic decline, and political repression. Centralized control has repeatedly concentrated power while limiting individual liberty. This resulted in the deaths of over 100 million people in the 20th century alone.

America learned this lesson long before Marx ever published a word. The Pilgrims at Plymouth Colony initially operated under a communal system requiring everyone to work for the common storehouse. The results proved disappointing. Some worked diligently while others contributed less, yet everyone received the same share. Governor William Bradford later wrote that the arrangement bred discontent, discouraged industry, and reduced productivity.

Facing hardship and the threat of starvation, Bradford assigned families their own parcels of land, allowing them to enjoy the fruits of their own labor. Production immediately increased. Families planted more, harvested more, and the colony prospered because personal responsibility replaced compulsory collectivism. The lesson still echoes across four centuries of American history.

Every election ultimately becomes a choice about first principles. Do we trust free people to build, create, invest, serve, and prosper through honest work, or do we place greater confidence in centralized government to direct economic life?

America has produced unprecedented prosperity because freedom and responsibility have traveled together. When either disappears, both suffer. Healthy debate strengthens a republic, but wisdom requires remembering where certain roads have already led.

History is one of God’s greatest teachers for those willing to learn. As the Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Thessalonians 3:10, “For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat.”

Whatever the odds, it’s always worth standing for the truth. Promoting socialism in America is, say it with me, Stupidocrisy.
