Reprobate Minds in Diplomacy
Biden—the illegitimate occupant of the White House—has signaled this week that he is in the pocket of our enemies. And it affects Israel and her immediate neighbors. From a Jerusalem Post report:
“The US is moving up to eight Patriot air defense batteries from key countries in the Middle East, according to a Wall Street Journal Report Friday. The report calls it a “major realignment” of the US military footprint, potentially affecting Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Jordan, key US partners in the region. This means it also could affect Israel. Air defense batteries are key to protecting countries against Iranian missiles and other threats. Removing them, and their radar, has far-reaching ramifications if the reports are accurate.”
Now, Iraq has been and will be problematic for Israel; the situation is different there with clerics and corrupt political leaders holding sway. But several other countries mentioned in that paragraph are either pragmatic “friends” of the Jewish state in the current climate, or have mutual interests.
The main mutual interest of course is preventing Iran from blowing them all up.
One has to conclude from Democrat leaders in this country that they must literally be paid off by the mullahs to make disastrous decisions. This can be the only explanation for John Kerry doing shuttle diplomacy even when Trump was in power!
For Biden and his henchmen/women to pull life-saving missile batteries out of the Middle East is unconscionable. By the way, in a practical sense, this is where we as believing Christians can implore the Lord to thwart such plans. This is a daily thing we can do to help.
Ostensibly, Biden’s team intends to “focus” more effort on challenges from Russia and China. However, this is curious when one realizes those countries are helping Iran with weapons and radar technologies.
One of the antimissile systems, Thaad, is being considered for removal, along with jet fighter squadrons…at exactly the same moment Iran is stepping up attacks in Iraq and elsewhere, seeking to harm US interests. It’s baffling…unless you believe Biden is corrupt.
Further, according to the Post:
“For Israel, the implications could loom large. If enemies of the US take the drawdown to mean the US is not committed to the region they may test the US and partner countries. Israel recently did a joint F-35 training with Italy, the UK and US in Italy, the first deployment of the Israeli F-35s abroad. Israel did three joint drills with US F-35s from Al-Dhafra base last year, called Enduring Lightning.”
The Saudis are nervous and with good reason.
And with a brand new government in Israel, one littered with left-wing and worse factions, Bibi Netanyahu is no longer there as a deterrent. Just like Trump. This environment is ripe for Iran to take advantage.
Again, it is our duty and privilege to pray for Israel (and her neighbors) that the plans of the enemy will come to naught. It’s happened over and over and over again, for thousands of years.
