The Way, The Truth, The Life :: By Nathele Graham

If you talk to most people, they’ll tell you that they will go to a “better place” when they die. They can’t tell you what that better place is or where it’s located, but they’re sure it will be where their friends are. When you press them on the subject, you’ll find out that, in their opinion, they will spend eternity in that wonderful place because they think they’ve been good enough.

By human standards, they may be very good and kind, but God doesn’t judge by human standards. By human standards, I’m not too bad. I don’t cuss, I occasionally do something nice for someone, and when I fall short of God’s standard of perfection, I can usually logically excuse my actions. If measured by human standards, I’m no worse than anyone else. It isn’t human standards we must meet; it’s God’s perfection that is our standard. By God’s standard, I’m not “just as good as the other guy,” but I am just as bad.

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

Now that I think about it, I fail quite often in my walk with the Lord. I’m sure you do, too.

“O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin” (Romans 7:24-25).

I’m not a man; I’m a woman, but the cry is the same.

Sin is very serious in God’s eyes. God loves every person who has ever lived, but right from the beginning, mankind rebelled against God’s rules.

“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth” (Genesis 1:1).

He started with nothing, then created everything. The first thing He spoke into existence was light.

“And God said, Let there be light: and there was light” (Genesis 1:3).

There wasn’t a long period of time as light evolved. One moment there was darkness, and the next moment there was light.

“And God saw the light that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day” (Genesis 1:4-5).

Each new day brought new wonders that God created. On the second day, He divided the waters and put the firmament of Heaven above the waters. Then, on the third day, He brought forth the dry land and gathered the water into Seas. The earth was to bring forth grass and herbs and fruit trees all after its kind. On the fourth day, it was time to gather the light.

“And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning was the fourth day” (Genesis 1:16-19).

When we read of the two great lights, the word is “ma’or.” This holds the light, like a lantern or a candlestick. Now, it was time to fill creation with living things such as fish, whales, birds, and every living creature.

“And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. And the evening and the morning were the fifth day” (Genesis 1:22-23).

In order to be “fruitful and multiply,” there had to be male and female of each creature. They were all to procreate after their own kind. Fish weren’t to mate with birds, and sheep weren’t to crossbreed with horses. God wanted no genetic tampering.

Then came the sixth day. All things were ready for God’s ultimate creation: humans.

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth” (Genesis 1:27-28).

Don’t let anybody tell you that you aren’t a special creation of God. Humans were made in God’s image and aren’t just another animal. You didn’t evolve from goo, but Adam was created in God’s image. God created a male, and then a female was taken from Adam.

Today, we have some very deceived people who think they are “non-binary,” meaning they are neither male nor female, but opt for “other.” There are some who are deceived into thinking that a genetic male is really a female, or a genetic female thinks she’s a male. Then artificial hormones and body mutilation happen, and truth is turned into lies. That is a delusion and a lie from the father of lies, Satan. A doctor can tell if a baby is male or female long before birth, but now children who are barely potty trained are allowed to choose their gender, even though they can’t be trusted to cross the street alone.

Creation was finished, and God rested from His work. He had created everything needed for life to continue. Adam and Eve lived in the Garden of Eden, and the beauty there must have been something to behold. It wasn’t tainted by sin, and everything was new and fresh. There was no death.

“And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day” (Genesis 1:31).

When God says it’s good, then it’s good. There were many trees for food, but the fruit of one tree was dangerous for Adam to eat.

“And the LORD God commanded the man saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die” (Genesis 2:17).

The command was given to Adam prior to Eve being created, and Adam was entrusted with teaching God’s word to Eve. Adam loved her from the moment he saw her, but Satan was already plotting his lies to deceive Eve.

How long did they live in the Garden? How long until Eve chatted with the serpent? A week? A year? Scripture doesn’t say, but the tactic that Satan used was the same tactic he uses today… lies and deception. God’s words are twisted to make God look bad and seem as if He only wants to ruin all your fun. In truth, God’s rules are in place for our protection. Adam ate the Forbidden Fruit, and death entered into creation, just as God said. Adam and Eve were expelled from the Garden, and life has been a struggle ever since.

God didn’t lie to them; Satan did. Why is it that people still believe Satan’s lies instead of God’s truth?

God didn’t stop loving Adam, Eve, and their descendants. He had a plan for salvation, and it took many years to bring that plan about. Study both the Old Testament and the New to understand God’s plan for redemption.

“And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit” (1 Corinthians 15:45).

Death came through Adam, but life comes through Jesus Christ.

“For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at the coming” (1 Corinthians 15:22-23).

Every human is under the curse of death. Our bodies grow old and wear out. We die. For those of us who have chosen to place our faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, it’s only our body that dies. Our spirit will live eternally with Him. Going back to the first paragraph above, when I think I’m a nice person and good enough to live eternally, I’m wrong. I’ve sinned, and even one tiny sinful thought is enough to condemn a person to eternal death. God’s standard is perfection.

“And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression” (1 Timothy 2:14).

Adam sinned by choice, and all of Adam’s children will die, but God chose to step into His creation to offer us eternal life. Only through true faith in Christ can we be made alive for eternity.

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: which were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God” (John 1:12-13).

Jesus was God incarnate. He gave His life for our salvation. There is no other way.

Today, people are still being deceived by the same old lies that Eve listened to. Satan twists God’s truth, and people believe him. He tells us that all roads lead to Heaven, so go ahead and participate in yoga and open yourself up to the kundalini spirit (a demon), or empty your mind in meditation so any passing demon will take up residence. Satan would like us to believe that Mormons, Muslims, and Eastern beliefs are all the same as Christianity and that all roads lead to God. Does Jesus agree? Jesus told His disciples that He was going to His Father’s house but would return one day.

“And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know” (John 14:4).

Jesus was headed to Jerusalem where He knew He would be crucified… the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. He wasn’t talking about the disciples following Him there. He was talking about following Him to eternity. There is no other way to eternal life than through true faith in Jesus. Thomas wasn’t sure what Jesus meant, so He asked. Jesus answered Him with very reassuring words.

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6).

There is no other way. If you think you can make it to Heaven by being “good enough,” you are wrong… dead wrong. There is only one way, and that is through the righteousness of Christ.

“And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith” (Philippians 3:9).

Adam’s sin caused death to enter creation, but today, we have a solution to that sin. Adam made a choice, and so must we. We must choose to receive Christ for salvation.

Don’t be lost for eternity. Find salvation through Jesus Christ because He is the only way, the only truth, and the only life.

God bless you all,

Nathele Graham

Trumpets :: By Daymond Duck

There is a possibility that this article will be posted on Rosh Hashanah (the Feast of Trumpets), so I felt led to mention a few things the Bible says about Trumpets.

While the Hebrews were wandering in the wilderness, God told Moses to make 2 trumpets of silver.

God told Moses to blow the trumpets:

  • To signal the people to assemble,
  • To signal the people to march,
  • To signal the people at times of war,
  • To announce the feast days and sacrifices (Num. 10:1-10).

He told Moses what Feast days to observe, when to observe them, and why they should observe them (Lev. 23).

BLOW THE TRUMPETS TO ASSEMBLE

  • God said, “when they shall blow with them, all the assembly shall assemble themselves to thee at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation” (Num. 10:3).

BLOW THE TRUMPETS TO MARCH

  • God said, “Make thee two trumpets of silver . . . for the journeying of the camps” (Num. 10: 2).
  • When Moses wanted the Jews to move to a new location, they were to start moving at the sound of a trumpet.

BLOW TRUMPETS FOR WAR

  • God said, “If ye go to war . . . blow the trumpets and I will remember you” (Num. 10:9).
  • At Jericho, God told Joshua to march around the city once each day for 6 days and have priests blow rams’ horns (shofars or trumpets; Josh. 6:1-27).
  • He told them to do it 7 times on the seventh day, and on the seventh time, the walls of Jericho fell.

BLOW TRUMPETS FOR FEASTS AND SACRIFICES

  • God said, “in the day of your gladness . . . Ye shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices” (Num. 10:10).
  • Trumpets were blown to show that the Feast Days and sacrifices were special days and events, not ordinary days and events.
  • They are special because they point to God and Jesus.

TRUMPETS AND THE VOICE OF GOD

  • The Israelites heard the voice of the trumpet when God came down to give them the Ten Commandments at Mt. Sinai (Ex. 19:16).
  • When John saw Jesus on the Isle of Patmos, he heard a voice like a trumpet (Rev. 1:10).
  • When John was called up into heaven, he heard a voice as of a trumpet (Rev. 4:1).

TRUMPETS WHEN DECEASED CHRISTIANS ARE RAISED

  • Paul said, “the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first” (I Thess. 4:16).

AN OLD TESTAMENT PICTURE OF THE NEW TESTAMENT RAPTURE

  • Moses led the Jews to Mt. Sinai (Ex. 19:1).
  • God told Moses He would come down in a thick cloud to meet the people (Ex. 19:9-11).
  • Jesus will come down in the clouds to meet His people at the Rapture (I Thess. 4:16).
  • God wanted the Jews to hear His voice at Mt. Sinai (Ex. 19-9).
  • Jesus will shout, and His people will hear His voice at the Rapture (I Thess. 4:16).

BACK TO MT. SINAI (THREE DAYS LATER)

  • “There were thunderings and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud” (Ex. 19:16).
  • “And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God” Ex. 19:17).
  • At the Rapture, the church will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air (I Thess. 4:17).

THE LAST TRUMP OR GREAT BLAST

  • “Mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.  And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice” (Ex. 19:18-19).
  • The last blast of the trumpet was the longest and loudest.
  • I have read that some of the religious Jews call that last blast the “last trump” or the “great blast.”

ASSEMBLE AT THE DOOR

  • When the trumpets were blown a certain way in the wilderness, the Jews were to assemble at the door of the tabernacle (Ex. 19:13).
  • When Jesus blows the trumpet, the Church will assemble in the air and go to the door of heaven (I Thess. 4:13-18; Rev. 4:1).

(More: The Feasts of Passover, Unleavened Bread, and First Fruits foretold the gospel (the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus). Not all agree, but many prophecy teachers believe the Feasts of Pentecost and Trumpets foretell the beginning and end of the Church Age, also called the beginning and end of the Age of Grace.)

Here are some events that seem to indicate that we are getting close to the Rapture.

One, concerning trumpets: to alert the Jews that something terrible is about to happen, God told the prophet Joel to “Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand; A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations” (Joel 2:1-2).

The day of the Lord refers to the Tribulation Period.

The blowing of the trumpet is to get the people’s attention (to get people to listen).

On Sept. 10, 2023, Rabbi Yehuda Glick (of Temple Mount fame) blew a trumpet on the Mount of Olives in honor of God, the sovereign Creator who created the world in six days (the King to whom everyone on earth is accountable).

Glick was troubled by the fact that political considerations prevented him from blowing the trumpet on the Temple Mount, so he chose a spot that allowed him to see where the Temple once stood.

(My opinion: One purpose of the prophetic signs that are shaping up in the world today is to warn the world that the Tribulation Period is close. I suppose people can debate whether Glick blowing a trumpet on the Mount of Olives is a warning or not, but it seems to me that people need to listen to those who are saying the Tribulation Period is close. This is not the first time religious Jews have done this, but it is not unusual for God to give several warnings before He acts.)

Two, concerning peace and safety in the Middle East: on Sept. 6, 2023, it was reported that U.S. Sec. of State Antony Blinken has:

  • Held more discussions with the Saudis about a defense agreement between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia (to protect Saudi Arabia against Iran) that would include a peace agreement between Saudi Arabia and Israel.
  • Held more discussions with Israel and pledged that the U.S. will continue to support “policies that ensure freedom, security (safety), and prosperity for Israelis and Palestinians alike.”

(Note: A breakthrough doesn’t seem imminent, but the discussions are heating up, and there have been several reports that an agreement could come as soon as early 2024. I am not predicting it, but it is possible that a declaration of peace and safety could be shaping up.)

Three, concerning the globalist desire to reduce the population of the earth: on Sept. 6, 2023, Tedros Ghebreyesus, Director General of the World Health Org. (WHO), said Covid is here to stay, and we need tools to fight it.

Even though hundreds of highly qualified doctors, scientists, and educators say the jab is causing people to get sick and die, the WHO is still urging people to get tested, get vaccinated (even if they recently received one), wear a mask, and practice social distancing.

The WHO is still seeking the authority to decide what constitutes a pandemic, to declare one, and to force everyone on earth to obey their instructions.

(Note: I believe abortion, homosexuality, and euthanasia are part of the plan to reduce the population of the earth. Open borders and the free flow of drugs that are killing millions may also be part of it. Denying the use of drugs that could save lives—Ivermectin, Hydroxychloroquine, etc.—during the Covid crisis could be part of it. Moving Covid patients from hospitals could be part of it. Children in the U.S. have died suddenly following an mRNA vaccination for Covid, and some people still want to force it on children.)

Four, concerning natural disasters: on Sept. 9, 2023, a powerful 6.8 earthquake (the most powerful to strike North Africa in 120 years) struck Morrocco, killing more than 1,000 people and leaving many injured and missing.

The toll is expected to rise as rescuers start digging through the rubble.

(Update: On Sept. 12, 2023, the confirmed death toll topped 2,900, and more than 5,500 have been injured.)

Five, concerning natural disasters: on Sept. 10, 2023, a Mediterranean cyclone called Daniel struck the coast of Libya.

On Sept. 12, 2023, officials said it busted dams, washed away entire neighborhoods, killed more than 5,300 people, and left more than 10,000 missing.

Six, concerning an increase in the frequency and intensity of natural disasters: on Sept. 11, 2023, it was reported that Hurricane Idalia, which struck Florida in August 2023, was the 23rd billion-dollar weather disaster in the U.S. this year.

The previous record of 22 was broken with four months to go.

Seven, concerning the ability to track all buying and selling: it is common knowledge that the U.S. government can locate anyone’s cellphone.

On Oct. 4, 2023, at 2:20 p.m., the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) intends to send a text message (its second time to do this) to every consumer cell phone in the U.S.

The purpose is to test America’s Emergency Alert System (EAS), but the ability to contact every consumer cell phone in the U.S. at the same time is a clear signal that the ability to track everyone is shaping up.

Eight, concerning world government and a global ID: on Sept. 10, 2023, at a G-20 meeting in India, EU Commission Pres. Ursula von der Leyen said the future of the world will be digital, so the world needs:

  • International digital ID systems.
  • More globalist institutions to set boundaries and regulations.
  • Global digital infrastructures along the lines of the coronavirus passport system.

For whatever it is worth, the unelected Antichrist will come out of the Revived Roman Empire (the EU), and the current unelected president of the EU is calling for more global laws.

Nine, concerning the Battle of Gog and Magog: after reporting that Israel has obstructed 27 Iranian terror attacks on Israel in 2023, the head of Israel’s intelligence agency said (Sept. 10, 2023):

  • “The time has come to exact a price from Iran. Any harm done to any Israeli or Jew in any way whatsoever, and I mean in any way whatsoever, via proxy or Iranian alike, will elicit a response against the Iranians who dispatched the terrorists and the policymakers who authorized the terror units to carry out the plots, from the bottom all the way up to the top. I mean what I say. The price will be exacted from deep inside Iran, in the heart of Tehran.”

Both sides have been making threats for years, but Iranian proxies are now attacking inside Israel, and the IDF is threatening to go after Iranian leaders deep inside Iran.

If Israel carries out that threat, the Battle of Gog and Magog could break loose.

FYI: God does not send anyone to Hell (all of us are born with a sin nature and destined to go to Hell because we sin), but God has provided a way (Jesus) for everyone to go to Heaven (and He is the only way to get there; John 14:6).

Finally, are you Rapture Ready?

If you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this.
