Looking At Seeds Again :: By Dennis Huebshman

Over the past several weeks, we’ve heard about mass revivals, multiple group baptisms, and a turning to the Lord on a large scale. Apparently, this is due to the assassination of Christian Charley Kirk. While this initially appears wonderful, now would be a good time to review the parable of the sower of the seeds in Mathew 13:1-23. (ESV – all emphasis is mine)

Matthew 13:3-8; “And He told them many things in parables, saying, ‘A sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seeds fell along the path, and birds came and devoured them. Other seeds fell on rocky ground, where they did not have much soil, and immediately they sprang up, since they had no depth of soil, but when the sun rose, they were scorched. And since they had no root, they withered away. Other seeds fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked them. Other seeds fell on good soil, and produced grain, some a hundred fold, some sixty, some thirty.”

Further in the chapter, Jesus explains what each of the four locations represents in relation to receiving and accepting Him as Savior.

Matthew 13:19-23: “’When anyone hears the word of the Kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is what was sown along the path. As for what was sown on rocky ground, this is the one who hears the Word and immediately receives it with joy, yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while, and when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the Word, he falls away. As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the Word, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the Word, and it proves unfruitful. As for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the Word and understands it. He indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty.”’

Meanwhile, at the same time, the other side of the issue is making itself obvious. There are people of different walks of life who are practically rejoicing that the murder took place. Some television personalities, school teachers, and other professionals are making comments that they are glad he is no longer with us. They are shocked when they are reprimanded by their supervisors like never before. In a different time, they would be applauded for their negativity.

With all that has taken place since that horrible day, it will be interesting to see how the “seeds” progress as time passes.

The “path” people will most likely take will show no signs of any changes in their lives, as they are more concerned with day-to-day existence on this earth rather than considering their forever home. They are on the wide and easy pathway leading to destruction.

Jesus explained this in Matthew 7:13-14: “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide, and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow, and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.”

Up until September of 10 this year, there had been a notable shift taking place in the world, leading away from anything that carried a Christian label. It was easier to go along with the world than to consider receiving and accepting Jesus as Savior. This shift started in earnest just a little over a decade ago and has been getting stronger each day.

The concept of “many ways to Heaven” and that Jesus isn’t really necessary to have a home in Heaven has been presented by false prophets in numerous so-called Christian churches. Messages that “tickle the ears” have been concentrated on giving people a “feel-good” feeling about attending services, and keeping seats and collection plates full. Paul talks about this in 2 Timothy 4:3-4. Sin is conveniently left out of sermons.

The “rocky ground” folks are caught up in the emotion of the spirit of revival. While it’s wonderful that so many are declaring they will now be a Christian, unless they study God’s word and actually change their mindset, they will eventually drift back to the lifestyle they were in before. The same can be said of the “sown among thorns” group. They will be pulled back by the cares of the world instead of preparing for eternity.

The “good soil” group will continue going forward by learning all they can about truly receiving and accepting Jesus as their Savior. When it’s stated, “the way is hard”, it’s only that way because people tend to believe there has to be more they can do to earn or buy their own Salvation.

Ephesians 2:8-9 gives the absolute truth about this, and we have to understand our Salvation is a gift from the Father for accepting His Son’s pure, sinless blood sacrifice to atone for our sins.

No one can say when this era will end and the tribulation will officially start. In Matthew 24:36, Jesus stated that only the Father knows the exact second when this will take place. However, in other scripture, our Savior tells us that it will be getting closer when all signs are present. In fact, in Luke 21:28, He states that the time would be very near when the signs are present. Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 give the signs, and 2 Timothy 3 gives what attitudes and human actions would be taking place. The only sign remaining before the antichrist makes his appearance is the Rapture, as given in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 and 1 Corinthians 15:512-53.

What we all need to remember is that God’s timing and ours are totally different, and His is the one that counts. Our goal is to have received and accepted Jesus as our Savior so we will be ready whenever the Rapture does take place. To wait could mean entering the worst seven-year period of time this earth will ever experience.

Romans 10:9-13 gives the simple steps to Salvation. The Father will force no one to call out to be saved, but will accept all who truly do.

We are not guaranteed tomorrow. Today would be an excellent time to become a part of our Savior’s precious flock (John 10). The event known as the Rapture, or being taken up to meet Jesus in the air, will be over in the “twinkling of an eye” (1 Corinthians 15:52). That will not leave enough time to call out to be saved once the Rapture starts. Twinkling of an eye is calculated by experts to be considerably less than one second.

All who have called out to be saved will have a Home prepared by the Savior in Heaven, as given in John 14:1-3. Unlike Earth homes, ours there will last forever.

All who refuse to call on Jesus to be their Savior before their last breath on this earth will end up at the Great White Throne Judgment of Revelation 20:11-15. Everyone there will spend eternity in the lake of fire with Satan and his demons forever.

These are the only two options for eternity. It’s each person’s responsibility to choose which one they will end up in. It’s also the most important decision you will ever make. Jesus is available to take your call 24 hours a day, every day.

Hope to see you there! Shalom! Come, Lord Jesus!

Peace Built On Shifting Sand :: By Dave Hubley

Let me begin by including a quote from the Lord Jesus relative to the pursuit of peace:

“Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God” (Matthew 5:9, The Word of God).

I applaud President Trump for his open mention of the One True God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, even though I do not believe that he truly knows Him or understands Him, but it is further proof of God’s Sovereignty over all humans to complete His plan for humanity.

I applaud the efforts of President Trump and those who have played a role in bringing about this oh-so-fragile peace. It has not been this quiet in Gaza in a very long time.

But it is not truly peaceful in Gaza. The reality is that Hamas has already resumed its violence by murdering so-called traitors in front of women and children. Are these people actually traitors? We know Hamas’ reputation for victimizing their own citizens, their tactical application of truth, and their love of brutality.

As of today (10 Oct 2025), reports are emerging that Hamas is already reneging on the “deal” they allegedly signed off on. No surprise there. Deception rears its ugly head.

They thrive on violence and live for it. How can any reasonable person expect to live at peace with that kind of demonic behavior?

“From the fruit of a man’s mouth he enjoys good, But the desire of the treacherous is violence” (Proverbs 13:2). Emphasis added.

I also share in the well-advised caution of Israel in that they are maintaining a wait-and-see attitude and, for the time being at least, staying alert and aware.

They have heard this song before.

Now we see that their caution is merited.

Unfortunately, they will fall for the empty promises of man at some point in the (possibly near) future, drop their guard, and become a land of “unwalled villages” (Ezekiel 38:11).

At that time, God will personally and directly intervene on behalf of His people, Israel, and it will be undeniable who is their true Protector.

For those who read and pay careful attention to the Word of God, it quickly becomes clear that every verse or principle is clarified, either directly or indirectly, in at least one other verse in His Word. By this, it becomes necessary to consider the context of every verse with the balance of Scripture. That is, I believe, His intended purpose.

There can be no conflicts in the Word of God.

So, with this in mind, how should we realistically view this “peace and safety” that is being lauded all over the world?

When proclamations of lasting “peace and safety” are made by human governments and leaders with the attitude that “there, problem solved, see what we have done!” to believe it requires that the Word of God must be ignored, allegorized, or marginalized.

God’s Word does not permit that attitude to prevail, and fulfilled prophecy proves it.

Then, there is the matter of continuing to divide God’s land, which still lies at the core of all this activity. Continued support, even of the current fragmentation of the borders, without any additional division, still constitutes the “dividing” which God has declared will be His motivation for executing the promise of His judgments prophesied in the Book of Joel. The countdown continues unabated, as we should expect.

“Yes, in those days and at that time, when I restore Judah and Jerusalem from captivity, I will gather all the nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will enter into judgment against them concerning My people, My inheritance, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations as they divided up My land(Joel 3:1-2). Emphasis added.

It is always wise to remember God’s prophecies that have been fulfilled and consider them the plumbline for those that are looming on the horizon of world events.

“Behold, the Protector of Israel will neither slumber nor sleep” (Psalm 121:4).

When human “leaders” and governments make their plans and “solutions” without fully considering and honoring the One True God, there will be consequences.

When “deals” are struck between them despite God’s clearly expressed will, it is important to realize that God already addressed that hubris thousands of years ago.

“’Woe to the rebellious children,’ says the LORD, ‘Who take counsel, but not of Me, And who devise plans, but not of My Spirit, That they may add sin to sin’” (Isaiah 30:1).

“They have also healed the hurt of My people slightly, Saying, ‘Peace, peace!’ When there is no peace” (Jeremiah 6:14). Emphasis added.

Where are we today?

History confirms that unreasoning hatred of the Jews has only increased over time and is especially vitriolic since May 14, 1948, with the rebirth of the State of Israel, an event prophesied by God’s Word. Today, that hatred grows and will soon explode once again.

As with all of His prophecies, Israel’s promised rebirth was fulfilled in minute detail.

“Who has ever heard of such things? Who has ever seen things like this? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment? Yet no sooner is Zion in labor than she gives birth to her children” (Isaiah 66:8). Emphasis added.

The promise and a declaration of peace without regard to God will be futile, as it has always proven to be. Its end result will be the most chaotic time in human history.

“For when they say, ‘Peace and safety!’ then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape” (1 Thessalonians 5:3).

Now to the crux of this article.

For my sisters and brothers who may be placing too much trust in secular human endeavor and so forget the Word of God, remember the Author of our salvation and His timeless promises to us that were given directly to John on the Isle of Patmos: that He will bring about the only true peace. The full import of this is made in Revelation 19:10:

“For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy” (Revelation 19:10).

Will this be the time directly pointing to the prophecy of sudden destruction spoken of in (1 Thessalonians 5:3) above comes about, or will it be an additional type pointing to a future literal fulfillment?

We can’t know for certain, but if it is, then the Rapture of the Church must be very close indeed. We must remain sober, cognizant of the words of Jesus, and alert.

“And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!” (Mark 13:37).

These terms, “peace and safety,” have never been more loudly declared than they are right now, so as in the signs of the times caution given by Jesus, it would be wise to consider:

But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash” (Matthew 7:26-27, The Word of God). Emphasis added.

The fulfillment of the balance of the ancient prophesies is piling up.

For those who have thus far ignored or rejected the call of the Holy Spirit expressed in these Words of Jesus, please read the Special message included below.

“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me” (Revelation 3:20).

If you choose to act, are in earnest, and are sincere, it is not too late, but you must do so in your living years.

The special message I promised you:

For anyone who may read this article and has not trusted in Jesus Christ and therefore has no hope or peace in your life.

You can have hope. You can have the peace that Jesus has promised to all who have made Him their Lord and Savior. The peace that passes understanding.

It requires that you come before God on His terms and that you do so in your living years.

And, what are His terms according to His Word?

  • Genuine repentance (turning to God instead of continuing to reject or ignore Him).
  • Confession of sins (that you are a sinner and acknowledge that to God).
  • That you understand that the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).
  • To acknowledge to God that you are unable to pay that debt.
  • Belief that Jesus Christ paid your death sentence for you on the cross and rose from the grave three days later, conquering death, just as He promised.
  • To believe that Jesus is the Way, the only Way, that God has established by which humans may be saved from the consequences of their sin and rebellion.

God has made it absolutely clear that there is no one who comes before Him, under His terms, that will be refused.

  • No one: no race, no color, no country of origin, regardless of any previous belief system: no one.
  • No matter what your past sins have been, God can and WILL forgive you because He says He will.
  • Salvation is available to everyone without any exceptions.

If you put all your trust for salvation in Jesus, and Him only, you can follow that prayer up by simply saying, “Thank you, Father God, for hearing my prayer and saving me,” because we can trust Him to keep His Word. He always has. He always will.

“Truly, Truly, I say to you that he who hears My words and believes the One who sent Me has eternal life and will not be condemned. He has crossed from death to life” (John 5:24).

There are no answers and there is no hope in the world by governments, organizations, politics or politicians. There are only lies and deception. But you can have the Truth and the peace you seek.

The answers are in the Word of God—The Bible. If you ask God, with all your heart, He will hear you.

“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13).
