These days, with enough deceit to corrupt the entire world, we must be very careful about what we believe.

The very first thing you must do is run out and buy a Bible if you don’t have one. Forget the Book of Mormon written by Joseph Smith (about hidden gold plates and an angel named Morony), and also his other strange prophecies). Forget what Catholicism teaches in their Catechism. And don’t let the Jehovah’s Witnesses into your house to teach you anything. Just because they wear a white shirt and tie and carry a briefcase doesn’t mean they know anything about the Bible. They have corrupted the real Bible with what they call the New World Translation, which was concocted by another crackpot lone wolf named Charles Taze Russel.

Please consider the Bible, which was written by scores of Jewish and Gentile Scholars (the King James version). In spite of its age, it is indubitably (whew – that word is a real doozy) the most reliable Word of God we have. Forget Hammurabi, who doesn’t discuss heaven or hell and is mostly about unreliable history. You read all other religious books at the risk of being bamboozled, misled, and confused. Other so-called books are devoid of the true way to Salvation, and that is what we should be most concerned with, not versions written by disenfranchised lone wolves.

Most of my readers know me as an avid reader from my youth. I even have a Book review in my column. I can say these things with a degree of authority because God wanted me to “quit reading man-made philosophies and ideas and to plant my feet firmly on the foundation Jesus Christ has already set.” You can read about this and other such events in my book Visions, Miracles, Peace and Power, available on Amazon and Kindle.

Although there are some who know just enough to use the King James to deceive (Satan is very clever), you can avoid making errors by asking God for His Holy Spirit to guide you. But be sure of your motive, and don’t rely on any one man for the interpretation of its contents. If you want to impress others with your extreme knowledge, then use other material like War and Peace to do so. Like it or not, we’re all biased in one way or another (that’s what makes us humans so unique).

One of these lone wolves was a man named Jim Jones, who claimed to speak for the Bible but instead only preached to people what he wanted them to hear, never telling them what the Bible actually said. His message to them was that he was the purveyor of all truth. Hence, when he told them to drink the poisoned “koolaid” they did, and all of them died a grizzly death.

Now for the juicy part.

Today, I was on my way to the beach to do a little scouting of locations for a “baptismal stand” where I could set up shop. (People today are so in need of salvation and hope.) But after going to the gym, I got hungry. So I stopped at Costco for a huge kosher hotdog and big fountain drink, both for only (tada) $1.50. Then I remembered how people clambered for one of my little red Bibles with the plan of salvation in it and thought it might be a good venue for doing so today.

Costco has a large eating area where families can eat pizza, hotdogs, and other goodies. So I thought, why not. I took a big handful of my little Bibles in my Cargo shorts pocket to test the waters, so to speak. (When dealing with a public business place like this one, you have to be careful not to provoke or incite a riot.) But I figured the clientele would be a kind of captive audience, so I proceeded. I ate first so as not to spew food all over the place by talking with my mouth full – pure etiquette.

In any case, I started at the back, working my way to the front and being polite, with a soft voice and smile on my face – in most cases (I can tell who’s in a good mood or not). And just as I figured, everyone was receptive save one, whom I determined might be a Mormon. I was somewhat sterner with the men since they don’t like to be taken for granted. I warned them of the likelihood of war and how we must ALL repent, including me, and seek God’s face. Then, handing them the little Bibles, they greedily complied. Some even thanked me, while a few commented, “You are so right.” That was a good sign that the timing was right.

As things heat up in the world, I, for one, am pulling out all the stops to share the Gospel and pray for the hurting and fearful.

God is giving me more and more ideas on how to reach out to the masses.

When dealing with God and the spiritual, you must read the Bible prayerfully for yourself, asking for God’s guidance.

I submit to you that we are on the cusp of God’s retribution for our Godless behavior, and we must, by all means, repent. Doing so may buy us a little more time to bring others into the kingdom of God before the rapture takes place.

Book report

I bought another used book at the library, but this one is an exposé of prominent people in politics and in our society. This author pulls no punches and is one of the most devious authors of our time. Pretending to be a ‘friend” and confidante, he exposes all the lurid details of his subjects’ sordid lives. The name of the book is Too Famous by Michael Wolff. I will keep this book, but only for reference.

P.S. I have one more really good idea that I’ve been inspired to put into play and will prepare for in the coming days, God willing.

This reflects TikTok’s younger demographic, which correlates with anti-Israel fever on university campuses. Joel 3 warns of God’s judgment coming to those who are against Israel.

Israel’s Erdan at U.N.: ‘You convened for these terrorists, but not for the children of Majdal Shams.’ He presented images of Hamas terrorists eliminated in the school and remarked: “You convened for these terrorists who used a school as their terror base, but for the children of Majdal Shams, murdered by Hezbollah’s rocket fire, you couldn’t find the time for an urgent session! Shame on you!”

‘Catastrophe for Jewish students’: historic body of university professors approves academic boycotts. This clears the way for scholar-activists to escalate efforts to purge universities of Zionism and educational partnerships with Israel. By this action, the AAUP offers cover to antisemites’ campaign to destroy Israel. But that’s their goal. Since she’s vice president, why can’t she enact her proposed solutions to these problems (which she helped create) now? Has the chameleon-like Harris now become a temporary MAGA candidate, as she expropriates Trump’s positions from border security to no taxes on tips? Does the media care to ask the new 80-day MAGA Harris why she’s renounced many of her once emphatic beliefs? Also, how interesting that Biden was only suddenly announced as unfit just before the convention to run for reelection, then Harris was put forth as the nominee without a single primary and preventing any rival candidates from challenging her? Etc., etc.

During the pandemic, seniors dying in droves in nursing homes should have been prioritized, not advancing a political agenda. Also, he’s drawn heavy fire recently amid accusations of “stolen valor” for embellishing his military service record. And he has ties to Communist China.

Walz agrees with teachers’ unions on abortion, transgenderism, and making sexually graphic books available in schools. He follows divisive policies set by state and national teachers’ unions. As a result, K-12 test scores are at all-time lows; crime, violence, and taxes are at all-time highs; and families are fleeing Minnesota in record numbers.

Personal records of 2.9 billion people were stolen from National Public Data earlier this year, and this month, almost all information stolen was posted online for anyone to freely take: names, addresses, phone numbers, employment histories, birth dates, and Social Security numbers. This is one of the most egregious privacy violations in the history of the world, but hardly anyone knows what’s happened.

U.S. sues TikTok and its parent company over child privacy for repeatedly violating the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. China, through its TikTok in the U.S., intends to destroy American youth’s minds. Also see ‘TikTok Jihad’ on the rise in Europe following Hamas Oct 7 attack. Some have used TikTok to radicalize/recruit young Muslims in Europe and the West, influencing them to carry out terrorist attacks.

U.K.’s slide into totalitarianism: grim echo of communist regimes. A father of young children has been imprisoned for 12 weeks for expressing his opinion in a Facebook conversation with a family member. Want More Freedom of Speech? Try Less Government! The Biden Administration has made speech regulation a priority. Biden even said companies refusing to censor citizens were “killing people.” His administration has created an anti-free speech record rivaled only by the Adams Administration, which used Alien and Sedition Acts to arrest political opponents. Release of the Twitter Files destroyed any plausible deniability of the government’s role in this censorship system.

A day after the WHO classified the Monkeypox outbreak in Africa as a “public health emergency of international concern,” a case of the new strain was confirmed in Sweden. Did the WHO know about this case beforehand? Also, one expert now says there are “almost certainly” cases in the U.K. already. Will we soon see cases of the new mutant strain popping up everywhere?

Pandemic-vaccine industry organizations seek to raise $123 billion. WHO $11.1 billion, GAVI $11.9 billion, IDA $100 billion, Pandemic Fund $2 billion. Where do they expect the money to come from?

Democrats and globalists ‘urgently’ prepare to re-impose Covid-style policies on schools. A former high-ranking “public health” bureaucrat in the Obama administration warned gov’t schools to urgently prepare to re-impose these policies in response to an expected upcoming pandemic. Among the key measures is a push for mass vaccination.

Nearly half of Covid vaccine study participants reported sleep disorders, a Jordanian study found. The study found narcolepsy symptoms are possibly an adverse effect of Covid injections. 48% of study participants reported excessive daytime sleepiness, 20% reported sleep paralysis, 15% reported hypnagogic hallucinations, 25% reported sleep attacks, and fragmented nighttime sleep was reported by 42.3% of the survey participants.

From global financial crisis to the mark of the beast: how we’re most likely to get from where we are to where the world will be in years to come. This coming system is one of many signs the Bible says will appear in the end times, and our generation is witness to their emergence and convergence. No other generation can say this. Jesus said, “When you begin to see these things, you can know His return is near, right at the door” (Matthew 24:33). Amen; come, Lord Jesus!

Hurricane Ernesto to pummel Bermuda w/life-threatening conditions. The Cat 2 storm that left nearly a quarter-million without power across Puerto Rico will cause dangerous conditions along the U.S. eastern shore. As of Friday, heavy rain and strong winds were projected to begin lashing Bermuda before the storm moves over or near the archipelago Saturday as a “large hurricane.”

Severe storm, torrential rains hit parts of Spain, causing widespread floods on Aug. 14-15.

2024 on track to become Canada’s second-worst fire season in two decades. Reports indicate the number of wildfires in Northern Canada has increased by 50% in the last three weeks. Fraser Institute said, “Canada’s burning because of bad forest policy, not climate change.” Wildfire smoke from Canada has poured into the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic areas of the U.S., raising air quality alerts across the region.

India: monsoon death toll hits 58; rain damages 198,000 acres of crops in Karnataka. In some regions, rainfall has exceeded averages; the situation may worsen as more heavy rains are forecast.

Greece: massive wildfire threatens Athens, forcing 30,000 to evacuate. 24,710 acres of land have been burned, with flames advancing due to strong winds. One casualty has been confirmed.

Earthquakes

5.2 earthquake hits northern, central Israel and surrounding countries on Aug. 13. Injuries reported were in Syria, where at least 25 people sustained injuries due to stampeding following the quake.

Wars and Rumors of Wars

Israel’s Foreign Minister says international coalition should join attack on Iran if it attacks Israel, one led by US, UK, & France. “Iran must understand that if it won’t stop its direct and proxy aggression against Israel, it will pay a heavy strategic and economic price; that is the only chance of stopping an all-out war.”

IDF eliminated senior Hamas terrorist in strike in Lebanon Aug. 9. Samer Mahmoud al-Haj was responsible for advancing terror attacks and projectile launches from Lebanon toward Israeli territory.

Alarms sounded as Hezbollah drones entered Israeli Aug. 10. Warnings were issued deep within Israel as firefighters battled blazes. Amid the alarms, Israel launched strikes on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon.

19 Hamas and Islamic jihad terrorists killed in mosque in school compound Aug. 10. Israel conducted a precision strike on the Hamas command and control center located there.

IDF has its boot on Hamas’ throat, but Washington DC is its biggest barrier to success. Israel is fighting unconventional urban war under immense Western pressure. Former British Army Officer Andrew Fox argued that contrary to the assessment of many in the West, the IDF is winning the war against Hamas and needs to be allowed to finish that job.

China now goading Iran into attacking Israel.

Concluding Scripture

“Be careful [anxious] for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7).
