The release coincided with a roughly six-hour-long visit to Israel by U.S. President Donald Trump, whose mediation had brought about the breakthrough in the negotiations. In his speech to the Knesset, Trump said “it feels so good to say” that the hostages are now back home. The hostages were released in two batches, the first including seven hostages from Gaza City around 8 a.m. local time, and a second with 13 hostages from the southern city of Khan Younis around 11:40 a.m.

It was also another bright feather in his cap as one of the greatest peacemakers in modern history.

The Left Can’t Cheer for Peace When Trump Is Involved
President Donald Trump has done what few thought possible: he helped broker a sweeping ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, negotiated the release of hostages, and achieved the first genuine breakthrough toward calm in nearly a year. For Israelis, the deal means quiet skies and the return of abducted families. For Palestinians, it offers desperately needed relief. For Americans, it represents a rare moment of when diplomacy actually worked. And yet, the reaction from much of the American Left has been silence. Even Obama, who cautiously said we should all be “encouraged and relieved,” stopped short of acknowledging Trump’s role.

“We Want Our Entitlements”: In November, Food Stamp Money Will Run Out For 42 Million Very Angry Americans
What do you think is going to happen when tens of millions of impoverished Americans suddenly stop getting their food stamp money from the government? It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that a lot of them will be extremely angry. Unfortunately, if the current government shutdown stretches into the month of November, we really will be facing a nightmare scenario. Vast numbers of extraordinarily frustrated people will be demanding their money, and if they don’t get it I have a feeling that we could see rioting and violence.

“We’re In Wars”: Ray Dalio Warns of ‘Civil War’ & Soaring Debt
One thing is for sure about billionaire Ray Dalio: something bad is coming, at some point, because there’s just too much bad happening to reconcile.
