The resolution, which was introduced by Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, R-La., “condemns in the strongest possible terms the assassination of Charles ‘Charlie’ James Kirk, and all forms of political violence.” Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan were among the Democrats who voted against the resolution.
