Your Appointed Time :: By Clay Smith

Job 14:14 (change)

Psalms 17:15 (awake)

Where are you going when your destiny or appointed time comes with physical death as we know it, or you fly away? This Old Testament term signifies going to be with the Lord. Do you have a personal relationship with God and His Son Jesus (Yeshua in Hebrew)? Most people believe in God or a god or entity. Some don’t believe in God at all. I met a young lady the other day, and she doesn’t believe in God or religion. She said she does her own thing. So sad. I believe in the one true living God. His Name is Yahweh, Jehovah, and on and on; many wonderful Names.

Question: Do you know Him or of Him? The difference is an eternity in Heaven or Hell (Lake of Fire).

Revelation 1:8 “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”

Everything rides on what your belief is. Are you one of the Lord’s sons or daughters? The ones who aren’t are just children of men. Who is your hope in? What is your hope in? I pray it’s not yourself; that won’t do it. There is a Saviour for all mankind. His name is Jesus Christ. The Scriptures tell us who it is in the most popular verse in the Holy Bible, God’s Word.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

With this, you can have everlasting life, hope, joy, and peace from this decision you make now. Jesus is the Messiah. He always was and always will be. You can have a personal relationship with Him right now. He is the only One who was crucified, placed in a tomb for 3 full days and nights, and rose from the dead to everlasting life almost 2,000 years ago. Believe in Him, and you will be saved, born again.

That appointed time is coming that I mentioned, and we don’t know when. Our days are numbered. The Scriptures give us the truth about this time even back in Job’s day, around 1500 B.C., and in King David’s time. See what they knew and believed.

Job 14:14 “If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.”

Job’s being and body would become a new body, for the physical body goes back to dust. He would receive a heavenly body like Christ.

Psalms 17:15 “As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.”

Wow! Did you catch that? When he opened his eyes, he knew he would be like Christ. Just like him, but without the nail-scarred hands and feet and puncture wound in his side. None of us will have that.

Here is the verse that proves this. We always want to back up scripture with scripture.

1 John 3:2 “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.”

Get that? I believe this verse points to the Rapture (snatching up, or caught up) to be with Jesus, which could be any moment. No one knows.

1 Thessalonians 4:16,17 “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the Trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

Remember at the beginning of the article when I mentioned “fly away”? Jesus is coming back for His Bride, the Church. That’s us, the Saints or believers. We are in the age of the Gentiles; you can be part of this group. It’s voluntary, not forced. No special qualifications; just those who are sinners and admit this, and ask God for forgiveness and accept His gift of eternal life. It can’t be earned or purchased; money or works is not a qualifier.

I could say so much more and give you many scriptures. Read these and look over this article again closely. Reach out to me or someone here at Rapture Ready if you have questions. Make sure of your salvation.

I’ll close with this great statement from Job, who went through a heck of a lot of adversity but came out of it being blessed by God tremendously. We all go through things. But God….

Job 19:25 “For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth.”

Redeemed. That could be you.

All Scripture is King James Bible
