How odd is it that we want the best of everything, and yet everything is not always the best for us?! Does that make you feel like you’re running in circles and getting nowhere fast?
I remember when I was real little, walking with my Dad, holding his hand, and I see this really old couple. Their hair was already white, they were old, and yet they were walking and holding hands. They were content and happy being together… Wow! Immediately, even though I was so very young, I knew that was what I wanted! How could I know this?
Throughout my young years, I never forgot that, and I would ofttimes recall it and wish for the same thing, that Love, that contentment. That couple resembled each other, if you will, and it truly impressed me for years. In my mind, it seemed like a stellar goal to have, worthy of pursuit. Still as yet, I failed at so many attempts, got beat up a couple of times for choosing the wrong girl. Like every other guy, I wanted the “Britney Spears,” and I wouldn’t have the time for anyone else. Later, I wanted the fast and hot ones, and that ended up in one disaster after another. I was failing miserably!
The Lord had other plans for me, and yet I did not know the Lord as I should have. My Mom and Dad made sure I went to Sunday School and had me singing in the church Choir, which I absolutely hated! Finally, I Graduated and went into the Military. My experiences were failures to a degree, but I did learn some things.
After I got out of the Military and from overseas, I wanted to settle down and find a Wife. That was when the Lord brought Monika and me together, and now I have that dream from that old time…44 years married! Now I am looking at Eternity with her; how fantastic is that?! The Lord was Blessing me even though I did not walk with HIM at that time. HE knew my Heart; HE knew everything that I would ever need or want; HE knew me before HE created the world!
Colossians 1:16-17 “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.”
Ephesians 1:4 “According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love.”
There it is, the proof y’all, written in Black and White! The Lord God KNOWS absolutely everything: the Past, the Present and the future of every one of us Humans; HE never misses a single thing! I used to think that I made my own decisions…WRONG. The Lord holds the reins of my life, and HE has always held them. HE does the same for you as well, whether you know this or not. You and I get one choice, to accept Jesus Christ as Savior…or NOT.
Once we accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, HE fills us with HIS Holy Spirit. Because we Love Him, we choose to do HIS Perfect Will for our lives. How do we know what the Perfect Will is? We read HIS Holy Word—the Bible, we listen for HIS Voice, We Pray and ask for HIS Help to know what to do, and then we follow that. Do we still fail? The answer is YES. Do we still commit Sin? YES. The answer to all of this is simple… We belong to HIM…therefore, we have a Father that is willing to forgive our Sin and cleanse us. That is the difference between the SAVED and the unSAVED. The LORD GOD.
1 John 1:7 “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”
If our Sin is covered by the Blood of Jesus Christ that HE shed on the Cross of Calvary, we are saved to HIM. We will see Heaven and HIM for Eternity! If HIS blood does NOT cover our Sin, we are already dead, and we are headed for Hell and the lake of Fire for Eternity! It is because of HIM that we know… HE controls absolutely everything and everyone! Satan loves to tell us that this is not so… Satan loves to LIE to you and me. I Like to say,
Satan is the Father of Lies and Flies,
He bothers people and eats dung…
most of all, Satan is already defeated;
He is already done.
That took place the day that Jesus Christ died
on that Roman Cross for you and I.
Satan loves to LIE to you and me, “Oh look at that…wouldn’t it be fun to have some of that? Oh yeah! Now go and get it… It’s okay… nothing bad is going to happen… trust me!” Once you commit that Sin, it will always come back and bite you in the you-know-what! Satan and his ilk will sit back and watch you suffer; they will laugh and call you stupid. Then again, as I have stated before, they HATE YOU.
“Deception” is one of Satan’s greatest acts against you and me! Because of that, I hate clowns – not so much the individual, but I hate the Deception…the disguise! How about that song about the clown that looks all happy and funny, but he is crying inside? Know what I mean, ya’ll? Or maybe it’s money! Oh Yeah…you got to have tons of it…or you’ll never be happy! Anyone you know? Yuppers; there are far too many of them out there. Just remember: the second you DIE, that money of yours becomes totally worthless. Again, as I have stated before, go out to that cemetery and see who is rich and who isn’t!
Matthew 7:13-14 “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”
Yuppers…you have heard me say it before: that Highway to Hell looks like a highway filled with Zombies! They are already dead in their own Sin and they shuffle along to their own destruction in Hell. That’s the reason we spend so much time trying to reach them for Jesus Christ. ONLY HE is able to cleanse them and restore them to an Eternity with HIM in Heaven. NO Jesus Christ… NO Heaven!
There is only one way to Heaven… Jesus Christ! If anyone tells you something different, they are LYING to you. Read your Bible and know for sure! One day real soon, Jesus Christ is going to come and take the Believers to Heaven…In the Rapture. You have until that day, or the day you die, to choose Jesus Christ! Do you know when those two days are going to be? Yeah…that’s right! NO ONE KNOWS.
