Our Questions in Our Lives :: By Don Twobears

How many times do we as humans say things that are not true, that actually degrade the Honor of our Lord and Savior? I know someone is sitting there and saying, I would never do something like that! Still as yet, have you ever said to yourself how sad you feel that a loved one passed on? Have you ever stated to yourself or another, that person is now the Angels are watching over us? Have you ever had a sinful thought and then wondered why your blessings are so basic? Nothing special has ever taken place, even though you prayed for it? Conundrums that feel like roadblocks in your life.

Let’s take a look at these and see for ourselves exactly what is going on. We need to begin by taking a close look at what the Holy Word of God, the Bible, has to say about these things. It might come as a surprise to see the results.

Ecclesiastes 9:5-6 “For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.

Is this not clear enough for all to understand? The loved ones have no idea of what all is going on here on earth anymore; they are dead, they have passed on. Thus the Bible is telling us that they are NOT Angels. They are NOT “Looking down on us and helping us!”

The real first question ought to be, were they ever Born-Again to Jesus Christ? The answer would then be, that person is in Heaven; they are no longer a member of this little planet. Their existence in Heaven is far greater than we are able to experience here on earth; it’s much more vibrant, so much more alive than we could ever imagine. If the Lord God loves them as the Bible says HE does, why would any of them be subjected ‘once again’ to the rigors of this life on earth? They had already been through this part of life as a human; now their existence is Spiritual.

So now we see that they are NOT Angels. Angels are a different Creation by the Lord God altogether. An individual who gave their life over to the Lord is now a new Creation, a ‘Child of the Lord God.’

John 1:12-13 “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Hebrews 1:13-14 “To which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

So there you have it, straight from the Word of God; Angels are Ministering Spirits! We as Humans will never be Angels; they will never be a Human. Humans and Angels are two completely different creations. The only one watching you is the Lord God, and HE sees all the way into your thoughts. So by saying a loved one is now an Angel is to demean the position the Lord God has given you; and that means you are calling the Lord God a Liar. We KNOW that is not true!

Now, as to our sin nature: As long as we are alive on this little planet, we will commit sin; it is part of our natural being. What does the Word of God say about sin?

Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

This passage of Scripture is talking about ‘Our Sin, Our Heart! This is our lot, as long as we live here on earth, and thankfully…that is a very short period of time.

Ephesians 1:6-10 “To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

There it is in Black and White! That is the answer we need to read about our sin — HIS precious Blood from the Cross at Calvary. There are other passages as well, which I would like to share with you.

Romans 5:8-9 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

John 15:4-7 “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide NOT in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Again…you either belong to Jesus Christ…or you don’t. Yet, look at the promises found in this passage of Scripture — benefits, even though we are still here on earth. Praise the Lord…indeed! What else could you ever think to ask for?

John 14:6-13 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

“Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

“Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Please take a few moments and think on these things and then apply them to your life and see what happens…you will be amazed!

Many times I sit and think of these, knowing HE is here with me and supplying for all my need. Please notice I said ‘Need’ not my ‘Wants’! Do NOT fall into the trap of those preaching the “Prosperity Gospel or the Feel-Good Gospel!” How do you think the Lord God feels when you try and use HIM for an everyday ATM Machine? How would you feel, if someone only came to you for more and more money? Yeah…I thought so.

Matthew 11:28-30 “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

The Lord Jesus Christ…talking to each and every one of us…From HIS Heart to you and me! What more could anyone think to ask for than an Eternity with the Lord God…in Heaven? Here’s the crazy part; it’s absolutely free for the taking! Anything else…and your life will end in Hell and the Lake of Fire…and that too will last forever and ever….Eternity!

That is the entire reason for you and I being here as Humans…to come to The Lord God…who is Jesus Christ! That is also the very reason our lives here are so short. Stop and think about it, my friends; how long is say 80 years…to the length of time…in Eternity?

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

I use the King James Version of the Bible, and all emphasis is mine.
