Sin
I like to go around the Internet, reading about “Christians” and their lives, what they say they do and don’t do. In other words, I wonder if they truly know our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, like they say they do.
Matthew 7:21-23 “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.“
My Friends, PLEASE…read that passage of Scripture above, not just once, but over and over again! I have highlighted some important areas, but actually, the entire chapter is of utmost importance. I hear it all the time, “Well…I was baptized as a child…or I have been baptized…I went to church every Sunday…I believe in God…I am a good person”…the statements go on and on. So let’s take a look at these and compare them to what the Holy Word of God (The Bible) says about them.
“Baptism” is a way to show the world that you believe in Jesus Christ, that you are professing this to the world. “Baptism” will NOT save you to Heaven and the presence of the Lord God. It is a profession of Faith.
Acts 2:38 “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.“
Notice the first highlighted area of the Scripture; it says “Repent”…and then be baptized. NOT the other way around! In other words, you must REPENT of your sin…FIRST. Baptism as a baby is worthless. Did the babies REPENT of their sin before they committed any sin? Sorry ya’ll, but they are talking about “Original Sin” in this aspect.
Sin is sin, and you are correct…but you must be able to look at your Spirit/Life and KNOW whether or not you are a sinner; and a baby is not able to do that. You must ask the Lord to cover your sin with HIS Blood from the Cross at Calvary; and again, a baby is not able to do that.
My friends, the forgiveness of sin by Jesus Christ is a CHOICE you must make…in all sincerity. It is the realization in you that you are worthless, as filthy rags, before a JUST and RIGHTEOUS God. Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to Heaven and the Father…through HIS Blood…covering your sin.
Baptism is an outer profession of your Faith and Devotion to Jesus Christ. It is a way of telling the world…this is what I believe. BUT it will NOT save you. Read the above again. It is the same as “Going to Church.” You can sit in that church until the cows come home, but just being there is NOT going to save YOU to Heaven and the Father. Sitting in the church does NOT make you holy. I do not care what your feelings are telling you…it is the Blood of Jesus Christ that saves you and nothing more. You MUST make the decision to ask Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sin.
Ephesians 2:1-9 “And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
“But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.“
I do not care how you feel, or how many “Hail Mary’s” you say, or “Our Fathers”…if there is NO belief in the Saving Grace of Jesus Christ…NO Blood of Jesus covering your sin…you are doomed. I know there will be many that do not like me saying this…just read the passage of Scripture above…AGAIN. It is true; the Lord God loves all of us. There is a requirement by HIM in order to be saved. Again read the above Scripture.
“Well…I believe in God!” Many are saying this and will continue to say it; and my reply is “Satan believes in God too…but that belief will NOT save you or him.” Again, you must ask for HIS Blood to cover your sin; you must ask HIM to save you…and it must be SINCERE. NO ONE will ever be able to “pray you into Heaven!”
“Well, I take the Sacrament!” And then I ask, do you understand that taking Communion is “in REMEMBERENCE of HIM?” Jesus Christ was indeed here as a human being, God in a human form…but remembering that will NOT save you. You must ask HIM to save you, to have your Sin covered by HIS Blood…there is no other way. I do not care who told you what…read your BIBLE.
“I’m a Good Person.” Really? And what does the Bible say about this? Let’s take a serious look at that and see what HE has to say about this.
Mark 10:17-18 “And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.“
Isaiah 64:6 “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.“
My point exactly, my friends. The Lord God has put us in our place, exactly where we belong. Let there be no mistake…we are the sinners! We are the “fallen species.” We make the mistakes…NOT HIM. There are a few other things as well that we need to understand:
John 15:5 “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.“
This passage is Wisdom to understand. You and I are alive by virtue of the Lord allowing the “next heartbeat…the next breath of air!” You cannot have these by virtue of simply being alive; all of that is GIVEN to you for a reason. God the Father…God the Son (Jesus Christ)…God the Holy Spirit…IS God. And the Lord God wants you to come to HIM for Salvation…through HIS Blood from that Roman Cross of Calvary… to cover your sin…to cleanse you of unrighteousness …to make you pure and unblemished in HIS Sight. That, my friends, is the ONLY way to Heaven and the Father. Please read the Bible and take it to heart. And finally:
John 14:6-7 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.“
Matthew 7:15 “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.“
2 Corinthians 11:3-4 “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.“
My friends, I am not trying to offend anyone with this article, but the TRUTH is the TRUTH. And the Holy Word of God is the absolute Truth. Anything…and I mean anything else…is of the Devil Satan…and you need to run from that as fast as you can. YOUR Eternal Destiny is at stake here. Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to Heaven and the Father…Believe that!
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.“
