I recently read an article titled, “Muslim UN Commissioner Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein Calls For High-Powered Gun Ban In United States,” posted onNow The End Begins website. The point in this article is that something clicked in me when the author was describing some of the measures Obama is pushing for in the wake of the Orlando mass shooting. I will list the things mentioned in the article and then tie them all together.
The points listed were Obama’s call for Congress to renew the assault weapons ban. He also asked them to pass “legislation to make it harder for suspected terrorists to obtain firearms.” Additionally, he said there are a number of “common sense” gun control measures that Congress should take to reduce gun violence without violating the Second Amendment.
Obama was quoted as saying, “People with possible ties to terrorism who are not allowed on a plane shouldn’t be allowed to buy a gun.” This is in reference to pending legislation on Capitol Hill that would prevent anyone on the no fly list from buying a firearm, also known as “no fly, no buy.”
First point first. The assault weapons ban is a lie. It is really a way to open the door to a complete ban. How? By allowing the government to classify any weapon they like as an assault weapon. I happen to be very familiar with these types of weapons, as people currently understand the term. I spent over 27 years in uniform and was a paratrooper. I literally earned my pay by being very proficient in the use and employment of assault weapons.
That being said, I know that it really isn’t the weapon that makes it an “assault weapon” but the man behind the trigger. Any weapon can be used as an “assault weapon” if the circumstances call for it and the man using it is willing to go on the assault. So, calling for an “assault weapons” ban is really just a way to open the door for a complete ban over time as more and more weapons are placed in this category.
Now on to the next point in this; passing legislation in order to make it harder for suspected terrorists to obtain firearms. This is a triple lie. The first lie is in the fact that it is virtually unheard of for a terrorist to legally go out to buy a firearm. I grant that there are exceptions to this, but most of them that use firearms have obtained them illegally. That nullifies the plainly stated reason for the proposed legislation.
The second lie in this is the fact that it would allow the government to deny someone of their Constitutional rights because they were suspected, not convicted. This is a direct violation of due process rights. This also ties directly into the third lie in this: All that has to happen is someone in the government says they suspect YOU of being a terrorist and your rights are taken away.
No trial, no appeal, just you having to prove your innocence. Good luck with that, I hope you have really deep pockets and a lot of free time. So, to recap this three part lie: Terrorists don’t obtain their weapons thru legal means, this restriction violates the suspected terrorists due process rights, and then the government is free to call anyone it wants a “suspected terrorist” knowing it is virtually impossible for the individual to have the resources to fight it. That’s some catch, a catch 22.
Third point: The legislative “common sense” measures aimed at reducing gun violence. First of all, what kind of “common sense” have we gotten out of Congress in the last 50 years? Also, this is not a legislative problem, it is a behavioral problem. That means the government wants to control our behavior, which leads to controlling our thinking. Only by controlling our thinking can the government expect a true change in our behavior. If we don’t believe it, then our actions are not self-motivated but are motivated by outside influences in order to avoid something unpleasant.
As I stated above, I am a retired U.S. Army Paratrooper. I also happen to be rated totally and permanently disabled by the VA. My biggest single disability is for PTSD, 70 percent. I am not embarrassed to share that because I got it by gladly serving and would do it all again. I, along with almost all Veterans diagnosed as having PTSD, are not drooling psychopaths sitting there in some dark corner of the basement planning on climbing the nearest water tower with a deer rifle.
We are your friends and neighbors, your sons and brothers, who have seen things and done things that most people, thank God, never have to see or do. These experiences have changed us, but we are not a threat to you. But a threat to a tyrannical government? Well, that is another story. I fully understand why the government wants to disarm us.
Now think back over the past few years. How many times have we seen articles or news stories about passing legislation to prohibit people with mental health issues from being allowed to purchase or own a firearm? How many times have we seen stories or articles about a veteran, just because he is VA rated with PTSD and has sought treatment, being hassled about owning firearms?
This is also part of the “common sense” legislation to limit gun ownership. My last point: No fly no buy. This is another back door attempt to confiscate and ban people from buying firearms. While on its surface this seems to make sense, so do the other measures proposed, and yet they do not make sense when you dig into them.
How many times have we seen cases where a 90 year old grandmother is on a no fly list? Or a 5 year old girl? Bottom line, we already know that the government puts just about anybody on the list they wish, and once on it is virtually impossible to get it taken off. Once again it takes deep pockets and a lot of time to just have the chance to be taken off the list.
This idea is really a double whammy. Not only does the government get to restrict your travel or at least better track and control your freedom to move, it also gets to disarm you in one simple step. Okay, so how does all this fit together and into the end of days?
Simple; until the people are disarmed, the Antichrist cannot easily take control. All these measures are designed to ultimately disarm EVERYONE. Think about it for a minute. What is the only real obstacle to the government becoming more tyrannical than it already is? An armed citizenry. That is exactly why the Founding Fathers wrote the Second Amendment. They knew, and modern history has reinforced this again and again, that an unarmed citizenry is low hanging fruit for a tyrannical government.
All governments if left unchecked will become tyrannical. That is because governments are made up of fallen mankind. It is also because Satan has been allowed to have dominion over this world, temporarily at least. So, to answer the question “How are gun control and the end times connected?” This, in my opinion, is the key event to be watching for.
Yes, I agree that what is happening in the Middle East and Israel is important. I also agree that the LGBT agenda is an indicator too, along with the rise of Russia and China, the happenings in the EU, the globalization of the economy, and on and on and on. I am not taking anything away from all these important prophecy fulfilling indicators.
What I am saying is that for the Antichrist system to come into power will require not just the fall of the U.S. but the submission of the American people. The only way that can happen is to disarm them first. Once the people are disarmed, then it becomes easy to force the rest of these things down our throats.
Why do you think our nation is not referred to in Scripture? Because we will either not exist or at best be insignificant. It will be like the Borg from Star Trek; you will assimilate or else! So yes, keep an eye on these other significant world events. They are vitally important. However, to really see how close we are to hearing the Shofar, keep an eye on gun control.

Coincidence? No. There is no such thing as coincidence since God knows the end from the beginning: “Remember this, and shew yourselves men: bring it again to mind, O ye transgressors. Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it’”

Bottom line, once they take away the guns, then everything else becomes possible. The rest of the things we are watching will take off like a rocket because no one will have any way to stand up, say “Not on my watch!” and have the ability to back up those words with firepower.
