I believe that many people, have no idea of Satan and his ilk. He does not deserve anything but contempt. The majority of people view Satan as a “Pointy ear, pointy nose, red colored individual that has a long tail, big horns and carries a trident.” How far from the truth could they be…besides that, as long as you believe that visual, you will be duped by him as well.
Isaiah 14:12-15: “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.”
Reading the above account, we see that it was God that created Lucifer and he was an Angel of the highest order in Heaven. The problem came into being, when Lucifer decided he was as great or greater than God and wanted to place his throne with God or higher. Obviously that failed completely, God is God and there is none other beside Him. God threw him (Lucifer) down to the surface of the earth and he became the prince of the air. Can you imagine being humbled before the entire universe by God?!
Now we see that Satan was an angel of light, not as the description from above, in the first paragraph and the reason for believing him to be so, is pure ignorance. It is pure folly to believe that visage, which is part-in-parcel, what Satan wants you to think. Most people do not understand that Satan is the father of deception, therefore he can come in any form he so chooses.
If he wants people to believe he is red and pointy, he has a reason, usually that reason is to deceive people into thinking he is a cartoon character. Thus he is able to make himself small and insignificant, rather than the roaring Lion, looking for prey…you! He is the same one that deceived Eve and caused her to sin twice, not once.
Genesis 3:1-5: “Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, ‘neither shall ye touch it’ lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, ‘knowing good and evil.’”
Well, we definitely know the difference between “Good and Evil” don’t we? And what do we do now, we choose the Evil first and always, because it is fun…or at least that is what we think. So where do we get that idea…Satan! The Bible says that Satan is the “father of lies.” I like to say, he is the “father of lies and flies” because our torment by both are endless. Since his fall from heaven, he has been the bearer of violence, destruction and death. People follow him because he convinces them that they need power or fame and fortune, riches, self-importance, absolutely everything that means nothing in eternity.
It is Satan that lies to you and me, to commit sin, in so doing, he wants you and me to follow him into hell and finally the lake of fire. Through our own sin we fight wars, killing each other and Satan and his ilk (other angels that followed him) laugh with glee and satisfaction at our doom.
I believe that everyone thinks they can eradicate Satan and his ilk by a spoken phrase or whatever, yet, only Jesus Christ can save us! In our fervent attempts to dispel Satan, he simply laughs at us, until we bring the name of Jesus Christ into the mix. Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to cure all of our problems, the thing is, you must give up your Life to Jesus Christ first.
We must kneel at the cross of Jesus Christ, where HE shed his precious blood and give up our entire lives to HIM. We must accept the fact that we were sinners and ask for HIS forgiveness of our Sin and then nail our “old selves” to HIS cross and walk away. Then we are filled with the Holy Spirit.
“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4).
Having said that, we must understand something here, we will be held accountable to God, for our every action! Except, when we have accepted Jesus Christ and have had our sin covered with HIS precious blood! My friends, do not ever think that God will not hold us accountable, it was OUR CHOICE to follow Jesus Christ or to follow Satan.
It is evident from the Word of God, that we must individually choose whom we wish to follow. It is known, that Satan and his ilk are headed for hell and then the lake of fire for eternity, yet God has chosen to allow you and me to have a choice as to whom we follow.
Our birth and death are “give-me’s” if you will, they are simply our beginning and our end here on earth. Problem is…we must choose Jesus Christ or Satan during our lifetime and where we spend eternity after our death, is according to whom we have chosen to follow. It is one way or the other!
We must understand, there is NO “sitting on the fence, there is NO “gray area.” We must choose before we die. Please understand, I did NOT say this, it is in the Holy Word of God…from God’s lips to our ears!
We must clearly understand that it is Satan and his ilk that confuses us, deceives us and helps us to sin, because he is afraid to answer to God and spend eternity in the lake of fire by himself. Looking at him in this light, we can see how huge a wimp he and his ilk truly are.
We must also understand, only Jesus Christ is able to defeat him and his ilk, remember, they were once Angels, now they are demons. Our lives are filled with mountains and valleys, fraught with danger and death and only Jesus Christ can save us.
So as you look around today, know that Satan and his ilk are responsible for deceiving us, it is our sin that condemns us, unless we are covered by the blood of Jesus Christ. Sin is the reason for all the wars, for all of the hatred, anger and Death, for the death of children across the globe, due to disease and hunger and violence.
It has always been because of Satan’s influence on us that we have experienced depression, disease, hunger, anger, hatred, bigotry and many, many others. And yet, the answer to every problem has always been found in the Word of God…the answer is Jesus Christ!
So the question now is this: Where are YOU in all of this pain and misery of everyone’s lives? Are you working to educate and dispel the ignorance of all the people of this world? Are your tithes working to that end? Are you teaching the young about Jesus Christ? Are you helping to feed the hungry and the down-trodden, the forgotten ones all around us?
In other words, what have you done for Jesus Christ today and what will you do for HIM tomorrow? What are the words flowing from your lips? Do they edify the Lord God, do they show others who the Lord God Almighty is and how HE has worked in your Life? Or…are you working hard for the other guy?
Everyone that has ever lived on this little planet has had the opportunity and the choice to follow Jesus Christ or Satan and his ilk. It has always been your choice! And in the end, everyone has followed Jesus Christ to heaven or followed Satan and his ilk to hell.
If you choose this world, you know where you will end up and Jesus Christ is the ONLY answer for you, but You must choose to follow Him! There is only one question left to ask after all this information, “Where do YOU want to go after YOU die?!” Our lives are so very short, because this life was meant to make that one choice and that’s it!
