Love Endures :: by Maureen Pietrocola

My dear friends,

Please read carefully… If you are a believer, hold steadfast in your faith. His return is very near, and His love endures. If you are not a believer, will you please read my story?

Jesus is REAL. Do not be doubtful. He came to this earth over 2,000 years ago for a specific purpose. He came not to judge, but to SAVE.

His First Coming was planned and in the same way His return is planned. Of this we can be certain. It is God’s promise. I have always wondered: Why can’t people just believe? I know life is harsh and difficult to understand but doesn’t that give us all the more reason to believe?

A true and loving God would never desire to confuse or lie to us. Human beings make it more complicated. Out of God’s great mercy, He has made the truth “simple.” Simple for us but it was not simple for Jesus. He had to suffer. Lest we forget, we must always remember that Jesus paid the penalty so we would not have to.

What greater love exists? God sacrificed His beloved Son for us!

My friends, when I was a very young girl, I knelt down alone in my room and recited the sinners prayer. I truly believed with all my heart and soul what God had revealed to me through another Christian. I realized we were all born with original sin, not one of us worthy to stand in the presence of a pure and holy God. It made sense to me that the only way to be found righteous was to meet God’s standards and not ours.

After all, we are His creation, so who would know better? God needed to prepare a way for us and have a plan. So there I was alone in my room confessing and believing what Jesus had done for me and all mankind. As soon as I finished my prayer, at that very moment, I experienced something I will always remember. It was an immediate and physical sensation of a pressure being taken from me.

I did not anticipate or expect it. It was exactly as if something heavy was suddenly lifted from my shoulders. In that instant I could only think of just how wonderful Jesus is! Only a truly loving, gentle and all-powerful God would allow me to experience such a miraculous moment. It all made sense. We carry the burden of sin and Jesus “simply” took it from us. God created us with a free will so that we could choose to love Him by our own desire. This is what He wants. God wants us to love Him back… freely and with our own hearts.

Over 2,000 years ago on the day and at the moment Jesus died, the sky grew dark and the earth quaked. A thick curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn in two from top to bottom by the power of God. This signified that through His death on the cross we were no longer separated from God. It was finished! This was truly the most momentous day in history.

BELIEVE. Believe the truth. This life on earth is temporary, very short. God says our life is like a vapor. What is our time here compared to all of eternity with God? Choose! Choose to be with Him or be separated from Him. That is the decision we must make. Jesus said: “No one comes to the Father but by me.” He said it simply and clearly. I’m so grateful to God for the experience I had. I have kept it locked in my heart.

No matter what happens in my life, good or bad, I have an unfailing faith in the Lord. It never leaves me. My faith is something deep in my heart and soul that carries me; a gentle voice, a knowing Presence that constantly reminds me that everything works together for good, for those who love the Lord.

There is a purpose and a reason, a plan why we are here, why we exist. We are not randomly born into this world. We must open our hearts to Him. When it feels as though the entire world has turned its back on us, God is there. Jesus is REAL. He has promised in His Word, that He will never leave us or forsake us.

God would never break a promise to His children. The death of Jesus is something only God Himself can manifest, and all from LOVE itself. Remember… God is love. Love endures, my friends. Always!
