Thank God for Christian Women :: by Jim Torres

Men and more men are becoming wimps like never before. They are too busy with other things to care about the state of the nation. These wimps are going about collecting man toys like cars, motorcycles, boats and such, and far too many men are obsessed with playing video games these days.

They watch endless sports on the ever-expanding sports channels now available on T.V. They can tell you the year, the winning player, and final outcome and anything else you’d want to know about any certain game. And the sad truth is that many of these guys are Christian men, or so they say.

Still though, if you would ask them to quote Scripture verbatim they would probably only be able to recite John 3:16. These are the same guys who go to church every time the door is open. Some are leaders or even teachers in the church without heeding this verse written by the apostle Paul, “Be not many (of you) teachers, my brethren, knowing that we will incur stricter judgment.  For we all stumble in many ways.” This position in the church is not to be taken lightly.

More than ever before men are becoming addicted to porn, which is readily available on the Internet, and some are acting out their fantasies—especially in the so called Gay communities. Crude behavior, course joking and selfishness characterize these self-serving macho guys. And, of course, there are those who seek an opportunity to rob and pillage whenever the opportunity presents itself, as in Ferguson. Drug addiction and alcohol also make many men useless and oblivious to their surroundings.

In spite of the apathy, idolatry, and materialism, there are still a few good men on the national stage, men of conviction like Ted Cruz, Franklin Graham, and (you fill in the space——–). But these men are few and far between. See how hard it was to think of one? It seems they have relegated the decision making to the women folk and are unwilling to take a stand against evil,  tyranny and moral decay.

The National Cathedral in Washington is nothing less than an Episcopal Church, a church known for its far left liberalism, where lesbians and gays can now preach openly. But recently we had one brave woman who spoke out about Muslim prayers in that National Cathedral—with a loud voice. This lone woman deserves a medal and I’m sure she will be among the honored guests at the Bema Seat of Christ.

Women like her are having to step-up to the plate in all walks of life and they’re doing a good job of it. No, I’m not talking about self serving, abortion loving Hillary, Pelosi and their ilk. I’m talking about Bridgette Gabrielle, Michele Mulkin, and Ann Coulter to name a few. These are women who regardless of the consequences take a stand and let their voices be heard. My hat is off to them for their fighting spirit.

Speaking of a fighting spirit, there was a woman in Iraq who took down thirty cowardly ISIS soldiers after her innocent son was murdered by them in front of her very eyes. Here is something you may not know: These radical Muslims will run from a women who are intent on killing them because in their religion it is a sure way of losing their salvation and/or losing access to the seventy virgins they believe they will receive upon dying for the cause of Islam.

Women have taken the lead in writing about spiritual things, encouraging others and becoming involved in politics. (To be sure, there are some silly women dressed in skin tight black leather pants who have gone so far as to mount the pulpit to preach while strutting and pacing.) The differences in men and woman are self-evident.  Men are wired differently than women, which may be why God chose them to preach.

Most men are very careful in what they say, weighing the consequences before they speak.  Oftentimes this is done in a self serving way. Self preservation of body and character is paramount in a man’s mind.  “As a man thinketh, so is he.” I suppose you could call it cunningness or even acting. We men are obsessed with recognition and one-upmanship.

However, most men today choose to be politically correct and let the chips fall where they may as long as it doesn’t affect them. Where have all the good men gone? I for one, thank God for Christian women.

Movies

Kirk Cameron’s movie, Saving Christmas is still playing at select theatres.

And, Ouija just opened the doors to hell. I don’t believe in this phenomenon, but those who do can find themselves in psychological trouble for delving into divination, which is expressly forbidden in Scripture.

Until next time,
