The United States in Bible Prophecy :: by Gary Fisher

Part of my career is to assess the news in the light of Bible prophecy. Consequently, I am constantly monitoring what is going on around the world both positive and negative. In this regard, news about the United States is so negative of late and is just downright depressing.
It has been very disappointing to watch our national pride eroding and the respect other nations have had for the U.S. for two hundred plus years declining.

Our position as the world’s leader is slipping. We are leading the world in scandal and moral rot. Where will the U.S. wind up? I don’t know. I do know this, the Rapture will devastate what’s left of the United States. There is no other nation that will be as affected as the U.S. The main concern about the U.S. as far as it relates to Bible prophecy, is her weakening support for Israel.

I believe that the Lord is in a tolerant mode concerning the United States and the only thing securing that is our support for Israel. He only does this because He is honoring a promise made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob to bless those who bless them and curse those who curse them.

“I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed” (Genesis 12:3).

“Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you; for to you and your descendants I give all these lands, and I will perform the oath which I swore to Abraham your father” (Genesis 26:3).

We must continue to support Israel!
Of late, it seems that the gates of hell have been opened on the United States of America. Scandal, crime, and moral rot have dominated our news. Our 2013 spring and summer were filled with news about the Boston Marathon bombing, Snowden and the NSA spying on Americans, Fast & Furious, the Benghazi Consulate attack, seizing by the DOJ of editor and reporter phone records, the Supreme Court ruling on the Defense of Marriage Act that left
many of us just stunned, the Travon Martin/Zimmerman case, and the IRS targeting and delaying tax-exempt status simply because of political differences with the current administration, to name a few.

We are a compromised nation morally, financially, and spiritually. The main question that seems important is this: How much further can things degenerate? What will be the outcome if things continue to go south for us as a nation? It is my observation as a student of Bible prophecy that the U.S. is not in Bible prophecy specifically.

So then, what will happen to the United States? I believe that as our debt continues to grow, it will force us to consider allowing the European banks to buy our debt and we will effectively, at that point, be a part of the European Union. This fits considering that Revelation 13 indicates that the last world-wide economic system will be European and the U.S. will simply be part of it.
