Hope for the Redeemed :: By Paul Chudi

It seems as though during times like these, times in which you would often hear more bad news than good, and a time that you would see evil embraced before justice—it’s easy to get overwhelmed. We often may see how the world glorifies non-Christian celebrities and people who embrace a sinful lifestyle and may even at times envy via the flesh their position or worldly status even if it was just for a moment’s notice.

This is not only dangerous for a Christian’s spiritual walk but also sinful as well. This is made abundantly clear through Proverbs 24:1, “Do not be envious of evil men, nor desire to be with them; for their minds devise violence and their lips talk of trouble.” Nothing good comes out of giving power or servitude to the flesh.

This is why I’m writing about this topic because in this information age we live in the same way the good news (Gospel) of Christ can be spread around the globe in a matter of seconds through the Internet, satellite technology and other means, so can deception be easily spread; which unfortunately is what is mostly talked about. We as Christians need to understand the type of attitude and the outlook that we are supposed to have.

When we become born-again we are no longer the same person that we used to be, we are a new creature, a new person, 2 Corinthians 5:17 says:

“Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things are passed away; behold, new things have come.”

We were once of the flesh but for those of us who have accepted the free gift of salvation we become born of the spirit. That’s where the term born-again comes from.

John 3:1-3 RSV: “Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that you do, unless God is with him.” Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born anew [born-again] he cannot see the kingdom of God.”.

Once we become saved we are no longer supposed to look at things from a worldly perspective. But we are to see things in the same light that God sees them and do as He would want us to do. This means that we are to put God first in our lives. We are commanded to do so.

Matthew 22:35 says:

“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” and He said to him, “‘YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND. This is the great and foremost commandment.”

This means when it comes to trends, personal feelings or opinions, one’s own attitude and essentially the issues of life—we are to apply Gods opinion before our own. There is not a single situation that we may face that God Almighty has not already prepared for. If there is anything that we have trouble with we are instructed to cast our burdens on the Lord.

Matthew11:28-29 says:

“All things have been handed over to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.“Come to me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

God has made it clear what he expects of us throughout Scripture from the Old Testament all the way to the new. It’s all over Scripture and one of the most inspirational facts about all this, in my humble opinion is that in the end God triumphs over evil once and for all, His true saints (practicing believers) will live with Him forever and we shall be His people and He shall be our God.

It gives me goose bumps to know what the future of the saved will be like. Remember no matter how hard it gets here just remember that IT IS WORTH IT brethren, it’s worth it. In closing, God in his mercy gave us a glimpse into what will take place at the beginning of the final dispensation or age of eternity.

Revelation 21:5 states:

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.” And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” And He said, “Write, for these words are faithful and true.” Then He said to me, “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost.”

Are you rapture ready?
