This article is intended to ‘honor, thank, and salute’ all American patriots! True American patriots today are ‘Defenders of Liberty’ in our great country, just as the ‘Sons of Liberty’ also were in the time leading up to the Revolutionary War. It’s never been an easy or painless endeavor to be an American patriot. To have been an American patriot over the centuries has been a ‘sacrificial and costly’ proposition for all those involved, and this has been true since the first ‘shot heard round the world’ in Massachusetts back in 1775, which claimed the lives of the first American patriots killed in a battle with the British.
Defenders of liberty today are not only our brave men and women who serve in the military around the world, but also includes all those Americans in any walk of life who ‘sound the alarm’ to alert fellow American citizens to the various dangers facing our nation from both ‘inside and outside’ the borders of our beloved country, ‘The United States of America.’ Being defenders of liberty today is a similar role the ‘Sons of Liberty’ took upon themselves back in the pre-independence days of our nation. Those original patriots included people you’ve never heard of before, but also included such notable names as Samuel Adams, John Adams, John Hancock, Patrick Henry, Paul Revere, and many others. So–in recognition of your own outstanding contributions to American patriotism ‘today’ in the defense of liberty–consider yourself modern day versions of all those courageous patriots who have acted in defense of liberty throughout our nation’s history.

Today, it’s very plain to see that just because someone is elected to one of the highest offices of our land, including the ‘highest’ office in our country, it does not necessarily mean they are American patriots and ‘defenders of liberty.’ Many of our elected officials seemingly no longer desire to defend the Constitution of the United States, or represent the will of the people who elected them. It’s also obvious that most of the so-called ‘news’ people in the mainstream American media today ‘cannot’ be trusted or considered to be American patriots. They have willingly become liberal administration propaganda ‘puppets’ and are no longer an un-biased source for pertinent information, and no longer tell American citizens the truth. They no longer ‘sound the alarm’ against dangers imposed by our own government on our individual liberties as citizens. In other words, mainstream news people are no longer ‘defenders of liberty’ in our nation. What a sad and unfortunate fact!
Something has gone terribly wrong in the ‘course’ of our government…especially in the last four years! That is why it is so critical to VOTE in the upcoming general election on November 6, 2012. To ‘abstain’ from voting this year does not qualify you as an American patriot. American patriots over the years have been known for their ‘action’…not their inaction! If Paul Revere and William Dawes had not ‘sounded the alarm’, but sat at home…if the ‘Minutemen’ in Massachusetts had not taken a stand, but sat at home…if George Washington had not answered the call to service, but sat at home, if American patriots everywhere throughout the years had not taken a stand and taken action to gain our independence and defend our liberty, the United States of America most certainly could not have survived these 236 years!
WE THE PEOPLE of America today, the ‘patriotic’ people of America, must continue to take a stand for Liberty! The best way we can be known for our ‘action’ at this time is to get out and VOTE in the general election on November 6th. Your vote will help insure we get the ‘right’ people into the offices of our land. We need all the patriotic Americans we can get, preferably competent Christian patriots, into political offices all across America as soon as possible, to lead our nation into the days and years ahead and try to get us out of the social mess, moral mess, and economic mess we find ourselves in today.
