The True Religion of Peace :: By Brad Roberts

What does it mean to be a religion of peace?

Webster’s defines peace as a state of tranquility or quite; freedom from civil disturbance; freedom from disquieting thoughts or emotions; harmony in personal relations; a pact or agreements end hostilities between those who have been at war or in a state of enmity.

I don’t know about you but I am sick and tired of hearing that the Islamic Religion is the religion of peace, when all we see and hear is everything but peaceful! Anytime a tragic event happens in the Middle East we see hundreds if not thousands of people in the streets waving guns and shooting them in the air, burning flags or an effigy shouting and screaming like crazy folks.

Is it our pitiful media selling bad news to make a profit? Or is it really a lack of peace, love and understanding in their religion.

The massacre in Aurora, Colorado has taken the media by storm and once again the media hounds are pushing bad news. Don’t get me wrong! It is a tragically senseless act which my heart and prayers go out to the families whose lives were forever changed this week along with the rest of America. Once again in the heart of America we see hundreds of people pouring out their emotions in prayers, grieving peacefully, which are what Christians do. The Heart of America is Christian and believers in Jesus Christ.

This vile act is just another sign post that the last days are here and our time is so very short!

2 Timothy 3
But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, …

We are seeing all these prophecies come to pass at a speed faster than a speeding bullet and more powerful than a locomotive. The fighting in Syria and Egypt will not leap tall buildings but instead make them heaps of rubble. Is the turmoil in the Islamic countries peaceful and a state of tranquility? I think not!

Titus 1:16
They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.

“About sixty-one percent of the contents of the Koran are found to speak ill of the unbelievers or call for their violent conquest; at best only 2.6 percent of the verses of the Koran are noted to show goodwill toward humanity. About seventy-five percent of Muhammad’s biography (Sira) consists of jihad waged on unbelievers.” Dr. Moorthy Muthuswamy.

Is America peaceful and a state of tranquility? No way! But the reactions of both overwhelming majority of the people of these two religions speaks for itself as to whether which one is truly the religion of peace and love.

1 John 3:18
Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
