I Finally got it !!!!
After living 47 years without Jesus in my life, I finally got it. What did I get? I have eternal life in Heaven with my Lord and Savior, Jesus. “A-MEN”
John 14:1-3. (1) Let not your heart be troubled, you believe in God, believe also in me.
(2) In My Fathers house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
(3) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
There’s the promise from Jesus, He is at the Fathers house preparing a place for me and the promise that He will come again and take me to the Fathers house.
I finally got it !!! Is that all I got? Oh no I received so much more. I received a peace of mind that surpasses all understanding. All those times, all those nights where you have trouble sleeping. The times that circumstances are pressing you on all sides and you don’t have a good answer for these problems. There is an answer, go to the Lord in prayer tell Him this burden is too much for you and your turning it over to Him.
Philippians 4:6-7. (6) Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God; (7) and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Now I will tell you it is not always easy for me to turn it over to God. I’ll be lying in bed trying to go to sleep but my mind keeps going back to my current problem. Then I will recite Philippians 4:6-7 and I usually have to do this a number of times, but I will finally get it.
I finally got it !!! Is that all I got? Oh no that’s just the beginning of the things that I have received. I now have a family of brothers and sisters in Christ that I look forward to seeing when I go to worship service and Sunday school. Those that you can depend on for prayer, advice, or a helping hand. It is such a comfort to be part of a fellowship of believers in Christ. A family that you study the word of God with, increasing your knowledge of God’s word and growing in faith. Romans 10:17. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God
I finally got it!!! Is this all that I received when I accepted Jesus as my Lord and savior? No and this is just a small list of the blessings of God. Have you got it? Do you have a relationship with Christ Jesus? If you don’t it is so easy that even a small child can receive Christ as their Lord and Savior. Kneel down next to your bed and pray to Jesus and say these words. “Lord Jesus I know that I am a sinner and the wages of sin is death and that I cannot save myself. I know that you have already paid for the penalty of sin. From this day forward I will make you my Lord and Savior. I believe that you died on the cross for my sins, was buried and raised on the third day.”
Romans 10: 9,10,13.
(9)That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him (Jesus) from the dead you will be saved.
(10) For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
(13) For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
